Reaching for the Stars

Happy Friday!
Today I am sharing a card that I am giving to Abbi for her last day of grade school.
If you subscribe to the Through The Craftroom Door magazine, you may recognize this card. It was published in the magazine last fall.
This is a digital image from Mayzy Art which I colored with copics - B34, 37/Y0000, 11, 19, 21, 23/R20, 11/E000, 00, 02/E40, 41, 42, 43, 44/E70, 71, 74, 77, 79/T5, 6/C8.  I added a bit more shading to the owl with prisma pencils and OMS.  When I am having trouble getting the shading I want using Copics, I will get out my pencils and OMS. Just make sure you use the pencils on top of the Copics. If you use the Copics on top of the pencils, you can ruin the nibs on your markers.
I added Crystal Lacquer to the glasses . The image is cut out using SB Rectangle and Labels 23. The sentiment is sitting on stars cut out with SB Star dies.
The pattern papers are Basic Greys Oxford.
The sentiment is from Whimsy Adventure Mini Postage Stamp set.

I am off and running! I have a busy day today - work this morning, Abbi's end of year picnic, Orchestra practice and whatever else hubster's has planned for us this evening!
Enjoy your day!

Sending lot of love

Hello!
A few weeks ago, I came across the Saturated Canary blog and when I saw these images drawn by Krista, I could not resist picking up a few ;)

This girly girl is called Nevaeh. She is colored with copics - E000, E00, E15, E17, E18, E40, E41/R01, R02/B12, G0000, G000, G00. I tried out a new hair color combination. I usually do not red for hair but I rather like this one. It E15, E17, and E18.
The sentiment is from Whimsy's Retro Bottlecap Sentiments and I cut it out with the matching die.
The pattern papers are MME - Miss Carolina...love this line!
I finished off the card with some lace and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Thank you for checking in with me today!

Recipe using critters

Hiya!!
It's that time of the week for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge! This week we have a recipe challenge. The recipe is to use 2 critters, Swirls and texture on your project.

This is my DT sample -
This little cutie is Mouse with Sunflower by Stampavie. The lightest coloring was done with copics and the shading was done with Prisma Pencils/OMS. I covered the sunflower, leaves and butterflies with stickles. The stem has a thick coat of crystal lacquer on it as do the bumble bees.
The swirls are from my Fanciful Flourish Cheery Lynn die. I got mine at a LSS but I am seeing them on-line now too.
The flower is My Favorite Things Rolled Daisy which is cut out of felt.
The texture is Cuttlebugs Swiss Dots and Sizzix Petals a Plenty embossing Folders.
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Adventure Mini Postage stamps and was cut out using Spellbinders Labels 23. They fit perfect in there, don't they?

We would love for you to play along with us for our recipe challenge this week!

Enjoy your day!!

Make a Wish

Hiya!!
It's Friday!! Woot Woot!!
Even though it's a busy one I am very happy it is here!!
This cutie is an image by CC Designs.
I used copics for coloring and added some glitter to her hair bows, clips and the frosting on the cupcake.
The make a wish ticket is from the Whimsy stamp set called Ticket Sentiments.
The only embellishment I used was the twine.
I ran the pattern paper through my cuttlebug using the dots embossing folder to give it a bit of texture.

I have decided I need to buy a new camera. My DH has played around with the settings, dropped it a few times and I just can not get a decent picture no matter what I try or do...argh! I would love to hear what kind of camera you use or recommend using.

Thank you for visiting me and enjoy the rest of your Friday!

King sized present

Hi!

I've only been back to work for one day after a 4 days off and I am more than ready for the weekend!! Anyone else feel that way?
I seem to be stuck in a birthday card rut as that is what I have been making the most of lately.

The image is a digi stamp called Big Pressie Tia by Some Odd Girl. I colored her with copics R02, R05, R08, R11, R20, YR15, YR16, YR23, G12, G40, Y23, E000, E00, E35, BG10, BG11, and C00.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and is called Treasured Moment Tickets. I love this stamp set!

The pattern papers are MME - Lime Twist Fly a Kite. My card layout is not what I was going for. I had already cut the papers then realized that my image panel was bigger than I had planned and I wasn't about to waste my precious MME papers so I used the cut papers and this is what I ended up with. I am not sure how I feel about it though. It's a bit different isn't it?

I am submitting this card to the Some Odd Girl - Bright and Blinding challenge. I know it's not blinding bright but I did you use some bright colors so hopefully my card won't be tossed out ;o)

Stop back tomorrow as I have another birthday creation to share with you but it's not a card!

Thank you to all my followers! I really appreciate you visiting me! Enjoy the rest of your days!!
Sharri

Cherished Moments

Happy Monday my friends!

I am going to keep my post short and sweet today as I am getting ready to head out the door for work.
I have heard that several people love the cryogen paper for copics. When I was at my lss store a couple of weeks ago I saw that they sold the cryogen papers so I picked up some up to see how it compared to the Copic X-press It blending paper that I love.
I do like the sparkle of the paper but have to say that I like the Copic X-press It better. I colored this little cutie on the cryogen.
This is stamp is called Me and My Cat by Lily of the Valley. The copics I used are RV32, RV34, RV63, RV66, RV0000/YG11, YG13, YG21, YG23/B91, B93, B95/E00, E000/E34, E35, E37, E41, E42/C0, C1, C3, C7, C9/W00, W0, W1.
The papers are MME Lime Twist - Happy Go Lucky. I used my Grand Scalloped Squares for the card base.
The sentiment is Whimsy Stamps Treasured Moments Tickets.

Thank you so much for visiting me and enjoy the rest of your day!
