Sassy Cheryl's Challenge-Think Pink

The Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week is Think Pink.  Should be easy,..You would think so wouldn't you HUH.....Well, here is what I came up with:

This darling sassy gal is called, I Love you This Much.  Isn't she just adorable

I colored the image with copic markers and airbrushed the clouds and ground.  The cs is Tim Holtz and French Country DCWV paper pack I bought half price this week.

I added a few buttons a large pink rose and white bow topping a white doile and a green dragon fly to my Just Because I love this image card.

Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for your inspiration.  Sassy Cheryl has been busy creating new and absolutely darling creations so stop by the store and do some shopping.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Just Inklined Rose Bookmark

I wanted to make a little something special for my sister's birthday.  Peg is a librarian so I thought it would be fun to make her a fun bookmark I have been seeing so many of lately and thought the pretty Rose from Just Inklined would be perfect for this project.  What do you think?

I know you may have never seen a blue rose but blue is Peg's favorite color so had to color it blue,..The Rose was colored with copic markers and then cut out...yep every single itty bitty leaf and stem. except the very center which I was able to color in with a copic to match the cs. So don't look too close LOL.
The book mark template or tutorial was from the Splitcoast Stampers website and so easy to follow, the project only took about 10 minutes after I colored and cut out the flower.  I know I am going to be making a lot more of these. To give you an idea of the size the base card stock piece began as a 4X4 inch piece.

I added a strip of lace and a narrow ribbon and bow which I glued on to insure it would not fall off.  A band of pearls which I also glued on and then I stamped a cracked paint background stamp to go under the rose.  I love the vintage look it gives or just to add some detail without getting too busy.  Because it is a book mark I didn't want to add flowers or anything that would get too thick since it would be on the inside of a book, hopefully she will use it LOL.

Thanks for stopping by, and for those of my friends and followers who are on the east coast of the US please stay safe as Hurricane Irene bears down on you, and to everyone else, have a great week-end.

A Beautiful Rose--Just InkLined

I know you have been seeing so many cute people, snowmen, bears and just cute stuff for quite awhile but did you know one of my favorite things to color are flowers?!?  Just InkLined has some really beautiful flowers and I purchased two last week.  Here is my Rose card,  I really like the way it turned out:

Don't you think this is a gorgeous Rose?  It was so much fun to color with my copic markers and I overstamped it with my cracked paint stamp and sponged with Bravo Burgundy SU ink.

The dp is Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper pack which I loved with the rose because of the different lines and textures giving that wonderful Vintage illusion.

Sorry, for the short post, it was a typical day off, everyone thought of things that I needed to do to help them and there wasn't as much me time as selfish me wanted, but I still have tomorrow and most of Sunday....we'll see what else the family can think of for me to do LOL!!!

Be sure you check out Just Inklined newest images and try them out.    Catch you all tomorrow :)
