Kindness Starts With Us

Hello! Rachel here today with another simple card. The word "kindness" has been on my mind a lot lately, so I guess it's just business as usual that it made its way onto a card I created. I started my card by cutting a panel with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. I stamped my image to the left of the card and then used my Copics to color them. I used a different blue combination than I normally do for this one - B37, B45, B93, and B41. My YGs were the typical YG99, YG97, and YG95. I used my cool grays (C3, C1, and C00) to create the halo around my images that makes them look like they pop off the white card. After coloring my image, I used my Kindness die to cut the word from panel. I also cut 3 other words from white card stock. I adhered them all together with the colored portion on top and then after adhering my panel to a card base, inlaid the die inside the cut. This is one of my favorite techniques. It adds a lot of interest to a card without add

Layered gift tag

Hello, Erica back on the blog! Hey, hey, hello, how are we all doing today? Today's project is a gift tag, something I don't make very often. I'm not sure why but it tends to be right at the back of my 'what to do today' list. To remedy that, I decided to make one and maybe find out why I'm so bad at making these. I made my first mistake right away in that I stamped up some flowers, on copic friendly paper of course, without measuring how big a tag I was going to make. This I didn't even realise until after I had coloured the flowers (one of the flower stems from  Grace's Happy Heart  stamp set). Blah, right? Well, onwards and upwards! I cut out a tag using a Pretty Pink Posh stitched tag die and then stamped up another few flowers on it and coloured those in too. I went quite pink for these flowers and vibrant green for the stems and leaves. Something I've started doing quite recently, being inspired by the wonderful Kathy Racoosin, is outli

It's Time to Blossom, Stamping and Copic Markers

Hello everyone. Thank you for visiting my blogpost for Kennedy Grace Creations! To create this card, I used three Kennedy Grace Creations clear stamp sets; Splendid Rose, Time to Blosson and Grace's Little Notes. To begin, I diecut the largest of the Stacked Stitched Rectangle dies from Cryogen white, iridescent shimmer cardstock. This is my preferred cardstock for Copic Markers.  I then stamped a variety of flowers from the Time to Blossom and Grace's Little Notes stamp sets. I simply lined them along the bottom of the rectangle. I stamped them quickly and simply, next to one another, with zero masking.  I then stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink and heat embossed it using Hero Arts clear embossing powder. Then it was time for the Copic Marker coloring. I colored the flowers as follows; Orange: YR02, YR65, YR68 Dark Purple: V95, RV66, V99 Yellow: Y11, Y13, Y15 To finish off this clean and simple floral card, I added some Ku

Super Simple Bookmarks

Hey, everyone! Rachel here today with a quick and easy project using a variety of Kennedy Grace stamp sets! I have 3 cats, two of which love to steal and eat my bookmarks. I read A LOT, so this is a problem for me! I decided to the situation by sitting down and creating several bookmarks to have on hand for when they decide to strike again! I used my Bookmark die and cut out 8 separate bookmarks from white cardstock. I set four aside and then used a variety of stamp sets to stamp on my remaining four. I used my Copics to color in each image and then added my halo around each of them as well. To keep the bleeding from my Copics hidden, I took those first four bookmarks and adhered them to the backs of my colored bookmarks. It helps to make them a little more durable and it keeps any bleeding from showing - a win-win in my book! I finished them off by adding a little baker's twine. Super simple project, but it definitely solves my cat-bookmark problem. At least for now!

Less than 10 minutes card!

Hello! Erica back on the blog today, probably still suffering a post-Valentine's Day sugar rush. I'm not much for celebrating Va-Da unless it involves chocolate or cake. I'd be lying if I said I would turn down a diamond but we are not big Va-Da people here. Va-Da is short and hip for Valentine's Day, don't'cha know? No? Maybe that sugar rush is making me say cray-cray things... Right, so a card. That's what y'all are here for? Ok, then, let's get to it. It's gonna be short and sweet today (no, for real this time) as this card is super quick and simple. There is no colouring, just a quick stamping and diecutting and some adhesives and bam! Using Kraft card stock I had laying around in a very convenient size, I grabbed my stunning  Sweet Rose  stamp as well as VersaMark ink and my trusted anti-static tool. Oh and my Mini-MISTI. Placing the stamp slightly off the piece of card stock, I dusted generously with the anti-static tool before

Love

Hello there!  Cindy from In Love with Paper back on the blog with you today.  Sorry, I'm a bit late with this post today.  I got caught up in making Valentine's with my kids for their school friends.  I've used the fabulously pretty stamp set Splendid Rose on my card.  I've embossed it with silver tinsel embossing powder and then used watercolor pencils and a water brush to color the roses. I hope I've inspired you to make something fabulous today :-)  Happy [early] Valentine's Day. Thanks for visiting KGC. Cindy---

Clean and Simple Stamping and Copic Coloring with Splendid Rose

Hello cardmaking friends. Meg here, with a super quick and easy, clean and simple yet elegant, coral colores rose card. Perfect for any friend. To create this card I used the Scalloped Stacked Stitched Rectangle dies, Splendid Rose clear stamp set and Rainbow Sherbert Sequins. First, I cut the largest scalloped rectangle from Cryogen white, iridescent sparkle cardstock. This specialty cardstock had a gorgeous, subtle shimmer which is much more evident in real life versus in photographs. This is my preferred cardstock for coloring with Copic Markers. I stamped the gorgeous rose and friend sentiment, both from the Splendid Rose stamp set, using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. This hybrid ink is Copic friendly. I then quickly colored the rose using 3 different YR Copic Marker colors; YR61, YR02 and YR65.  I wanted to achieve a coral colored rose....however, it came out a little more orange than I expected. I love how it turned out, although it wasn't exactly what I

Thinking of You

Hello, everyone! Rachel here today with a quick clean and simple card created with the lovely Time to Blossom stamp set. I started my card by preparing a white card base and then stamping my image repeatedly over the base with some light gray ink. I set that aside and stamped my main image on a separate piece of white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with my copics. I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to cut it out because I'm super lazy and hate fussy cutting. I heat embossed my sentiment in white on black card stock and cut a fishtail in the end with my scissors. I positioned it behind my colored image and cut off the excess that stuck out behind it. I used foam tape to adhere my sentiment strip and image on top of the card base. I finished the whole thing by adding a sprinkling of Moonbeams sequins across the card. Time to Blossom Neenah Solar White 80 lb Black Cardstock Fog Memento Tuxedo Black Copic Sket
