New Year's Candy Containers

Hello! Rachel here today with a cute little idea for some New Year's fun! I used a milk carton die to create candy holders for the kids I'll be seeing on New Year's Eve! It's a super sweet way to give a little gift to the littles in your life. I colored my cute little images with Copics and cut them out. I used foam tape to adhere them to the sides of my milk cartons and then added my little sentiment as a speech bubble. I closed my milk cartons with some mini clothespins so they're easy for little fingers to open. I know the kids will be more excited about the candy inside the containers than the containers themselves, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to make them cute! Thanks for joining me today!

Non-Traditional Winter Greetings Holiday Card, Copics, Distress Inks

Hello friends! Meg here, with a non-traditional colored holiday card! I started this card by distress ink-blending the background. I used Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean distress inks and a Ranger ink blending tool. I added to the background some Moonstone (clear) glimmer texture paste by Nuvo - Tonic Studios. I applied it through a falling snow stencil by MFT stamps. I added two small strips of silver and black cardstock to the left side of the panel, once the texture paste dried.  Once I liked the way my background looked, I printed the adorable birdie winter digital stamp from my laser printer. I began coloring the smallest details first - the lights and Christmas ornaments. I colored these using my Copic Atyou Spica glitter pens and Kaisercraft gel pens. I then colored the cutest digi bird with my copic markers. My intent was to match the bird with the ink-blended background. I used the blue-green family for most of the bird; BG05, BG07 and BG09. Hi its Karen on the blog with you today. Well here we are a week out from Christmas.  This time next week Father Christmas will have made his visit and we will be sitting down to Christmas dinner.  Still feeling like someone stole a couple of months from me though. Today I am sharing a shaker card using several Kennedy Grace products.  The christmas tree is in the background and the presents are stacked in layers with the squirrel in front of the shaker.  I used a mixture of moonbeams and mother of pearl sequins to use as my shaker elements.  Shakers although a little time consuming are really quite fun to make. Enjoy the week before christmas Love and Laughter,

Happy Owl-idays!

Hello, everyone! Rachel here with you today! I'm loving the cute little critters that are going to be coming up in a new release and I think you're going to love them, too. I have a clean and simple creation using a new owl image for you today. I started my card by masking off a small strip on the right hand side of the card and then blending purple and pink inks into the strip to create an ombre effect. After it had dried, I used a stencil and some texture paste to create my falling snow. I carefully removed my masking paper and then let the texture paste dry. While I waited, I colored my little owl image and used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to cut him out. (Have I mentioned lately how much I hate fussy cutting?) When I was sure the card was dry, I used my MISTI to line up my sentiment and stamped it in a bold, black ink. I used some foam tape to adhere my little own beside my sentiment and my card was done! Thanks for joining me today! Hand Lette

Hi everyone! It's not long until Christmas now, who else is excited?? As much as I am looking forward to the holidays, I'm a bit Christmas-card-outed... I've been making them for months now and as the rebel that I am, I am sharing a flowery friendship card today instead of a Christmassy one. It's not even red, that's how much of a rebel I am! Ooooh, hold your horses, right?! Clearly I have lost one too many marbles... Surely it's no surprise that I am a huge fan of flowers by now? This  Beautiful Bloom-Sweet Rose  stamp set I've loved since the first time I saw it and watercolouring it is one of my favorite ways to bring it to life. Using an anti-static tool generously all over the card stock, I then stamped the image with VersaMark ink and sprinkled white embossing powder all over. Tap off the excess before setting it with a heat gun and you are good to go! Using my Zig Markers and a Prima Marketing water colour brush (the kind that is filled with

Oh joy!

Hello there!  Cindy from In Love with Paper back with you today.  I've got a simple little card to share today.  It went together very easily.  And it's kinda fun and funky.  I just stamped the deer in red and the snowflakes in black.  Then, I added some Kennedy Grace Creations - Blackbird sequins mix for bling.  And I finished it off with a fun sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a fabulous day!! Woodland Tags

Hello, everyone! Rachel here again with some Christmas tags featuring a soon to be released set of wintery woodland animals! I created all three tags using the same steps. I cut the tag using a die and then stamped my snowflake images on it using Versamark ink and then heat embossed in white. I took two colors of ink for each tag to create an ombre sky and used a blending tool to apply a nice, even coat. When the tag was finished, I printed out my little critters (they're currently digis) and then colored them in with my Copics. I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to cut them out because I'm seriously lazy and hate fussy cutting! I cut small strips of snowy backgrounds using some Neenah Solar White and a couple of background dies. I adhered my backgrounds using some double sided tape and then added my critters using some foam tape for dimension. I finished them off by adding some coordinating baker's twine through the holes. Here's a close-up of the cute li

Counting Down!

Hi its Karen on the blog with you today. I think I may be in denial about Christmas.  It just seems to be sneaking up very very fast.  I know I have loads to do and really need to get going. Hopefully posting this Christmas Ornament may just help. This super cute little image from Kennedy Grace Creations is such a joy to colour and even though he's a christmas critter I think he could be used all year round on projects.  I used a die cut from Frantic Stamper Inc to cut the ornament in very sparkly paper.  Then popped the image up on foam.  Added some silver twine and there you have a super cute and easy ornament to adorn the tree or a special gift tag.  I think these would look lovely against shiny white wrapping paper. I know it looks huge in the photo but its approximately 2.5 x 2.5 inches in size. Have a great day! Karen xo Love and Laughter,
