Hamas The Cause Of All Wars

The video is less than a minute and it is one of the most heartbreaking minutes I have ever watched. I just want to hug her.

This video first aired on Palestinian TV. Some of the folks at Hot Air think it is Fatah propaganda to discredit Hamas. I still want to give the girl a hug and have a good cry with her.

A Broken Hands Policy

Hamas is breaking hands and shooting feet of Fatah supporters in Gaza.

The Hamas government has placed dozens of Fatah members under house arrest out of fear that they might exploit the current IDF operation to regain control of the Gaza Strip.

Fatah officials in Ramallah told The Jerusalem Post that Hamas militiamen had been assaulting many Fatah activists since the beginning of the operation last Saturday. They said at least 75 activists were shot in the legs while others had their hands broken.

Wisam Abu Jalhoum, a Fatah activist from the Jabalya refugee camp, was shot in the legs by Hamas militiamen for allegedly expressing joy over the IDF air strikes on Hamas targets.
It looks like Hamas has a two front war on its hands. Or maybe three or four. And what ever happened to that national unity government between Fatah and Hamas we used to hear so much about? Haven't they heard that a house divided will not stand? In addition having to guard their own people reduces their fighting strength.
Meanwhile, sources close to Hamas revealed over the weekend that the movement had "executed" more than 35 Palestinians who were suspected of collaborating with Israel and were being held in various Hamas security installations.

The sources quoted Hamas officials as saying that the decision to kill the suspected collaborators was taken out of fear that Israel might try to rescue them during a ground offensive. The officials claimed that at least half of the victims were killed by relatives of Palestinian militiamen who were killed as a result of information passed on to Israel by the "collaborators."
Civilization has at last come to Gaza in the form of more blood feuds. This has got to end badly. For all concerned.

It appears to me that the real dynamic is "last man left standing". If Fatah stays out of the fight it will gain strength. If Hamas does not fight they will lose face. If they do fight they will lose fighters. A win-win for Fatah.

Criminals Arrested

Criminals? What criminals? Fatah criminals.

Hamas security forces detained at least 30 members of a large Fatah clan in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, in what the movement said was a raid targeting criminals but the family said was politically motivated.

According to Reuters, witnesses said Hamas forces made the arrests after entering a group of houses in Gaza City belonging to the Fatah-affiliated Abu Amra clan. Hamas security officers said the raid was aimed at confiscating weapons and drugs.
Sounds like Compton.

In this case I think the police want a the drug trade all to themselves. Say, it might not be too different from Compton after all.

Hamas Is Revolting

The Mecca Accords are causing dissention in the ranks of Hamas.

"Hamas is facing a serious split," the sources said. "Opposition in Hamas to the Mecca agreement is growing as some of the movement's senior officials are talking about a possible revolt."

The "rejectionist" camp in Hamas, led by Interior Minister Said Siam and Foreign Affairs Minister Mahmoud a-Zahar, is opposed to the Mecca agreement under the pretext that Hamas made too many concessions to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction.

Both Siam and Zahar have privately criticized Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh and Syria-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal for signing the agreement, a top Hamas official in Gaza City told The Jerusalem Post.

He said the two, along with a number of senior Hamas figures in the Gaza Strip, have refused to participate in coalition talks with Fatah representatives over the past few weeks. The two are expected to lose their jobs in the new Hamas-led coalition.

"Siam and Zahar are unhappy with the agreement not only because they won't serve in the unity government, but because they believe that Hamas has made far-reaching political concessions," the official said. "They are convinced that Hamas is gradually abandoning its ideology as Fatah did when it signed the Oslo Accords with Israel more than a decade ago."
What is the ideological difference between Hamas and Fatah (Conquest)? There is only one major difference. The time table for the destruction of Israel. Hamas says right now. Fatah says it may take longer.

I guess the Palestinian National unity government may be delayed a little longer.

Hamas Surrenders

At least that is what al-Zawahri says.

Al-Qaida's number two leader criticized Hamas for agreeing to form a national unity government according to an audio recording broadcast Sunday by Al-Jazeera satellite channel.

"Hamas has fallen in the swamp of surrender," Ayman al-Zawahri said, according to the excerpts broadcast by the Qatari-based channel.

Give Us The Money - Or Else

The Palestinians will soon have the long awaited National Unity Government. It will not be renouncing violence, recognizing Israel, or accepting past signed peace agreements. The requirements for restarting aid to the Palestinian Arabs.

Recognition of Israel is one of three conditions set by the "Quartet" of international Middle East negotiators for lifting sanctions on the Hamas-led government. The Quartet also demands Hamas renounce violence and accept existing peace deals.

"The issue of recognition was not addressed at all (in Mecca)," Youssef said.

"In the platform of the new government there will be no sign of recognition (of Israel), regardless of the pressures the United States and the Quartet would exert."

The Quartet -- the United States, Russia, European Union, and the United Nations -- repeated its conditions on Friday for a resumption of aid, but withheld judgment on whether the new government met those conditions.

Youssef said a continuation of the aid boycott imposed after Hamas trounced Fatah in elections last year could lead to more violence in Palestinian Territories.
In other words give us the money or we will continue killing each other. We need the money so we can focus our violent tendencies on the Israelis.

Well the Palestinians are on the verge of calling off their truce with Israel.
GAZA, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- A senior leader of Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) called on Palestinian factions on Saturday to revoke ceasefire with Israel in response to the excavation works near al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.

"The Israeli occupation understands nothing but rockets," said Nezzar Rayan, who also urged militant groups to "respond to enemy's violations."
Funny thing is that despite the "truce", rocket attacks on Israel never stopped.
