Hey Scrappers. Here is a quick card I created using the Serenade cartridge for the Paper Cutz Challenge. The color combo was red, white, and black with any theme. Here is the card that I came up with. I used DS to create the welded card base. The final card is a 5.5 x 5.5 inches. The layers are cut 1/2 smaller than the base. I used mainly scraps and cardstock from the Recollections pack. Enjoy!

Think Pink Blog Hop - FINAL DAY & My 35th Birthday
THINK PINK BLOG HOP
&
MY 35th BIRTHDAY
If you have been with us all weekend, it's been a blast. I have new friends and I challenged myself to participate in my first blog hop. Whew. Now that we are drawing to a close, it's bittersweet. I've met some amazing women and made some new friends. I don't want it to end. I also am celebrating my 35th birthday today. As I said on my FB page, birthdays are sometimes tough for me. I lost my father to complications with surgery related to prostate cancer this month in 1996. Knowing that God is in control has helped me through all of the rough times and I know in the end, I win. This year is another tough year as we just got word that my husband's only uncle on his mother's side died on Saturday. In my DH's words, we are 5 for 5. Five close family deaths in the last five years. So you see, birthdays don't always hold the fondest memories for me. I am determined to make this one a good one though.
Now...on to my projects for today. By today, you have the hang of how this are going so I will not bore you with details. If you want info on how the projects were created, send me at message at christel (at) majesticdedsigns (dot) net and I will hopeful be able to tell you in a clear manner how it all came together.
My first project is a magnet. This is a scraplift from one of the sisters on Scraps of Color. Hopefully it will remind someone to get their mamos and do monthly checks. I used the Forever Young cartridge to create it.
The second and final, yet I feel most important item is a prayer journal. I wanted to make it more elaborate but neither time nor resources permitted me to do so. I have included scriptures that talk about hope as well as space to journal blessings. I want to encourage my friends who are battling any type of disease to count your blessings. It definitely makes things a little easier each day!
Well, that's all folks. Thank you for stopping by and sharing so much love this weekend. I've read all the comments and will post a winner tomorrow. Make sure to come back and see if it was you!

ESS102 & Sisters in Christ Challenge
I hope everyone got to scrap something for WCMD. I only had the opportunity to make one card because I am working on two wedding projects. I will share after they are completed.
I created this card with two challenges in mind. At ESS, their is a sketch challenge. It's really cute and simple. At Sisters in Christ, the challenge was use a Christian symbol for peace, with John 14:27 in mind.
This card is made using all scraps. The pattern cardstock was cut and scored to create a standard A2 size card. I then layered blue cardstock and white cardstock that I had in my stash on top of that. Using the Martha Stewart lattice border punch, I created what I think looks like lace out of a scrap of the blue cardstock. Using the Forever Young and Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridges, I created the scalloped oval and oval layers for the sentiment. The sentiment once stamped looks better in person. It actually looks as though it is floating on the paper. It reads, " Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." This was a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King. I stamped it with silver ink and colored in the edges of the cross with a brown marker. I embossed the word believe in the lower corner and added 3 pearls for an accent. Enjoy!

Scrapbookaholic Challenge
Here is my submission for my 3rd challenge. Over on Scapbookaholic, she presented the challenge of creating someting based on the digital sketch she created.
So, I'm making some scrapbooks for special people (Shhh! It's a secret!) and took this opportunity to create a page for one of the books. I hope you enjoy. I used my cricut with the Forever Young cartridge, Plantin Schoolbook, and Home Accents. The "wild" paper you see on the page is from Hobby Lobby. It's called Untamed Safari. The other paper is left over paper that I have in my stash. I really liked this challenge. Enjoy!!!
