FRIDAY NIGHT FUN!!! MORE FROM THE "BEE"

Last night I had another girls scrapping night with my friend Maraline and I was able to complete 2 more layouts using photos from my last trip to Ohio for the "Bee Happy Bee Scrappy" crop with Robin's Scrap Nest.

My first layout uses Make It Monday sketch #49
from The Memory Nest.

and my layout -
These photos were from a tag class with
 Shannon Commerford Wroblewski.

Robin always makes the most amazing name badges
for her crops!  So much detail!

Don't you love this bee?  I used them on my ATC cards and had so many left over that I have been using them on a lot of the layouts from this crop!

I hope you have enjoyed a bit more from my trip.  There will soon be a page that will come before this last one chronologically that will show you why Robin was crying.

Have an awesome weekend!

MORE FROM THE BEE!

In this post I am going to share 3 more pages from my April trip to Ohio Amish Country
for the Bee Happy Bee Scrappy Crop
with Robin's Scrap Nest!

The first uses an Overlay that I bought at the crop from Original Overlays

Isn't this ribbon adorable?

(YIKES!!!  a friend just pointed out my poor spelling! How did I miss that "H"?!
Must get that fixed ASAP!)

For my second layout I used
Scrapbook Challenges
Flashback Friday Sketch #303

and my layout -

 I am ENJOYING LIFE

Be yourself. EVERYONE ELSE IS TAKEN.

And my third layout uses The Memory Nest
Make It Monday #48

and a fun tag I created using a Julie Nutting doll and a
C-thru the Woods doll.

For some reason I thought there was a
pink & black doll challenge but I can't seem to figure out which site I had seen it on!

And now...off to bed!

Sweet Dreams to all!

A DAY IN THE PARK! A LAUGH! MORE FROM THE BEACH 1996! and A PROMISE!

Last weekend Thomas found this punk show he wanted to see in a big park in Philadelphia.  It was a beautiful day so I grabbed a pad of watercolor paper and a bunch of mediums to play with.

Here's a bit of what came out of my afternoon... (please remember that I do NOT have any raw drawing talents so this was actually a big deal!)

THE PARK

This was the spot I ended up sitting in...

Watercolor crayons

Derwent Inktense blocks

THE LAUGH!

And now I have a funny to share -

Is this not simply THE cutest?

THE BEACH!

My first layout uses sketch #44 from
Make It Monday at The Memory Nest

I rotated the sketch 1/4 turn to the left, and I used 2 photos instead of 3 because of their orientation.

and a few close-ups -

A PROMISE!

My next layout is for the design team call over at Let's Get Sketchy!

So first I will tell you a little bit about the call in case you also want to submit a creation of your own. Let's Get Sketchy is a sketch blog owned by Brenshevia Baker, previously owner of the Ning site Colorful Creations.   She is very talented and a lot of fun to work with.  As a DT on this site you will need to complete 2 layouts per month, comment on all entries to the challenges and post the challenges on your blog.

Full details can be found in the post at: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com/2015/07/lets-get-sketchy-design-team-call.html?spref=fb

There were 2 sketches to choose from. Here is the one I deciced to use.

and here is my layout -

and a few close-ups -

I loved this saying and thought it was perfect... after all, not many of us get to truly enjoy a really rainy day...but getting an opportunity to see this most spectacular rainbow reminded me that if you are not ready to enjoy all your minutes you could miss out on something as amazing as this rainbow!

The circle was cut from a wonderful clear acrylic sheet with tiny lavender dimensional dots.

Here you can see the 2 fun embossing folders I used if you can pull your eyes away from that spectacular rainbow!

Truly a PROMISE from God.

I am also entering this layout in
Word Art Wednesday challenge #192.

MORE FROM THE BEACH CIRCA 1996

I have been (and will be) sharing more over the next few weeks some layouts that I have created using photos from a trip to the NJ Shore back in 1996.

For today's layout I used a sketch for Make It Monday challenge #43 from The Memory Nest.

Here's the sketch -

For my layout I rotated it 1/4 turn clockwise.

Here's my layout -

and a few fun close-ups-

I have a really hard time with 'white space'.  This started out as a solid pale blue piece of cardstock. I had this new rolling stamp so I inked it up and ran it diagonally all over the page.  That still didn't quite cut it for me so I got out a red Pitt pen to match the embossed red cardstock mat under the photos.  I added my favorite swirls all over.

The ivory mat on top of the patterned beach paper is a piece of paper made from banana skins!

I hope you have enjoyed my layout...oh BTW the top photo was my husband and the bottom one is my half sister who is 20 years my senior.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope that you will leave a comment letting me know you were here and what you thought!  Have a great day!

HAVE A BEE-U-TIFUL DAY!

Today I have a short post with a card I made for my friend Robin of Robin's Scrap Nest.  Today she had spinal surgery and I wanted to send her something to cheer her up.  I just came back from her Bee Happy!  Bee Scrappy! crop so this stamp set was just perfect.

I used the sketch from The Memory Nest
Make It Monday #38.

I rotated the sketch 1/4 turn to the left.

and here is my card -

The stamp was from a set I got from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  They have a great selection of stamps, many with matching dies, lotys of great sentiment stamps etc.  You should go check them out.

Hope you enjoyed seeing little
Rhubarb the Bear as a Bee!

Thanks for stopping by.
All comments gratefully appreciated.

BEE HAPPY! BEE SCRAPPY! - TONS OF FUN TUESDAY!

This is the last full day of Robin's Scrap Nest
Bee Happy! Bee Scrappy! Crop at the
Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek.

In the morning we checked out some of the great gift shops - especially Carlisle Gifts which was right across the street and had an amazing selection - a little bit of everything!

Next we headed to Rebecca's Bistro for lunch.

And after lunch we got to play with paper dolls!  That was something I always enjoyed when I was a young girl.  These Julie Nutting doll stamps are so much fun.

Here's my doll -

And my final creation from the crop uses Make It Monday sketch #37 from The Memory Nest.

and here's my layout!

ANOTHER MERRY LAYOUT!

I was able to get another Christmas photo scrapped!  I think this one will be my starting point when I put them in an album.

I chose The Memory Nest sketch #33. It was a really simple sketch.  I still have a few of these great Kraft papers with fun Christmas patterns already on them so I figured that would be perfect.

Here is the sketch -

I am also entering this in Soul Scrappers ABC with a Twist.  This month is the letter "B" with the embellishment being 'buttons'.  You need to use a "B" word in your title as well as adding buttons.  I used 2 words...Boxes and Bags as well as lots of those tiny little buttons!

Here is my layout!

I thought you would enjoy some close-ups as well!
This snowman was part of the printed paper.
I thought he was just SO cute!

I loved this little Santa I found in some very old stash
from back when I tried to sell TLC Products!

Doesn't this just scream 'Wizard of Oz' to you?

A bit of Washi and buttons!

and I thought that this little accent was perfect for all the presents stacked there Christmas Eve night before heading to bed.  Although my boys are now too old to still believe in 'Santa' it gave it that just delivered by Santa feel!

As always I am so happy to know that you stopped by to view my creations.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you thought!
