Date Night :-)
The Lord thoroughly BLESSED me through my children today...WOW!
Found a few new recipes
Got my new Wii Active game working again
Dh worked out with me tonite
Skype-chat with a dear friend
Today's Not So Good Things:
Used my No Sleep night as an excuse to veg-out
Too much (yummy) supper
Only a partial workout (it was SO hard! I'm SUCH a wimp :( )
Snow Day Tomorrow!!!! The children worked on their lessons tonite during our date night so they'd be ready for our snow day tomorrow. Dh will be home from work, they have just a bit to finish up and then we are free to PLAY!!
I'm excited and really hoping no one is up feeling sick again tonite so we can all get some serious sleep. I am so looking forward to spending the day being active and doing something new and different with our day. I'm also super happy that my husband will be home, as he's been putting in a lot of hours lately. (Big blessing, but I still miss him. ;-) )
Oh, and about the children. I had such a hard night last night with our 2yo. She couldn't stay asleep due to a stuffy nose. So, while she tossed and turned (on me...in the recliner) and my 4yo stopped in and out a few times...and the baby wanted to nurse during the night...well, there was a lot of good bonding going on there. When morning came...I was really dragging.
I woke up to my big kids having already done their bible reading, my ds was reading to the little girls keeping them very quiet (hence, the reason I thought everyone was still asleep!) and they were ready and willing to give Mommy all the rest she needed. Each "team" (we have our kiddos buddied up as teams here ;-) ) took over a meal this morning. While one got breakfast rolling, the other two loaded up the crockpots for lunch and dinner and I set up in my comfy chair with Babydoll and directed traffic. They just kept going from good to better, working on their lessons, making yummy treats, working together sweetly making crafts and projects. It was such a blessed day. Especially when I walked into it thinking it was going to be One Tough Day.
My Lord is forever loving on me. He uses this amazing family to gently lead me, even when I know how undeserving I am. Being a daughter of the King is all about His complete mercy and grace!
Isaiah 40:11
Oh what a glorious sounding day! You are truly blessed to be a child of the King :) Looking forward to hearing about your active day tomorrow. It's too cold to go out and play here (it was -30F today) so I hope you have enough fun for us all too!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing it, Tracy! It is just one step at a time! Love reading about your days. :)
