Welcome Baby--Just Inklined

This little line up of baby items, called Baby Line,  from Just Inklined is just perfect for a baby card:

I used all the traditional baby colors so it would be  non gender specific and could be used for any new baby coming up in the future.  I don't know of any right now, but still wanted to make a card using this adorable clothes line of cute baby items.
The images were colored with copic markers, no surprise there, and sponged with distressed ink. The rickrack at the bottom is from My Favorite Things and the Flower was cut with my cricut. Wow. how could I create without my toys LOL..  I could it just woudn't be as much fun :)
I thought the tiny clothes pins added the perfect touch and my little welcome baby card is finished.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Paper Ribbon!!!

Leave it to my good friend Judy to really challenge us for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week, you should have heard the questions flying in the DT email group this week LOL.  Paper ribbon?  I really had fun making this darling baby card with Sassy Cheryl's wonderful baby tower Baby Girl Gift image:

I cut a  paper bow with my cricut using my wedding cartridge and then I used some strips of coordinating paper to make streamers or paper for celebration streamers for this joyful card.
Isn't this just the funniest group of babies piled high to celebrate a new beginning of joyful days.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations, after all the questions, I know they will have figured out some spectacular creations for you, they are an amazing bunch.  Be sure to also check out the new Digi Store for new images this week.

Baby Gift Card--Sassy Cheryl's Challenge !!!

All right, the wonderful hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is Kim, and haven't her challenges been wonderful?  The Challenge is to make a baby gift card holder.  Here is mine using Little Birdie Discussion:

Can't you just see all these chatty birds telling the whole world about the New Baby in the neighborhood.  I love to create little gift card holders using the metal gift boxes at Michaels. I usually cover the top and sides of top and it is perfect.
The image was colored with Copic markers and airbrushed with blue and green. The corners were ruonded with the SU corner rounder punch and mounted on a polka dot pastel layer also with rounded corners.
A band of black and white polka dot ribbon around the edge and a bow with pink button in the upper right corner and another band at the bottom with a pink button as well.
A Welcome Baby sentiment and my little gift box is ready for a new arrival.

Here are two other pictures to show the gift box better:

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations and the new images Sassy Cheryl's Store. They are adorable, as always!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Retro

Good Morning, Are you ready for another awesome  Mo's Digital Pencil challenge theme by the super talent, Elaine?  Elaine has chosen the theme Retro, 30's, 40's, 50's.....  I am not sure which one I chose but I would imagine 50's:

Isn't this just an adorable little baby, almost looks like a porcelain doll.  I really wanted to keep the soft pastel colors for the baby image and tried not to over power the image with the dp.  I chose some retro looking lace, polka dot and newsprint dp from K & Company.  The image is colored with copic markers and sponged the edges with distress ink.
The baby carriage was cut with my cricut. and the Sentiment was hand written on a Vintage Label punched from the dp.  The butterfly was cut from the dp as well and the butterfly body was covered with tiny pearls.  A band of lace topped with tiny pearls finish this dainty baby girl card using the beautiful Baby Girl with Wispy Hair.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog to the wonderful creations by the rest of the Design Team.  Be sure to check out the new really wonderful images by Mo. She has been busy.

KLM Designs Sneak Peak and new release cards

KLM Digital Designs is releasing 3 new designs on August 1 and this darling little baby in a swing is one of them. Isn't she just the cutest?

The images are digital images so they can be sized to fit your card or scrapbook page, there are endless possibilities.

This little cutie was colored with copic markers and sponged around the edges with Tim Holtz broken china distress ink. The dp seemed to match the color scheme I used to color the baby and I used the MS border punch for the edge. The tag was created just be cutting two strips of cs and the ends of the white piece were trimmed using the corner rounder punch. The red ends were punched with the same MS border punch used for the patterned dp edge.

The checked prima flower and blue button finished the card.

My second card is using a new sketch designs called Mother and Child that was added yesterday. I absolutely love this sketch and had to stop everything I was doing tonight and create this card. Hope you like it as much as I do.

I wanted this to look like a framed portrait in sepia tones. The coloring is copic marker and the sponging is Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink and Weathered wood distress ink.

The embellishments were kept simple so that the picture was the focal point, a picture mount in the upper right hand corner and in the lower left bottom a simple sentiment "cherish" covered with a Tim Holtz fragment tag. I love the way the clear tags accentuate the sentiment without adding another colored layer to the card.

I think I am going to send this card to my daughter and her husband who are expecting a little girl any day now.

This image and several more new images are available right now on KLM Digital Designs website so go check them out and while you are at it check out the other awesomely talented Design Team members blogs for sneak peaks of the new releases.

See you tomorrow with more cards.
