Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Lavendar, White and Green

Good Morning and welcome to the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. The wonderfully talented Judy is the hostess this week and her challenge for us this week is to use Lavender, white and green.  Sounds like fun, huh.  Here is what I created using Cheer Up:

This little pouty cutie was colored with copic markers , cut out with a spellbinder die, and airbrushed with green while still in the die.  I mounted it on mounting foam squares to give it a little dimension on the purple and green dp.  The dp was from a K & Company paper matte pack. I am always short on purple dp, as it is not my favorite color :). I punched a coordinating border punch for the right side to add a fancy touch for the bow to divide the green cs and main purple dp base color.

I tried a new hair color today, what do you think.  I think I get in a rut with red and blonde.....

A trio of green brads and a medium green button and my Lavender, white and green card is complete.  This is a super easy challenge so be sure to grab a Sassy image and play along.  There is always a drawing for a 5.00 gift certificate and Sassy Cheryl always has new images for you to see and I am sure she will have a new one for us this week too.

Sassy Cheryl's is also running a Labor Day Sale with  20% off  all images, so be sure to grab all the images you have had on your wish list now!!!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has to show you I know it will be spectacular!!1

Shaving Cream Technique on StampTV

Hi everyone. This week GinaK, of GinaK Designs Stamp TV, showcased the shaving cream technique. Since I started stamping a couple of years ago I have always wanted to try this technique but I never found instructions or I was too lazy to look too hard, I prefer the first scenario. Gina's video explained everything perfectly. The part I couldn't figure out on my own was what you did with the shave cream after you got it on the cardstock. The solution is easy peasy. Gina used a Pampered Chef scraper which I didn't have but I did have a shower squeegie scraper.

I wanted to make a blue and brown shaving cream technique card because I wanted to use it to make the challenge card for Theresa's Color Challenge which was to use Chocolate Kiss cardstock and any other color. I thought blue would be nice. I like blue and chocolate almost as much as chocolate and pink. I used Bayou Blue and Close to Cocoa SU reinkers for my colors.

I colored the Iris from the Elegant Flowers that came with my Floral Frenzy StampTV package in turquoise to try to match the ink colors I had used for the shave cream.

I had the brown stitched ribbon but the stitching was white so I colored the white stitching with my copic markers.

Be sure to check-out Gina's video and you can make a card like this too.

Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow!

Artful Sentiments Copic Challenge # 6

The colors for this week's Copic Challenge at Artful Sentiments are YG11, R20, and B21. I used R20 for the coral base color, the B21 was airbrushed on as the water, and the closest I had to YG11 was YG13 which I used as the base for the water grass.

The stamp is underwater from Dog Gone Stamps. I colored with copics, duh, that's the challenge !!! I decided to put the sentiment tag on but not add a sentiment yet as I am not sure what occassion I will use this card for.

The dew drops give the appeaerance of air bubbles. Please play along with the challenges. You will have fun, so come play with us!

I'll be back with more tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.

Copic Challenge Week7

A few weeks ago I applied for the Inky Impressions DT. For those of us that didn't get chosen for the next round we were offered this darling digital image to download.

I decided to color this image for the Copic Challenge for week 7 which was to use the:

R22, E47, and B12.

I had R22 and B12 but substituted #43 for the brown. I colored this with copic markers (duh, I know Copic Challenge) and mounted the main image on a piece of coral cs that I used my corner rounder punch to scallop the right edge. I then mounted that piece on green polka dot, that on white and finally my last main image matt is black. The base designer paper is from the Chloe paper pack from Michaels.

I tied a piece of pink gingham check ribbon to the main panel inside the scalloped edge and used my white gel pen to add dots to the scallop edge.

Off to work on some more projects that I have going today. Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to having you stop by again.

Have a great day!
