Easter - DT Project
Happy Wednesday. As we celebrate the Passion Week and celebrate Resurrection Sunday, I created one project for two DT assignments that fell on the same day. This project is for For Fun Challenges and for my last project at Cooking With Cricut. Yes that's right. I'm no longer on the Cooking With Cricut team. BUT...Melin couldn't get rid of me that easy. I'm now on her Design Team at PaperCraftingWorld.com so be on the lookout for plenty of projects coming in the next few months.
So for today, I wanted to create a card that celebrated Easter or as I call it...Resurrection Sunday! Here is my card that is created with simple flourish stamps, a dove stamp, and cuts from the Wedding Cricut cartridge. I hope you like this card. Please know that as we celebrate Easter we are able to do so because he didn't stay dead! Why do you look for the living among the dead? He's alive!!! Hallelujah! That's the best news I've heard all week.

Paper Tree House Studio Faith Blog Hop
UPDATE 2/25/2011 @ 7:19 AM EST
Welcome to Paper Tree House Studio's Friends, Love, and Faith Blog Hop. Today, we're out in force on the internet -- showing our faith and giving the glory to God. United, we stand as Christian paper crafters and blog owners to make a presence on the internet for all to see. If you are hopping with us, you should have hopped over from Natalie's blog. If you happened to just come across this post and you want to join in on the fun, make sure you jump over to the beginning so that you do not miss out: Paper Tree House Studio. After scouting out my projects, you'll head over to Iris's blog and view her amazing project. We're celebrating the theme of faith and we're happy to share our projects with you based on the verse:
"...those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31)
First, we would like to take a moment to thank our generous co-sponsors: Zutter, Paper Trunk, Create 365, Memorable Seasons, Scrapbook News and Review, as well as Papperie. Together with Paper Tree House Studio, these companies have donated some wonderful prizes for today's blog hop.
Prizes? Oh, yeah! There will be three blessed grand prize winners for today's event.
To enter, simply hop through the blogs and take note of all of the participating DT members of Paper Tree House Studio, and make sure to jot down the "blessed words" they will have in their post, and leave a comment on their posts. Once you gather all of the words, you will have another special Scripture to inspire you to create while leaving His legacy. Then send us an email at mypapertreehousedt@gmail.com listing each of the staff members who participated in today's hop and the completed Scripture. It's that easy. All entries must be received by Monday, February 28, 2011 at 12 noon, EST and seven winners will be randomly chosen to win.
What are the prizes?
One Cricut Gypsy from Paper Tree House Studio
One Bind-it-All from Zutter
One baggy of goodies from Create 365
One baggy of goodies from Papperie
One baggy of goodies from Paper Trunk
One year subscription to Scrapbook News and Review
One $15 gift card to Memorable Seasons so that you can purchase your favorite goodies!!
In addition, many of our participating bloggers will have amazing blog candy and RAKS available for one of their blessed visitors by simply leaving a comment and becoming a follower on their blog. That's a lot of chances to win, so let's get to the Hop!
Here are my projects. I have a friend whose father was tragically killed this Tuesday. In fact, I'm collecting sympathy cards for her. I decided to make a card...well three of them. I hope she likes them and is blessed with knowing that we care.
I forgot to leave a message about my prize pack on the post. Someone will win a small surprise pack of scrapbook goodies. To be eligible, be sure to leave a comment on this post with a way to contact you and have a US address. If my celebrity Randy picks someone from outside the US, I'll try to get a prize together for you as well. Fair? I don't require you to be afollower friend, but I promise you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay awhile. I will select a name by Monday, Feb. 28. If you'd like to help in the effort to gather cards for my friend Jane who lost her father, please email me at askscrappinsista (at) hotmail (dot) com and I'll send you all the details. Here's a link to the news article http://www.wltx.com/news/story.aspx?storyid=124194
Enjoy!!!

Congratulations Matthew and Melanie
Congratulations to Matthew and Melanie White as they start their new life together as one. I was honored with the privilege of creating their wedding ceremony programs and dinner menu cards. Here is a peak at both items. The colors are midnight blue, ice blue, and white. The backing in midnight blue, the menu and main pages of the program are ice blue and the top layer of the program was printed on vellum.
Happy Scrappin'!

Favors for Bridal Show
I participated in a Bridal Show yesterday and made some favors as take aways for the couples. They were a hit and I'm so glad. This was my very first show so I was a little nervous. Here is a picture of the favors.
