Kennedy Grace Creations

Hi everyone, Heidi here, for today’s project I created a baby card with some gender neutral and alternative colours. To start this fun card I stamped three of the images from the Kennedy Grace Creations “Sweet Baby Mine” stamp set on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper with Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and I clear heat embossed afterwards. This way the lines stay black and crisp no matter how much water you ad.   The idea behind this card is that these cuties are the baby's toy animals. Then I started colouring with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and my Pentel waterbrush. I used the following colours: Lemon Yellow and Yellow, Bright Yellow and Orange, May Green, Pale Green and Green, Pale Dawn Gray, Haze Blue, Shadow Mauve, Light Gray and Light Blue. I went over the yellow parts of the animals with my “Clear” Wink of Stella and added some white lines with a Gelly Roll Pen for more interest. Karen with you today on the Kennedy Grace blog and I'm featuring another card using the stamp set called Graces Little Notes.   I went with autumn tones today, secretly, I actually really like all tones of orange.  The flower is coloured in pencil and fussy cut by hand the old fashioned way with a pair of scissors.  By the way if you are looking for a great pair of scissors for fussy cutting I can recommend EK Success Cutter Bee.  I have bought all sorts of scissors in the past from cheap and nasty to more reputable brands and I can honestly say Cutter Bee are the best by a long shot.  My family knows not to touch them unless they fear for their life. Back to the card... it has a vintage feel to it with the papers I chose and I went with cream rather than white for the sentiment panel.    Its finished off with a few Peaches and Cream sequins. Hello, everyone! It's Rachel back again today with a floral friendship card. I started by stamping my roses on a scrap piece of white cardstock and then coloring them in with my Copics. Red - R35, R37, R39 Green - YG95, YG97, YG99 Gray - C00, C1, C3 I then centered the roses in a circle die and cut them out. I set that aside to start on my card base. I stamped my script background stamp in Smoke ink and then adhered my circle piece on top. I cut a banner from some black cardstock and then stamped the first part of my sentiment on it in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I cut the "friend" part of the sentiment from some white cardstock and then covered it in Versamark ink and heat embossed in silver to create my own metallic paper. I carefully adhered the banner over the bottom of the circular piece and then used my multi-medium matte to adhere the die cut on top of the banner. Hello there! Erica here with my last blog post for July. Today I'm steering away from both birthday and thank you cards if you can believe it..! Yep, today's card is a simple 'hello' one. With some water coloured flowers of course. Because why not? I didn't really have a design in mind when I started this card, I just wanted to do some colouring and have some me-time. Right now, we have hydrangeas blooming all around our neighbourhood and one of my favourite colours is the one that is blue/purple. I love that deep, intense colour and tried replicating that on my flowers here. Sure, it's not a hydrangea stamp but just work with me for a minute ;-) I picked out one of the little flower stems in the  Grace's Happy Heart  and heat embossed it in white in a pattern on my water colour card stock. Hi, it's Beverly Jordan here on the Kennedy Grace Creations Blog again today, and am featuring the  Grace's Little Note  Stamp. I used the sketch below to frame the beautiful flowers.   I cut the Prima Marketing Sparkling Spring collection paper called Giselle, to an A2 size of 5.5x4.25 inches. I die cut a scallop out and then after coloring the flower, die cut that Neenah Bright white cardstock out with a circle die by Spellbinders. I felt the large print gingham ribbon matched well with the feel of the card to match. I used Crystal Laquer to glue down all the fine pieces but used Scrappy red Tape for the ribbon. Also used  Pink Passion Sequins  for the extra loving touch in opposite corners. I took close ups of the upper righthand corner to show you the fine detail of these gorgeous sequins! Hi everyone, Heidi here on the blog! Today I have this easy and fun roses card for you all: I started this card by stamping the roses from the awesome Kennedy Grace Creations “Splendid Roses” stamp set onto Cornwall Aquarel paper (Grain Fin, bright white) after die cutting a stitched rectangle with one of my nesting dies. For stamping I used Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and my MISTI stamping tool (this aquarel paper is fairly smooth but to get even black lines I needed to ink up my stamp several times). Next I started colouring the image with my Gansai Tambi 36 watercolour set, water and a regular brush. I used the following colours:  33 / 31 / 53 and 58. After all the watercolouring was dry I created some lighter accents with a white Uni-Ball Signo pen. Then I started working on the background: I created a nice damask background with a foam applicator tool, Distress Ink in the colour “Weathered Wood” and a stencil from Scrapberry’s called “Damascus”, going lighter to
