Hey there Chickadee!

One of the new June 8 release images from KLMDigital Designs was a chickadee. I have grown to really like bird images on cards so here is my chickadee:

This picture doesn't show the pullin pastels background paper that I used for the main card dp. I used blue green and yellow chalks on black cs to create the background paper. IRL it really pulls the navy blue highlights from the chickadee's black colors.

Here is a close up of the background:

The colors in the top photo are the true colors but I had to lighten the photo considerably to show the bg, hopefully you can imagine what it looks like :).

You could make the scalloped punch another more masculine punch and leave off the pearls as well for a masculine card very easily.

Release Day is here!!! KLM Digital Designs

Today is Release Day for KLM Digital Designs new images and they are so adoreable. I have really loved coloring them and you need to check them out. Check out these two cards I made for the final preview day:

Who wouldn't love to get a card with this darling Daisy the Dinosaur on it. I added two prima flowers and some coordinating buttons. The border punch is Martha Stewart and the adorable stamp in SU.

These Tulip Vase flowers are so wonderfully drawn by Sue, Artist extroidinare, for KLM Designs. I colored them with copic markers and mounted on coordinating cs. The swirly green is K and Company Ancentry.com paper mat pack and the flower dp is SU.

I used a Tim Holtz fragment tag and stamped my sentiment on vellum and glued it to the backside of the fragment. That way the image is still translucent but the sentiment won't rub off.
