Heartwarming Friendship

Hello everybody from sunny Australia. It's Donna , and I have a card to share with you. The cold has finally broken here, and I’m enjoying a hot day (from inside, and with a cool drink - I don’t really want to get hot; it’s just nice to know that I could if I wanted to!) I really am loving this Friendship Blessings stamp set. I love the height on the flowers, and the beautiful clean lines. I have googled crocuses to colour my image. They seem to come in two main colours - yellow and purple. I absolutely loved the yellow crocuses, but when I  looked in my stash of Copics, I had very little in the way of yellows, so I went with purple instead. I coloured the image with Copics, and rather than blending them as I usually do, I built up layers of colour using thin sweeps of the marker, leaving the striations visible, just as they are on the real flowers. I really love this look, and these flowers really showed if off well. The background was created by stamping the same im
Hello dear friends! Martha Lucia here with you today!  A day filled with happiness should be everyday. I am this kind of person that think that if you do what you love you are happy and I am so happy using this stamp set called Beautiful Blooms - Hydrangea from Kennedy Grace . This month the mood board of Kenny Grace Creations is plenty of inspiration, combining gold with rose red colors, It inspires me to use Metallic Gold Embossing Paste and stencil to create the background of my card. I used Spiral Petals Stencil from Hero Arts over a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and let dry very well before to paste over the whisper white card base . I stamped the  Beautiful Blooms - Hydrangea three times over watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with distress inks before to fussy cut them with my scissors . I used two colors of distress ink for coloring the flowers, Candied Apple and Abandoned Coral and two colors of distress ink for coloring the leaves

Loving Mom with color pencils

Loving Mom colored card is a project that I made using one of my favorites stamp sets and colored with a mix of color pencils and ink. First take a look at my card that then I will share with you my tips: I started worked on this card by stamp the big lili flower with a light ink and masking technique over a whisper white layer of cardstock . I used the Memento Desert Sand ink and I first stamped the flower of the center and then the laterals. The last one was the small. I used the masking technique to keep the individual design of each flower and don't overlap the petals and make the coloring process more interesting. I colored with different tones of blue and violet, some yellows, green and brown of Prismacolor Premier Color Pencils , this blend perfect and produce very brilliant tones. When I was totally satisfied with the coloring, I covered again the flowers with the masking pieces that I created at the initial step and sponged the lower part with Distress I

Just a ( Yellow) Rose Card

Jill here, back again to share a card I made using Kennedy Grace Creation's stamp, Just a Rose . My idea was to create an elegant card with bold accenting.  I chose to use Stampin' Up!'s black and white striped DS paper as my backdrop for the card's main design layer.  I first stamped the rose image on NSW 80# cardstock, then carefully masked over it so that I could white heat emboss the leaf  images from Altenew's Floral Shadow stamp.  I then blended some Antique Linen and Old Paper Distress Inks onto the cardstock to bring out those leafy images. I then unmasked my rose and proceeded to color it in Copic markers, light yellows and oranges (my favorite color rose). I used a slightly darker/browner orange for the stamens, then swiped some Wink of Stella across them for a little shimmer. I colored the leaves then decided I wanted to frame the flower panel, so I die cut a frame using 2 Stitched Rectangles from Simon Says Stamp from some NSW 110# cardstock.  I

Heartfelt Thanks with Erica

Hello, Erica back on the blog today. I've swapped a day with poor Rachel who has done her back in but she's going to cover one of my dates while I'm moving house at the end of the month and beginning of next. A Thank You card seemed appropriate for today's post with that in mind. I stamped up the lovely bloom from  Just A Rose  and coloured it in with my Copic markers. I wanted a light and bright look so I used a flicking motion and left plenty of white space on the petals. The leaves I did in a similar manner but the stamens in the middle got a dark pink colour. I fussy cut the flower out and added foam tape to the back of it while I was in a cutting frenzy. Once that was done I set it aside and started on the background. Grabbing my new Distress Oxide inks I blended some green shades all over a card panel. My first idea was to stamp up some leaves on it and make it look like a rose bush on which the flower would sit. I decided on trying something new inste

Distress Oxide experiment!

Hello and welcome to the Kennedy Grace Creations blog this fine day! Today I have a fun and different card for you as I tried something out with my new Distress Oxide inks and I thought I'd share it with you. I have been playing with different ways of using them and this was a successful attempt, it's a back-to-front distress ink blending thing... ish... sorta. Right, let's get to it! First off I die cut a panel in Strathmore Bristol Vellum water colour card stock which was going to be the front part of the card. Then I got the  Just A Rose  stamp set out and stamped it on a large piece of masking film, using a craft scalpel I cut out the rose part only. Are you getting where I'm going with this? Yeah? Can you see it? As I was doing a flower I decided to use Worn Lipstick and blended it over the "flower hole". I thought the flower needed a little bit of detail so I dabbled a little bit of Burnt Brick using a brush to created tiny

Spring birthday card

Hello, hello, hello! Erica on the blog today, how are we all doing? Excited about Easter and having a few days off? We don't really do anything special for Easter in our house apart from having some chocolate Easter eggs and I do decorate a little bit. The decorating is more for a spring-y feel as I adore spring with all the flowers that pop up, buds on all the bushes and trees, warmer and longer days. It all makes me happy. Today's card is yellow and green, which are in my mind typical spring colours. I started out by stamping the  Beautiful Bloom-Sweet Rose  flower stamp on Strathmore Bristol Vellum water colour paper, I heat embossed it in white as my plan was to use my Derwent Inktense pencils for the colouring. I have neglected these watercolour pencils for a while and thought it would be nice to change things up a little from the Zig markers and Gansai Tambi watercolours I have used a lot recently. I started with the leaves and with a water colour brush dropped gr

Spring is here!!

Hi Patricia here , with a new card using Beautiful Bloom Sunflower  .  I make a clean and simple card. First I stamp my image on Watercolor paper using versafine ink, then I mask the image and stamp with the same ink the background stamp , then I color my background using two of the new oxide distress inks and stamp my sentiment.  Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by. Love and Laughter,

Baby Boy card bonanza!

Hi, Erica here with two cards today! For the release post I made two baby girl card and only one boy card. Naturally, all my friends have decided to give birth to baby boys recently so that one itty-bitty card was already spoken for. Time to remedy that with another two boy cards and the sweet  Sweet Baby Mine  stamp set. I started by cutting two A2 sized pieces of Strathmore Bristol Vellum card stock as I wanted to do an ink blended background for both cards. Using Post-It tape I taped strips across the panel to create a pattern, slightly different on both to keep it interesting. On one I went for blue and the other one got green and yellow. I also splattered more blue ink on the blue one and green ink on the green/yellow one. On another piece of Bristol I stamped two baby lions with VersaMark ink and heat embossed them in white embossing powder. These got coloured in with Zig markers and then fussy cut. On the blue card I also cut out a white frame as well

Sweet Welcome Baby Girl Greeting Card Featuring Sweet Baby Mine

Welcome to the Kennedy Grace Creations blog. Today I am featuring the newest clear stamp set - Sweet Baby Mine. To start off the card I heat embossed the star Hero Arts, star background stamp onto watercolor cardstock. I then used my Tim Holtx Distress Inks and ink blended a night sky background. I used Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistacio and Wilted Violet distress ink colors. I then die cut the banner frame die, which I purchased on Amazon. I cut it twice from thick Bristol cardstock, and adhered them together for a little dimension. I then adhered it to the background star panel I created behind the banner frame, and cut off the excess. I then used a Darice cloud embossing folder on some light blue Bazzil Cardstock to make my card base. I added the star frame to the embossed card front. I then stamped the adorable Hippo from the Sweet Baby Mine clear stamp set. I colored her up with my Copic Markers and fussy cut her out. I then adhered this adorable Hippo to the bott
