Always Believe!

Hi!
Remember me?? I can not believe it's been 2 months since I last posted! I had intended to take some time off over the holidays to recharge and spend time with my family. After being away from my craft table for a month I completely lost my mojo and felt like I forgot to color with my beloved copics...yikes!
Anywho, after a couple of weeks of struggling I gave my version of CAS a try and it's finally coming back to me!
Enough about about me and on to my card!

I have been loving the Reverse Confetti stamps for a while now and was finally able to purchase a few sets last month.
Yesterday I saw their February Sketch For You To Try and was inspired to play along!

SFYTT9_Feb14

Here is my take on the sketch -
I fell in love with crane image and sentiments from the Paper Crane stamp set. The stamped on patter paper and fussy cut out. I added just a touch of shading to the crane with copics W0.

The sentiment is also from Paper Crane and is stamped on pattern paper that I cut out using a die from Love Note.
The pattern papers are from teresa collins Now & Then paper pack.
I finished off the card with twine from Hemptique and a button from my stash.

Before I go I would like to share a couple of pictures with you. These two sweeties have been keeping me very busy!

Abbi will be 12 in a couple of months! This is her last year to be a tween and I am sure not ready for her to be a teenager! She is no longer my little girl :(
My Grandson Myles is 9 month old now and so much fun! They grow up so fast so I am trying to spend as much time as I can with them ;)

Here is a picture of him from Christmas checking out his new car buggy.

Thank you letting me share a bit of my family with you!

Hi!

Today in the U.S we are celebrating Thanksgiving day and I have much to be thankful for! Not only am I thankful for my family and friends but I am thankful for all of you who take the time to visit my blog. I am truly blessed by each and everyone of you!!

I am not sharing a Thanksgiving card today but one that can be encouraging for most anyone.
Stamps: Gina k - Oh Boy!, MFT - Good Knight
Paper: SU, Gina K, Cosmo Cricket, Misc

The background was created by brayering ink on white PL paper. I brayered in from the top and opposite bottom corners of the cardstock. The first color I layed down was Mementos Cantaloupe, next was London Fog and then Paris Dusk. To finish off the sky, I sponged black ink all the way around the edges.

The rocket is from Gina K's Oh Boy! stamp set and I paper pieced it with Cosmo Cricket's Joyride. The stars are also from the set and are stamped on misc. paper and punched out with a marvy star punch. The smaller stars are punched out with a handheld star punch.
The sentiment is from a My Favorite Stamps set called Good Knight.
I am going to submit this card for the CPS 194 challenge.
Happy Thanksgiving!! May your day be filled with many blessings!!!

Tickled pink!

Happy Monday crafters!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was busy but fun! Saturday, I went to the Rubber Stamping and Scrapbooking show in Madison with a few friends. We had a great time! I was a bit disappointed because there was not as many vendors as there has been in the past but I did find a few new goodies! One good thing about less vendors is I did not spend as much money as I have the previous years!

As many of you know I love my Magnolia stamps and when I saw that Diana from Magnolia-Licious created a challenge blog I knew it was time to give these cuties some attention! Their first challenge is to use the colors pink and yellow and you can read all about it here.
Stamps: Magnolia
Papers: Gina K, Basic Grey, Copic X-press It
Ink: Memento, Copics
Other: Ribbon, Lace, Prima's, Paper Roses,
Spellbinders - Labels 13, Paper Doily
I used the Tilda with Pig stamp which I could not find in the Magnolia-licious store right now but I am sure Diana will have it back in stock real soon. I colored this sweetie with copics, R00, R01, R02, R11, R20, R21, R30, R32/ Y17, Y21, Y23, Y32, Y35/E000, E00, E27, E31, E41/W1.
The papers are Gina K and the patter papers are Basic Grey's Porcelain.
I tucked a paper doily behind Tilda and tucked the sentiment beside that which I cut out using Labels 13.

I finished off the card with paper roses, primas, and lace.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and I hope you stop back soon!!

Hi!

Did you all have a nice Monday? Mine has been uneventful, which is good! lol!

How about some cupcakes tonight?
I entered this card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. You can read about the challenge here. The adorable lil' girl is from the Pure Innocence line and this one is from the Tea Party stamp set. I thought it would fun to have this lil' cutie sitting under an awning eating her cupcakes. The awning is made using the Jumbo Scalloped Die-namic die.
Stamps: MFT - Tea Party
Ink: Copics, Memento
Paper: SU, Copic X-press It, DCWV
Other: Die-namics, Ribbon, Glitter, Spellbinders
Here is a different view of the card so you can see the awning and how I popped up the table and cupcakes.

I also added glitter to her crown and used my clear glaze pen to add some shine to her shoes and gloves.
I gave her a pearl necklace and earring using some very small white pearls that I got as a gift.
Here is another view of this glammed up gal.

Since this tag is fairly big, I decided I would use it not only for a tag on a gift but could also use it for the card as well so I finished off the back.

Gina K Fall Memory Challenge

Good Morning Stampers!

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made for Gina K's Fall Memory Challenge. You can read all about here in Gina's blog.

I have two fall memories that I will always cherish. The first one is my wedding. Marty and I were married in September. It was a beautifully warm fall day...just perfect for a wedding!

My card for this memory uses the colors from our wedding. Our colors were black and white. I carried a big bouquet of red roses as did my bridesmaids.

Card Supplies: Stamps: Friendship's Garden, Hand in Hand

I used the rose from Friendship's Garden and colored it with copics R22, R24, R27, R29, YG07, YG17, YG67, C0 and C1. The sentiment is from Hand in Hand.
The embossing was done with the Vintage Wall Paper embossing folder.

My other fall memory is taking my girls to the pumpkin patch. Now that Ashley is older she doesn't always go with us but Marty and I still take Abbi every year.
There is a farm in the country a few miles from our house that we always go to where you can wander the fields to find the perfect pumpkin. There is also some animals there that the kids could see and even pet a few.

I chose to use the scarecrow and cornstalks from Autumn Beauty because this farm always decorated using cornstalks with pumpkins and course a scarecrow. The pumpkins are from Signs of Autumn. Thank you for stopping by and letting me share my fall memories with you!

Not a traditional anniversary.

Hi Stampers!!

I am on a roll! I have another challenge card to share that I made for this weeks Card Patterns Sketch # 81. I have wanted to join in on their challenges for some time now...I thought it was about time I did so here is the card I made for the challenge.

Card Supplies: Stamps: Lovely Labels
Ink: SU, Memento
Paper: Gina K, Basic Grey
Other: Ribbon, Primas, Pearls

I used Gina K's Lovely Labels stamp set. I love this set and how it works perfectly with the different Spellbinder's labels. For this one I used Labels 9. The sentiment is also from the Lovely Labels set.
The papers are Gina K's White and Chocolate Brown Pure Luxury papers and the pattern papers are scraps from Basic Grey's Max and Whiskers and Fruitcake.  A ribbon bow, primas and pearls finish off the card.

So what do you think of the card for anniversary? I know it's not like the more traditional anniversary cards, but I really like it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back again soon!
