Maybe I got a little a little bright?

Maybe I got a little bright on this picture. I didn't have any patterned paper to match the orange and purple so I decided to use my Fiskars border punch to create a pattern. The snowman is covered with the Sukura Stardust Glitter pen as is the snow and footprints under the girl and snowman. The glitter picked up the red from the nose and mouth and makes it look like the snowman has chapped lips , but it looks only silver IRL.

It is a little harder to punch the border so that you have an even border, I need to practice that some more but I like the effect. I hid the corners that didn't come out close enough with my new Sateen flowers I got in my order today from GinaK Designs, Yep her store has it all!
The Sateen flowers are really neat, they have a sheen and you can color them with your copic markers and the sheen comes through the coloring. It doesn't show up very good in the picture as the glitter on the snowman and the flower petals kind of messed up the true color of the snowman as it picked up some red that isn't actually there. I may try to take another picture in the daylight. Yeah, I know some people take pictures in the daytime but I usually only have time for making cards and taking pictures late at night.
I am sure that you will be seeing a few more cards made with this darling set in the next few days.
GinaK Designs has wonderful service. I was looking on her store site Monday night late and noticed that she had the Momento Tuxedo Black full size ink pads in stock. I have tried for a month to order them and they are always sold out so I hurried up and started an order. I got 2 Momento black ink pads, 2 packages of the darling Sateen flowers, and 2 Sukura Stardust Glitter pens. My order was about 18 dollars and GinaK Designs has free shipping with a 35 dollar order so I just had to get the Cozy and Warm Christmas stamps that I had been wanting since the Release Party previews at the beginning of the month. I placed my order late Monday night and they were in my mailbox today.
I am going to quit rambling now and go clean up my stamp room. Thanks for looking and have a great night.

Isn't this the cutest little winter boy?

Isn't he just darling! I have wanted this set called Warm and Cozy Christmas from GinaK Designs since the Design Team started showing pre release previews. Only problem with that was that there were 4 other sets that I felt the same way about and didn't have the money for all so this set had to wait until TODAY!
I colored the little boy's snow suit with copic markers and added a tiny band of glitter pen under his feet and sled runners. I mounted him on Taken with Teal from Stampin Up cardstock and mounted that pieceon a piece of dp with tiny snowflakes. I have been waiting to use this beautiful striped piece of DP until I had the right image and this was it.
I had died the twill tape a while back using SU Taken with Teal reinker. I cut the Merry Christmas words apart so that I could mount them on an acrylic block one above the other.
I finished off the card with 3 antique gold star eyelets that I had bought in the WalMart sewing section and used my Cropadile to fasten them to the card.
I am off to finish the card of the little girl from this set. See you in a bit. Thanks for looking.

Old World Santa with Poinsettias

I just want you to know that the real Cathy is back. I had fun creating the last two cards but they were not really my true style although they were fun. Here is a new card more in MY style.

I bought this stamp last Christmas season at Hobby Lobby and couldn't wait to bring it out to color with my copic markers this year. I think it turned out pretty cool. I wanted to use the neutral tones on the mat paper and the background paper but wanted to add the Poinsettias to make the red in Santa's robe pop. I think I succeeded.
The poinsettias are from the Christmas Blessings set by Asela Hopkins sold at GinaK Designs. The Believe stamp is from Botanical Dreams also from GinaK Designs.
I tend to use the Believe saying with Santa Cards because I Believe in the Spirit of Christmas.
I hope you like this card as much as I do. I will probably be back later with more cards to upload.
Happy coloring.

Funky Airbrushed Card

It's official I am a messer. I colored the deer, from the Christmas Blessings set from GinaK, and tonight I was playing with my Copic Airbrush system and airbrushed the background lightly with the same blue shadow copic marker. The photo does not really look as good as it does in real life but my daughter liked it and she always says what she means.

I mounted the top note panel on a piece of Stampin Up designer paper that I think may be retired called Polka Dots and Paisleys. I added a poinsettia that I colored the same blue shadow and mounted it on a piece of foam mounting tape to add some dimension.

I added 3 half pearls to the poisettia and 3 half pearls to the lower left corner a piece of organdy ribbon under the Top Note panel.

It is kind of a funky card and not my style but it was fun. I will be back to my normal coloring but thought it would showcase the Copic Airbrush use a little. That's my excuse and I am sticking with it.

I have a bunch of Christmas Cards that I have to get done so I will be back to serious cards now so please keep checking back to see what I am coloring next.

You never outgrown your need to color.

Goodnight again.

New Copic Marker Colors, Gotta Play!

I got some new Copic Markers last week and had to try them out. I was really in need of some pale colors to start as the base to be able to shade with more variance. Here is a card I made last night:

Don't you just love this turquoise minty color. I trimmed the sleigh with the copic color putty and it looks like of like antique gold. The snowflake is colored with the soft blue shadow color as well and accented with the putty marker.

I used my Top Note Die Cut from Stampin Up which I sponged with SU Baja Breeze and SU River Rock. The card base is SU soft sky which I also sponged with Baja Breeze and River Rock Ink. I layered the ribbon behind the Top Note panel and tied my traditional( basically the only knot that I have continued success with) ribbon accent. I added 3 blue dew drops to the lower left hand corner and one in the center of the snowflake.

Maybe not your traditional Christmas colors so we will call it a Winter Card, works for me!

I have been experimenting with my airbrush system tonight now that I have a big enough air can that I am not afraid that I will use it all up on one card.

I actually will be back later with another post but wanted to get this downloaded from my camera. See you later.!

Cathy

I sewed on a card for the first time!

Just a quick post to load this picture. I have loaded it on Splitcoast Stampers Gallery but they have been taking forever to approve a picture upload so I decided to go ahead and add it here while I was still not tired.

Isn'st this little snowman just the cutest with his birdie friends and falling snow. This is another stamp my sister brought for us (me) to play with over the week-end and I got to keep it. She didn't let me keep the angel. Oh, well I know where it lives. I think she did that so that I would have to make the trip to her house soon.

I colored the image with Copic Markers and then I wanted to try sewing on a card. I have 3 sewing machines and have sewn all my life so why have I waited so long to sew on my cards? First I sewed the Snowman Scalloped Square image, that I had cut with my Spellbinder Nestibility die cuts using my Cuttlebug, to my Green scalloped square. Not sure that I like the white stitching on the green but it may grow on me. Then I stitched the green to the Red Riding Hood SU card stock. Next I stitched the Red layer to the holly designer paper which I had bought at Michaels after Christmas last year. Finally I stitched all of the layers to my final Red Riding Hood layer leaving enough on the right side to add my plaid ribbon.

I am planning to make a bunch of 3X3 gift cards using this stamp and I will show them to you when I get them done.

I suppose that I should go pick up my stamp room so that I can go to bed sometime tonight. I have to go to work to make money for more stamps and paper and embellishments, and ribbon and ink and..........

Goodnight :)

My Sister came to visit bearing Stamping Gifts!

What a great week-end. My sister and I only live 2 1/2 hours away from each other but do you think that we can find a week-end that we neither one have something we have to do so that we can get together-- No!. That drought ended this week-end with my sister coming down on Saturday for the whole week-end Yipee . Oh, by the way her name is Peg, thus my card title here: Peg's Darling Angel

Isn't this the cutest angel image you have ever seen. I couldn't wait to ink it up and color it with my Copic markers. I swear I gave her a hug and fed her before I started stamping :). I wanted her to look like an angel, soft and sweet. I think I succeeded.

You can see that I am still addicted to the Top Note cards and I like it with the new border punch from Fiskars that I got a Target. I have had the little angel heart charm for awhile and thought it would add just a little something hung on an organdy ribbon bow.

I was very please with how the little angel turned out and couldn't wait to make it into a card.

My daughter, her husband and 3 kids came over for dinner Saturday night and after they went home around 9 my sister and I started stamping and coloring. We made the frankenstein using the green and purple Top Note die ( I know I just can't help it ) and then we did a Christmas card. Peg is one who thinks that she needs at least 8 hours or sleep to feel rested. Now, that is all well and good unless you are a true crafter (or me) and color or design until your eyelids need toothpicks to stay open and then when you go to bed your mind spins with ideas that you have to force yourself to stay in bed and not get up and try. Well, anyway Peg stayed up until almost midnight, gasp, the earth did not end , and the sun did rise.

We had a great week-end and got some good quality stamping time together. She brought some other stamps that I still have to make into something before I put them on here. May be my project for my Tuesday Blog.

Thanks for looking and see you tomorrow.

I went on a Cruise Kinda!

Hi Everyone:

I know I didn't really go on a cruise with GinaK Designs but I did go on a Land Cruise at GinaK's forum on Splitcoast Stampers on Wednesday night. Yeah, me and about 100 other ladies, I'm surprised my boat didn't capsize!

I followed along with the forum, if you have ever been to a release party for one of the Stamp companies on SCS it is craziness trying to keep up. I know it and once in a while I will chime in but for the most part I just sit and "listen" to everybody else and enjoy the time with my stamping friends.

As part of the Land Cruise there are challenges. I thought I would play along as I usually do but I only liked one of the cards that I made and then only because it fit the criteria of the challenge. I'll show you what I mean later but just so that you don't go to another blog before finishing reading my story here is my last card(I had to do a second card for the water challenge) which I am pleased with.

The only problem I had with this card was it is really more pink tones but in dark gloomy rainy light it is more orange. The flower is from Melanie Muenchinger's A Year of Flowers, I can't get enough of coloring her beautiful flowers, which I colored with my Copic Markers.

I used the shoreline , the grass and the Sentiment Relax from GinaK Design's You are my Sunshine. I used my Copic Airbrush system to color in the sand and the water. I tore a sheet of cardstock to mask the water so that I could try to make some ripples or darker areas, like real water has. I think it still looks more like sky but for today it is water. That's my story and I am sticking to it, LOL. I had to draw the lily pads by hand because I don't have any lily pad stamps, what's up with that? I forgot to mention that the Challenge by Cammie was to have water on your card somewhere ( and not just what got spilled on it).

The first challenge I did was Donna Baker's challenge which was called Easy as 1 2 3. Not so easy for me. Challenge card had to have 1 piece of ribbon, no more than 2 layers and 3 embellishments that were of a like kind. Here is what I came up with:

I started with my angel. I didn't want to color her dress red because I have been making a lot of Christmas Cards and wanted to do something else. The angel is from Asela Hopkins Stamp set Christmas Blessings available at GinaK Designs. I colored her with my Copic Markers as usual and sponged around the edges with Stampin Up bordering Blue and Stampin Up Basic Brown. Then I went to grab a nice country piece of Background paper and remembered that we could only have one layer besides the card base. I decided that the Sanded Background stamp from Stampin Up would look nice and country/rustic so I inked it up with Basic Brown ink and gently placed it on my paper because I didn't want to have it be too dark. I sponged around the card base with the same bordering blue and basic brown. Okay almost done. I had to decide what to use for my embellishments. I grabbed out large country brads, nope. I grapped out buttons and fought with them for awhile, nope. I cut a piece of brown checked ribbon. I liked that but because of the size that I cut my main image I didn't really have anyplace to put three of anything I had, so nope to that too. I finally decided on some tiny heart antiqued brads and put one on the Angel's heart and the other two are attached and holding the 1 piece of twill ribbon in place. I stamped Friend from none other than GinaK Designs Botanical Dreams stamp set.

I think it turned out cute and I know my sister will like it when I show it to her this week-end. I haven't seen her for quite a few months and she is coming to see me tomorrow. That means I need to quit making cards and clean my house. It's a good thing I love her, making me stop coloring to clean.

I will probably post again this week-end but it depends. Thanks for listening to me ramble and looking at my cards.

Until next post Bye,

Cathy

Where is this month going?

I can't believe how the month is flying by and I have so many projects to do. It is raining here today and supposed to rain for the next couple of days so I should have time to get some stamping done, always an added bonus.
I did spend a couple of hours tonight stamping off some images to color, that's what I do. I am starting on my Christmas Card order for my manager as she buys all of her Team cards from me so that means I have 40 team cards to make and 10 Special cards for her Friends and Family. She calls me her Hallmark Store. I am not even going to introduce her to the rest of you guys because if she loves my cards, and she must because she has bought about 300 cards in the last year and a half, what she doesn't know won't hurt me ha ha. I'll be sure to post pictures when I get them done.
I think that I maybe make my cards backwards because I spend time coloring my images and then when I have a group done or I need a break from coloring I begin to design my cards around the images that I have colored.

This is a card that I made for my manager's granddaughter for Halloween. I used my Copic Markers to color the Pirate Hanna image from Hanna Stamps which is another Stamp company that I really like, after all that is where you buy the Riley Moose stamps.
I mounted the Hanna image on some halloween designer paper that I got in the Dollar Spot at Target, gotta love the Dollar Spot. I used Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the card base.
The scalloped edge was made with the Threading Water scallopped punch by Fiskars and the dew drops are Robins Egg Dew Drops I bought at Hanna Stamps as well. The bats and Happy Halloween are from the Spooky Silhouette Stamp Set by GinaK Designs. The Trick or Treat bag was from the Mini Halloween set by Hanna Stamps and I colored it with copic markers, cut it out and glued it to Hanna's arm.
I didn't add any additional embellishments as she was going to mail the cards and didn't want to have to pay additional postage.

Doesn't she look ready to go Trick or Treating?

Have a great day and thanks for looking.

I Love these Roses

Hi Everyone:

You are probably wondering if I only have one set of stamps, but I am having a ball coloring these flowers from A Year of Flowers by Melanie Muenchinger so here is my latest card. If you could only have one set of stamps this would be the one to have. What did I just say, One set of Stamps? Yeah Right. But seriously this would be a great choice.

I of course wanted to keep the card simple with the roses and Sentiment being the focal points. I colored the roses with Copic markers and cut them out. I mounted them on the top half of a Nestibility Oval and stamped Thinking of You from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set by GinaK Designs. I love the nice crisp lines of the Sentiments that are always on the sets I get from GinaK Designs. I wanted a little bit of interest on the bottom of the card so I used my dotted swiss cuttlebug border folder and then I used my corner rounder punch to scallop the bottom. I tied a piece of white organdy ribbon around the card and to my surprise the bow ended up pretty, Wallah my card is done.

I also made one more card using the Rose, My Yellow Rose of Friendship card.

I can't believe that I forgot to add the little ladybug to the 3Roses card above, she has been on all of my cards I have made with this set. I guess she is hiding under one of the roses. Oh, well, I thought this looked kind of fall yellow, you're not seeing it? It is the lightest color of yellow that I have in my Copic Markers but it matches the So Saffron by Stampin Up perfectly. I used a card base in white that I had run through the Cuttlebug with the Dotted Swiss embossing folder. I love the elegant look that the dotted swiss gives almost any design. I had bought the ribbon at Michaels and it matched the So Saffron perfectly. I added two rows of ribbon because when I stamped the stem I had a seam and wanted to cover it up.
I can't wait to see what Flowers I decide to color tomorrow, there are still several more in the set I haven't shown yet.
Well, thanks for taking a look at my Roses. Have a great day.

The Jury is still out on this card.

Hi Again,
This will probably qualify as my Monday post as I usually post very late at night, sleep is highly over rated.

I made this card for this beautiful Sleigh stamp from The Magic of Christmas set by Rupa Shevde sold at where else GinaK Designs. I love my one stop shop, the designers are awesome.

My quandry is the silver mesh behind the Top Note main image. I like it in person but I don't really like it photographed.

The card base is Red Riding Hood Stampin Up cardstock, yeah, I know you are shocked, but I bought two packs of it for Christmas Cards and then changed my design. The Sleigh stamp is colored with Copic Markers and the I added clear Stickles to look like snow. I traced the swirl design on the sleigh with my Spica glitter pen. I only have one color, green, and I only have that because it came in my Copic bag at Certification class. (I had been wanting to try them, they are cool and no surprise GinaK Designs carries them in the Store in a package of 12 different colors). I colored the Poinsettia and cut it out and popped it up on a foam square. I had to staple the Top Note panel to the card base because the silver mesh doesn't glue well, I think I hid the staples pretty good, can you see them?
I have one more card to share and then I am going to go back to finish cleaning my stamp room.

This card is one more that I was working out the technique of staying in the lines while doing the gradiant technique with my Copic Markers ( the blender pen is my new best friend). I got the idea to only stamp part of the daisy stamp from A Year of Flowers from Melanie Muenchinger's blog last night. I Love daisies in real life but I love to make cards with daisies more in the corn flower image, so thanks for the Tip and picture tutorial on how to do it. ( you can find the tutorial here:http://melaniemuenchinger.blogspot.com/) I didn't use a journaling pen as I wanted to use my Copic Markers to color them so I used my Momento Tuxedo Black Dew Drop Ink Pad and I could ink just the parts I wanted with it. I drew in the grass and then used the Copic Airbrush to add more green to the grassy area. I didn't place my stamps exactly like I thought I was so it looks like there is a strong westerly wind blowing. The little ladybug wants to be included on each card I make with this set and she wanted to stay out of the wind so she settled on the F in Friend. I mounted the main image on the green polka dot and mounted that on white CS leaving a small border around the green panel. I tied a pretty white organdy ribbon around the bottom and it is ready to give to a Friend.

Thanks for looking and have a Great Monday!

Cathy

I am soo Excited!

I am so excited that my blog has been discovered by people that I have been watching and stalking (in a good way) for months. If you are familiar with GinaK Designs you have heard of Melanie Meunchinger (melmel), Jessica Fick (JessJean) and Theresa (TheresaCC) they all commented on a couple of cards that I put in my Splitcoast Stampers Gallery yesterday, and some of them came here a left comments. Thanks!!!!

Theresa was my first ever guest( that I didn't know) to visit my blog and leave comments. I want you to know that I almost fell on the floor.

Fast forward to this morning, I wake up and check my email as I always do and I see a comment was left by Megan, whom I met at the Copic Certification class in Kansas City and we have sent some messages back and forth since and I check out her blog everyday. Then I also saw that Jessica left a comment, okay now my mouth is hanging open especially when I read that she had added my blog to her blog list. I was so excited that first I went to my blog to read all the comments, then thinking that Jessica was probably just being nice and saying she added my blog I had to go look. I see my name in her blog list, right above Cindy Haffner, can you just imagine the poor person who accidently hits my name instead of Cindy's. Hopefully they will look, leave a comment and then go to Cindy's blog.

My ultimate goal with my blog is first to show off what I love to do and get good enough to submit my blog to GinaK Designs for the In the Spotlight Designer Search they do monthly.

Enough jabber here is the Poinsettia Card that I made last night.

I have a slight addiction to the Top Note die Cut from Stampin Up as you can tell from a lot of my cards, I can't help it they help me look good. The Poinsettia is from A Year of Flowers by Melanie Meunchinger. I colored each poinsettia differently and then cut them out. The cutting took a while because Melanie put nice edge detail in each petal. I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder with the negative inking technique with white cardstock and river rock Stampin Up ink. I sponged the edge of the Top Note Mellow Moss piece with Always Artichoke Ink and stamped the Merry Chistmas Greeting also in Always Artichoke ink. The ribbon is some I got at Christmas last year from Michaels. I positioned the Poinsettias and popped the outside two on one foam square and the middle up on two foam squares.
I have to go for now and go watch the grandkids for about an hour. I will edit this later tonight to add the hyperlinks to all of the people and companies that I have mentioned today.
Have a great Sunday.

I've been practicing my Copic Techniques

I have finally had some time to practice my coloring techniques with my Copic Markers. Have I mentioned that I LOVE them HaHa! Only about a million times I know.

I created this bouquet of Tulips from the AYear of Flowers by Melanie Muenchinger sold at my favorite Stamp Store GinaK Designs. I used the gradiant technique to color the red and white tulip. Here is the card I created:

I think it turned out really pretty. Not exactly fall type flowers but I liked it anyway. Did you notice the cute little ladybug on the lower left leaf?

I also made a darling Angel using the Christmas Blessings stamp set created by Asela Hopkins and no surprise also sold by GinaK Designs, do you see a pattern here. I can't resist all of her stamps are so perfect for my copic markers. Here is my Angel card:

To be honest when I ordered this stamp set this was the one stamp that I thought I would not use, boy was I wrong. Just goes to show you that until you get that rubba in your hand ( that didn't sound good if you are not a stamper) you don't really know if you are going to Love a stamp or not. I kept the card kind of simple so that the Angel was the focal point. I added the Country Heart button with raffia to keep with the country style and added two buttons to the upper right hand corner. I used a piece of raffia to sew the buttons together .

We had a really fun day today with Cathryn and her kids, Austin 7, Cole 3 and Bailey 1. Jim and I went with them to Council Bluffs to Ditmar's Orchard where we rode a wagon pulled by a tractor to the pumpkin patch where we picked out our pumpkins. I just got some for decoration and Cathryn and her kids got ones large enough to carve. We also got some apples and I got some Apple Butter. Here are Cathryn and 3 of my 11 grandkids:

I am going to go finish a couple more cards and try to get them uploaded tonight. I have a big stamping and coloring day planned for tomorrow.

My first My Favorite Things Challenge

Since I am not going to be a Stampin Up demo after this month I am searching for other stamp companies that I would like to buy from. Of course GinaK Stamps will probably always be my favorite because I am a Copic addict and her stamps lend so well to coloring but I have been looking at My Favorite Things stamps for a while, so tonight I decided to do their weekly challenge as you didn't have to use MFT stamps to do the challenge. The challenge was a sketch challenge by Frances SCS StampOwl. Here is the card that I did.

Isn't that just the cutest snowman you have ever seen. I bought a package of Christmas Sayings and this darling little guy was hiding in the back of the package on the second sheet of stamps. Because everyone who knows me knows I love Snowmen I was thrilled.

I colored him with my Copic Markers and used my Marvy Scalloped Circle punch to cut him out. I used my QuikCutz Circle Scallop die cut in my Cuttlebug for the Blue Bayou circle which I had run through the Cuttlebug with the Snowflake embossing folder. I used a small snowflake embossing folder for the round snowflake and used my SU scalloped punch to punch out the Blue Bayou scalloped circle behind the small snowflake. I embossed the white cardstock with the Snowman Sayings embossing folder with my cuttlebug as well. This folder creates a negative image so the sayings are indented instead of standing out but I like it.

I had dyed ribbon a couple of weeks ago and the Baja Breeze ribbon matched the card stock that I had on my craft table to use. The ribbon slides were a bulk buy from Stampin Up.

This was a fun project and I think I stuck to the challenge pretty well.

Gotta go for now.

It's already Tuesday

Good grief, where does the time go. It seems like just yesterday that I was in Kansas City for the Copic Certification class and seeing the kids.

I went down to Blick Art Supply Store on Monday and got the basic Copic Airbrush system just to see how much I would really use it before I went crazy and bought the more expensive system.

Here is the card that I made playing with the airbrush. I used a scrap piece of vellum, masked some maple leaves on it and the sprayed orange, brown, and yellow for a nice fall background. Aren't the fall colors just yummy.

It is kind of hard to see how pretty this really is because in real life the vellum is translucent and the airbrush is a fine spray. The letters that say fall are cuttlebug and I added the three brown brads with orange paper punch spots behind them. The ribbon is from the Target Dollar Spot.

I have added some more Christmas pictures to my slideshow. I absolutely love the GinaK Christmas stamp sets. They really fit my style or simple elegance that are versatile and just the right detail.

I better wrap this up and get to bed, gotta work a long day tomorrow and Thursday to make up for missing last Friday, but taking the Copic Certification class was soo worth it.

Night all!

I'm Copic Certified!!!

Hi Everyone,
I went to Kansas City on Thursday night right after work so that I could be all bright eyed and bushy tailed for my Copic Certification class on Friday at 9 am. I was on time and didn't get lost, for which I am notorious in Kansas City, and spent the entire day learning and practicing copic marker techniques. The Air Brushing is awesome and now just another thing that I have to have!!! The class was taught by Marianne, who is the product specialist for Copic Markers, out of Eugene Oregon. Marianne made the class so much fun because she was very casual in her instruction, funny and always willing to "show" you how to do the technique correctly. I had issues with a couple of them. Funny thing is I had no problems with the hardest techniques but the supposedly simple ones, yeah, not so simple for me.
I met some really nice girls in the class, Megan from Oklahoma, Connie in KC with daughter but from Dallas, Connie from Millard (small world) and a young lady from Des Moines and I can't remember her name unfortunately. I will have to ask Megan what her name was.
With the completion of the class those attending were awarded signed certificated which states that they are qualified to teach Copic Marker techniques.
I am not sure exactly what I will be using this certification for but I have a few ideas that I may try to implement in the Omaha area.
I had a wonderful week-end with my daughter and her husband and 3 of my grandchildren, Cheyenne 8, Hayden 7 and Sierra 10 mo. The weather was beautiful so we spent some time outdoors, before bed on Saturday night I made Frankenstein cards with Cheyenne and Hayden and they did wonderful and we had a lot of fun.
I came home today and have to get back to work tomorrow. Gotta make money for more Copic Markers.
I am planning to post much more often ( I say that but then a couple of days turn into weeks, but I will try to be better). I will post some pictures of my copic technique cards in the next day or two.

I added a slideshow

I have been working on this darn slideshow for two nights and finally got it to load. It isn't exactly where I want it placed but it is at least on my page. I just wanted to be able to show some of the other cards that I have been making and if you want more information on any of them just let me know and I will add details.
I made a dozen more cards over the week-end so life is good. I will add more pictures to my slideshow when I have time to take the pictures.
I got my new order of GinaK stamps today so I am set for the Christmas card making on Friday, now I just have to get my samples made between now and then.
I decided to change the template for my blog as this one is easier to read and the pictures, even though they are the same exact pictures, are much clearer. What do you think?
See you Kansas City ladies this Friday night and to everyone else, Good Night, gotta go to work to make money for stamps :)

Are you ready for another Ladies Night Out?

Hi Everyone,

Well, I know it has only been three weeks but, I am coming to Kansas City for a class on Fridy so we are having our Monthly get together a week early Yeah!

I know you will love the projects that we will be doing this week-end. This Frakenstein, whose pattern I got on my favorite website Splitcoast Stampers, is made with the Stampin Up Top Note die for the Big Shot die cut machine. This is just too cute and so easy, no stamping, only punches and glueing. Here is a picture of the finished Frankie:

We are also going to be making a tealight luminary. I just love to decorate for Halloween. I guess if you never want to grow up that Halloween can still be your favorite holiday. Works for me!

This tealight luminary was created by Melanie Muenchinger, who is the Design Artist for GinaK Stamps which next to Stampin Up is my favorite stamp company.

I also have a couple of neat Christmas cards planned but haven't gotten the pictures uploaded yet. I am actually waiting for my new GinaK stamps that I ordered at their release party last week. I should have them Monday or Tuesday so hope to get some pictures uploaded by Wednesday for you all to see.

Make sure that you let Michelle know if you are coming by Wednesday night as I want to make sure that I have enough supplies with me for everyone.

This class will be 5.00. Please remember to bring your own adhesive and straight edge cutter. Please do not bring any of your own stamp sets as between Michelle and I we will have plenty.

See you Friday night!

Cathy
