XOXO

Hiya!  Today I'm bringing you a little hugs and kisses inspiration for Valentine's day!  Can you believe it's only 10 days away?? For this project I used the new February mood board.  Lookie at all the pretty colors! I about swooned when I saw the mood board!  So many lovely colors to work with.  I don't know about you but I'm tired of the wintery gray weather.  I need some color!  This totally fit the bill. The Loving Mom  stamp set steals the show on this card!  I started by making a heart mask.  I first used the negative piece of the mask to cover the entire card front.  I stamped the main flower several times to fill up most of the space.  I used the very small leaf from the You Inspire Me  set to fill in a little bit more space and finished up with a heart outline stamp. Next I peeled the mask off and carefully placed the positive heart mask.  I took Cracked Pistachio distress oxide ink and sponged all along the edges of the mask.  I

Beautiful Blooms

Hello crafty friends!  Martha Lucia here with you. Today I prepared a project with one of the fabulous stamp set from Kennedy Grace Stamps. I used the Just a Rose Stamp set with color pencils and some die cuts. Take a look at my card: I stamped the flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink over a whisper white layer of cardstock. I pasted this layer directly over the card base hat is whisper white too. Then I colored the flowers with Prismacolor Premier color pencils and when I was satisfied with coloring I created a frame using rectangle scallop die cut and decorated paper. I pasted the frame a little moved to create the idea of movement using double sided foam tape. In a separate piece of whisper white cardstock I stamped two sentiments included on the same stamp set  Just a Rose Stamp set using two different colors of Memento Ink, Lilac Lavender and Grape Jelly. I cut the sentiments and pasted over each flower using double sided foam tape or dimensionals. This stam

Tags abound

Hiya to all the crafty people who are stopping by at the Kennedy Grace Creations blog today.  I'm here with a bit of a treat.  I have LOTS of tags to show you.  The best part is that I'm showing different ways to use the same stamp sets.  I hope this gets you thinking! When I first started on my project the only thing I really had in my mind was that I wanted to make tags and I wanted to use some of the gorgeous Kennedy Grace Creations sequins.  I mean, have you looked at all the different sequins they have available?? Let's dive right in to the first set. Look at all the pretty sequins!  Let's take it tag by tag so I can give you all the details. I started by cutting out a piece of cream colored cardstock with a stitched die.  This was not intended to be a tag but I punched out a hole and instant tag!  I stamped the floral image from Grace's Little Note  and heat embossed it in silver.  I masked it and sponged on Antique Linen distress oxide ink.

Blue Flowers for Christmas

Hello dear frends, Martha Lucia here with you! Blue Flowers for Christmas and flowers for everything! I love the stamps of Kennedy Grace Creations because they have an amazing collection of flowers and they are my favorites!  Today I have a project to share with you using the Grace's Little Note stamp set . Take a look at my card:   This is not a Christmas stamp set but with a little of creativity you can make whatever you want. And this is what I made. I just decided to stamp one of the flowers included on the stamp set Grace's Little Note with Versamark Ink and Gold Embossing Powder over Basic Black Cardstock and melted the powder. I tried not to connect the flowers so since I stamped one by one it was very easy to remove the powder when I didn't want to connect the flowers.   Then using Prismacolor Premier Color Pencils I colored each flower. In this opportunity I went with the blues and greens. I used two different blues and two different greens, but de

Loving Mom with color pencils

Loving Mom colored card is a project that I made using one of my favorites stamp sets and colored with a mix of color pencils and ink. First take a look at my card that then I will share with you my tips: I started worked on this card by stamp the big lili flower with a light ink and masking technique over a whisper white layer of cardstock . I used the Memento Desert Sand ink and I first stamped the flower of the center and then the laterals. The last one was the small. I used the masking technique to keep the individual design of each flower and don't overlap the petals and make the coloring process more interesting. I colored with different tones of blue and violet, some yellows, green and brown of Prismacolor Premier Color Pencils , this blend perfect and produce very brilliant tones. When I was totally satisfied with the coloring, I covered again the flowers with the masking pieces that I created at the initial step and sponged the lower part with Distress I
