Yankee Doodle Fantastic News!!!
Isn't this a cute little scene, even if I do say so myself? You have got to love the expression on the horse and do real men ride in the desert with an english saddle? LOL The mountain and trees is a stamp from the Happy Camper set illustrated by my very good friend Theresa Momber who designs for Gina K Designs. I thought it was just perfect for my little scene. Thanks GF!!!
I used a post it note to make my cloud mask and sponged the sky around.
I just wanted to show you my fun lttle project. Hope you enjoyed it.
I have a little Mo's Digital Fairy for you tomorrow.

Happy Camper Scene 2 Altered Notebook cover

As you can see I haven't actually gotten the notebook yet but I have used my SU spiral punch and even if I use it for a composition book or scrapbook it will be a nice decorative touch.
I wanted to created a mountain camping scene with the rascally racoon fishing in the nearby stream. I really like the way that it turned out. The mountains and trees were stamped with Momento London Fog because I wanted a subtle line to appear as a distant image. I used my copic airbrush for almost everything except the tent and the racoon. The tent and racoon are cut out and popped up on foam picture mounting tape.
This would be a perfect camping journal or scrapbook cover for those of you who are campers.
It took me longer to photograph this picture than it did to create it. I had to darken the sky 3 times before you could even see it and the airbrushing tends to give off unwanted highlights with a flash.
Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I have a summer project for Artistic Outpost be sure to stop back, love to see you.
Have a good rest of the day, I have to get ready to go to work.
Bye for now,
Cathy

Welcome to the Oh, Say can you See Blog Hop!
Grab your cup of coffee, glass of tea or bottle of water and relax by viewing the last half of the blog hop. If you are at my blog you are less than half way through the 93 blogs that have joined in this wonderful Holiday treat of Red, White, and Blue!
If you came from Tenia's blog you are on the right track! If you didn't you may want to hop to go back to the first blog on the hop which is: here and start at the beginning.
My first card is created using GinaK Designs StampTV kit flower barrel stamp:
The paper is a digital download from StampTV freebie's.
Colored with copic markers, which is my weapon of choice usually. There is also a Patriotic Boy with a watermelon and a Patriotic Dog that will be featured on my Artful Sentiments Copic Challenge this week.
I have many styles that I love so being a Guest DT member for Artistic Outpost is so much fun for me. I love vintage, maybe because I remember it all too well :)

The 4th of July collage was created using Artistic Outpost stamp plates Hero and She-roes. I printed a music score of the Star Spangled Banner off the internet(it was free) and used that as the base for my collage. I just love the American flags on the lower right corner from the Hero stamp plate.
My final project is from Theresa Momber's newest stamp set available at GinaK Designs and is called Happy Camper. It isn't Red,White, and Blue but it to me is the epitomy of America the Beautiful. "From the Mountains"... God Bless America...My Home Sweet Home!

Next on the hop is Sheri Willshire be sure to stop by visit. Thanks for stopping by and have a safe and happy 4th of July!!!

America the Beautiful

I stamped the mountain scene stamp side by side. After finishing the project I wish that I had not lined them up quite so well, so just pretend that the mountains on the right are closer than they appear :)
I wanted this to look like a framed portrait by placing the sentiment where I did at the bottom like a plaque on a portrait frams.
I colored with copic markers and used a post-it-note mask to create the clouds using my Tim Holtz distress ink and foam applicator pads. These are the products that I almost always use to sponge around my image and edges but when doing clouds I only use the narrow end of the pad.
After creating this project with Theresa's wonderful set I will be singing America the Beautiful at work all night :)
I can't wait to play with my other GinaK stamp sets. I have to work tomorrow during the day, and then I will watch the Firewords from my front yard. There is a golf course that puts on one of the best Fireworks Displays in Omaha that is only about a half mile from my house. At 10:00 I will be sitting in my front yard watching their wonderful display and never have to leave home. Works for me!!!
Be sure to take time this week-end to check out the Forth of July blog hop sponsored by Scrapbook News and Review which starts at 9:00 AM tomorrow. You can start here:
