So I missed my All About Me post last Friday because I was too busy posting all kinds of goodies from CHA. :) So today is a 2-for-1 today! Just what you wanted, right?!! LOL! ;)

Last week I was supposed to post the last purchase I made for myself. Would you be completely surprised that it was scrappy-related?! LOL! I think NOT!!! ;)

We have an AWESOME craft store here in Utah called Roberts Crafts. Do you know what I LOVE about them? EVERY SINGLE TIME you make a purchase at their store you automatically get 40% off one item. Cool, huh?!!! All you have to do is ask the cashier and it's a go.

Well, last week they were giving you 50% OFF every single day . . . so guess what I loaded up on? My latest collecting obsession . . . MY CUTE STAMPS. Love these things! I'm hoping to knock out some Valentine's cards with them in the coming week. :)

Today's post is called a Mini Me post . . . where I tell you some fast facts about myself.

Where were you born? Salt Lake City, Utah
How many houses have you lived in? Five, ALL of them within 15 minutes of each other.
Did you change Schools many times? Nope. I lived in the same house from the time I was born, until I was married. Kevin and I have lived in four houses during the 13 years we have been married.

I actually did a mini-album last year about the homes Kevin and I have lived in. It was such a fun project! I'll repost it here today, in case you are wanting to make something similar.

The base of the album was created from a file folder. To see pictures of how to create the base CLICK TO SEE MY PREVIOUS POST HERE.

Have a great weekend!

In Bloom Projects for My Little Shoebox

The colors in the In Bloom collection by My Little Shoebox are so girly and fun! Pinks, purples, yellows, blues, and browns . . . perfect colors for a house with three daughters!!! :D

Camryn's First Day - I've scrapped these pictures of Cam a few months ago, but I like to scrap my kids' school & Halloween photos two times each; once for their school albums, and another time to go in our family albums. I love how these papers coordinate perfectly with Cam's dress and backpack . . . And I just HAD to make a giant pencil from that yummy, dark yellow dot paper. :) FUN!

Farm Fun - More pictures from the pumpkin patch! This time the girls were riding the Cow Train. They had such a great time!

Sweet - Our sweet and spunky Cam! I used this everyday photo of our girl to record some of my favorite things about her right now. :) She is such a fun kid!

Thanks for popping by!

I'm Baaack!

Long time,no blog, huh?! As you probably guessed, I was off having fun with my family for Thanksgiving! :)

How was your weekend?!! After Thanksgiving on Thursday we drove to Roosevelt, Utah, to visit my sister and her family for the weekend. We had a great time and it was so relaxing. THANKS, Leslee and Chris!!!! We had a blast! ;)

Well, I think I owe you some projects for not being around for so long. :) So here we go!

Pumpkin Pickin' - Jensyn was quite meticulous in picking out her pumpkin this year at the pumpkin patch. She took her time, and I have to say, she did a great job! I love her round, picture-perfect pumpkin!

On this page I featured a bunch of products by Zva Creative. Not only do they make GORGEOUS crystal and pearl embellishments . . . check out the brads, 3D flowers and felt flowers on this page! All of them are from Zva Creative.

Patterned Papers: Pink Paislee, Luxe Designs, Scribble Scrabble;
Chipboard Letters: Pink Paislee; Puffy Letters: Making Memories;
Black Crystal Flourishes, Yellow 3D Flowers, Orange Felt Flowers, Green Crystal Brads: Zva Creative;
Journal Block: Anna Griffin

In honor of Thanksgiving last week, I wanted to create a page about something I am grateful for . . . my parents. Like many other people, as I have become a parent myself, I realize more and more all that my parents have done for me and continue to do for me. They are such good, good people and I am honored to call them my Mom and Dad.

This page was created with the Noel Mignon Mill Street Kit (sold out) and lots of Shimmerz Licorice Spritz on the background Kraft cardstock.

And then finally I have a Mini Book to share with you! This month Clear Scraps sent us My Little Shoebox designers each a custom chipboard mini-book of the letters of our names. Wasn't that sweet?!! I decided to make a book about all my favorite things at the moment.

On top of that, Shimmerz gave the MLS team loads of Shimmerz products to play with on our projects as well! :D I used lots of TextShimmerz Baby's Breath Spritz on the background papers to give each page a shimmery sheen. I also used Opal Shimmerz on the flowers and butterflies on the front cover.

Can you believe that tomorrow is December?!! Today my husband is off and we are going to spend the rest of the afternoon hauling out all the Christmas decorations.

See you again soon!

More Robots Unplugged

I have a few more projects to share with you using the My Little Shoebox "Robots Unplugged" collection. This is the time of month where you will start seeing the My Little Shoebox blog updated a lot as all the design team projects start rolling in so be sure and check it often over the next couple of weeks! :D :D :D

FAT CAT'S ARCADE- For my son's birthday he chose to go to a place called Fat Cat's here in Utah. I hadn't scrapped these yet because I was having a really tough time finding papers that worked with the dark photos and psychedelic colors of the arcade games. Robots Unplugged to the rescue!!!! I love how these pictures came together with these papers!!!

I love the way the Sprinkle Glazed Letter stickers by My Little Shoebox looked like they were lit up. I added Glossy Accents and mini glass micro-beads to the chipboard letters to continue that look. I also used Fruit Punch Stickles on the robot to make him "blink". :D

I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder "Stitched Circles" on the circle diecut and then sanded away the ink on the paper to reveal the white core below. It's a little hard to see, but I also used the "Distressed Stripes" Cuttlebug folder on the star paper behind the photos to add a bit of texture. :)

And Pixie Dust Blingz by Shimmerz on the background stars to make them "twinkle". :D

BIRTHDAY BLUR - This month the Design Team was asked to scraplift a page from one of our very own designers, Michelle Lanning. This is the page by Michelle that I was assigned to lift. Michelle is a great friend of mine and an INCREDIBLE designer!!! I LOVE to study her pages and was thrilled for the chance to lift her! :D :D :D

And here is my take on it. -- The pictures I take of the kids opening their birthday presents in the morning ALWAYS turn out cruddy. I really need to practice low-light situations. *sigh!* One of these days I'll get it. But in the meantime, my kids will have blurry, out-of-focus pictures to remember these mornings by. LOL!

Finally, I have a few robot cards for you! :D I think the Meep! Meep! one would be so fun for a birthday card. Again, I accented the robots with lots of Pixie Dust Blingz by Shimmerz to make them look like they were lit up and blinking.

Have a wonderful weekend!

The Sky is Falling! The Sky is Falling!

Did I catch your attention?! YES! A meteor went through the sky last night, just after midnight. Here are the pictures from our security cameras (the time says 1:07 because we haven't changed the time when Daylight Saving Time changed). I was on my computer facing away from the computer, but Kevin saw it! He yelled up the stairs to me, "Jana! Did you see that?! Did you see that?!" It was about 8 seconds long, but I was lost in internet-surfing-world.

It was so bright, that it turned off the street lamp! It actually looks like mid-day in these pictures. How neat is that?!

GO HERE to see the local news coverage story. WOW!!! So cool!!!

Photobucket

The Cuttlebug Challenge Blog has asked me to come on as a designer and I couldn't be more thrilled!!! :D :D :D The gals over there are dripping with creativity. You should see the things they create with the Cuttlebug embossing folders!!! WOW!!! I love my Cuttlebug embossing folders and can't wait to push the limits in applying them to my scrapbook pages! WooHOOOO! Thank you, Maggie, for this wonderful opportunity!

Right now they are having a blog hop. Go to this post at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog for more information and to get started! Have fun!

Well, I had to make a page using the Cuttlebug to go along with my fun news. So here is one using the Robots Unplugged Collection by My Little Shoebox .

I used the Tiny Bubbles Embossing Folder on the chipboard letters. To accent the texture I filled in each little circle with Tickle Me Turquoise Shimmerz by Shimmerz Paints . (I also accented the robot and his ice cream cone with Tickle Me Turquoise, Poinsettia Pink, and Key Lime Shimmerz. The ice cream cone is accented with Pixie Dust Blingz to make it sparkle.)

The circle die cut with the number "6" on it is embossed with the Stitched Circles embossing folder. I dragged a black ink pad across the raised area to highlight it. LOVE the look of it!

For the bookpaper ruffles, I used Eucalyptus and Baby's Breath Spritz by Shimmerz. Love the way it adds texture and dimension around the page.

I will start my official Design Team duties for the Cuttlebug Challenge blog in January. Watch for those projects beginning after the New Year.:D :D :D

Thanks for letting me share!
See you again soon!
