Imaginisce Bday Bash Collection

Birthday season is about to settle upon our household. Camryn's birthday is next week and then the rest of my kids' birthdays are in August. Party time!!!

Imaginisce has come out with the CUTEST birthday collection I have ever seen. I literally giggled when I opened up everything in the new Bday Bash Collection . . . I mean, come on! Look at those adorable candles and banner ribbons! And the COLORS!!! If you know me, you know I have to use on practically every page I make . . . I LOVE that they paired chocolate brown with Primary colors in this collection. The result is fun, but not too childlike. I really think you could scrap any age, any person's birthday with this collection.

This collection makes me WANT to tackle the stacks of birthday photos I need to scrap! Hehehe!
Here are a few pages I have made with it so far. :)

Guest Designing at Imaginisce!!!

As if yesterday wasn't FUN enough!!! . . . I also get to be the Guest Designer at Imaginisce for the coming week!!! :D :D :D I tell you, I'm on cloud 9!!! :D :D :D Whoever helped the stars to align in my favor . . . I owe ya one. ;)

Yesterday, Imaginisce featured the pages I made with their To Love & Cherish line on their blog. I will be sharing those with you in just a moment. But first, I want to tell you exactly WHY I love Imaginisce so much! :D

If you know me as a scrapper at all, you know that I go GAGA over layering and dimension. I can't leave things flat. I just can't. I'm a bumpy-lumpy scrapper through and through. :) Next time you are at your scrapbook store I want you to go to the Imaginisce section and look at their products. EVERY SINGLE PIECE has depth, dimension, and interesting character to it! They've even managed to make flat paper dimensional!!! Eeeek!!! How cool is that?! What do I mean? On one side of each paper part of the design has been enhanced with a special glossy UV spot. It's like having clear embossing built into your papers! I LOOOOOVE it! It simply makes me happy. :D

And! They're embellishments! Stacked stickers, chipboard, ribbons, rub-ons, brads, flowers, stamps, PUFFY stickers, and shiny Sticker Glass stickers!!! I just want to lay them all out on the floor and dive into them. LOLOL! My kids found them quite appealing as well . . . I felt like I had to crack out a whip to protect my goods . . . BACK! You, kids! These are mine! Back! Back! Hehehehe!

Okay, enough of my gushing. I feel like I'm starting to sound like an Imaginisce Infomercial . . . I just hope you can tell that I LOVE Imaginisce. :D I've been having fun playing with everything and can't wait to show you what I created this week.

Sooo, first up! The TO LOVE & CHERISH collection. This collection is geared towards weddings, proms, and any other kind of black tie affair. Since it's been awhile since I've attended anything like that . . . I wanted to show you that this collection is just as fun to use for everyday moments. :D (Click on images to view larger.)

I'M A ROCK STAR

Camryn usually isn't a fan of me taking pictures of her. I was out in the yard practicing my manual settings for a photography class I'm taking, when she climbed on top of a boulder in our yard and yelled at me, "Mom! Look! I'm a Rock Star!" Whoa! Now that's a pose! Heee! I'm so glad I had my camera ready and I was able to snap it! :D What a hoot that kid is! She cracks me up every single day. :D

I cut out some of the swirls from the papers and combined them with the flowers, pearl brads, and Sticker Stackers to embellish my photo grouping.

To add a rock star "edge" to my page I added lots of Metallic Pearl Hot Rocks with the new i-Rock tool by Imaginisce. This tool is AWESOME!!! I would never be willing to give up that many silver brads to one page. But with Hot Rocks it's easy, fast, and economical to add dazzle to your project and not feel guilty about it. YAY!!! I love this tool . . . you'll be seeing more of it on pages I'll share with you next week. :)

I also added a rock star feel with Shimmerz Paints. I spritzed the background cardstock with Baby's Breath and Cotton Candy Spritz. Next I dripped Hottie Pink Blingz and Pink Shimmerz paint here-and-there. I allowed the paint to dry for a minute and then wiped most of it away, leaving the dried edges of the paint drops. It was an experiment, but I actually really like the way it look here.

JENSYN

For this page, I combined the TLC collection with a soft butter yellow. Swoon! LOVE this color combination! I will definitely be playing with it again. The background is misted with Licorice Spritz by Shimmerz Paints. I cut out lots of bits and pieces from several of the patterned papers, layered them together around the photo and then accented the flowers with Pearl Hot Rocks.

I created the title by covering up the wedding sentiment with a length of ribbon. I spelled out my title on top with Jenni Bowlin letter stickers and then accented either side with Pearl Hot Rocks. The journal spot is by Anna Griffin.

Whew! Thanks for sticking with me this far! And THANK YOU to Imaginisce for having me! I'll be back throughout the week with even more layouts to show you. :D

Have a great day!

Guest Designing at Making Memories!!!

Making Memories products have been a staple item in my stash ever since I began scrapbooking over 12 years ago. Their very first store (which later turned into the Making Memories brand) was right here in my hometown of Bountiful, Utah. I still remember that creative rush I got every time I stepped into that store and started browsing the wire racks filled with creative supplies! :D :D :D

When I was asked if I would like to create a page for the blog, I pulled out all of my Making Memories supplies . . . and couldn't stop! Here's my desk in the middle of my creative process. :)

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone at Making Memories for inviting me to guest on the blog! What an HONOR considering you are the folks that started me on my creative journey all those years ago! ;)

To see the four pages I created, stop by the Making Memories blog today and say hello. :) Hope to see you there!

Woot! Woot! Happy Birthday to an AMAZING Sketch Site . . . Creative Scrappers! All month long they have been celebrating with tons of inspiration. Seriously! Check it out when you get a chance! :D

Creative Scrappers is a place I going to when I'm in need of a little creative push. LOVE their sketches! So you can imagine that I was incredibly honored that Kristine would ask me to join in with the team and Guest Design using their 100th Sketch!!! WOW! What an accomplishment! Congratulations, Creative Scrappers!!! Thank you to Kristine and the rest of the team for having me! :D :D :D

This page is created using the brand-new (and incredibly gorgeous) So Sophie "Clever" line by My Mind's Eye. I love the color combination and can see this for Easter pages, girl pages, baby pages, Mother's Day pages, soft beach photos, and more! So pretty!

I created another page with the So Sophie "Clever" line and thought I would share it with you at the same time as the other one.

Thanks so much for coming by!

Express the Moment February Guest Designer

This month I was honored to be the Guest Designer at Express the Moment. Not only did I have a chance to try out Express the Moment's kits, but SO DO YOU!!! Kim Rose, the owner, has generously offered up a chance to win a ETM kit here on my blog!

Here is what you need to do . . . Leave a comment on this post telling me what you'd like to see more of on my blog (sketches, step-by-steps, technique tutorials, pages, projects, etc?) or ask me a question by Midnight MST, February 24th. I will draw a winner on Thursday, February 25th. :) I will do my best to address your requests and answer your questions in the coming months. Sound good?! :)

I played with the February 2010 kit featuring beautiful BoBunny papers. The great thing about Kim's kits are not only do you get a collection of beautifully coordinated products all ready to go . . . she also provides you with several ideas to start using your new kit right away! Inside the kit I found a page full of ideas and suggestions as well as four pages of sketches. How great is that?! :) Just open your box, and SCRAP! :)

Here are the three layouts and card that I created with the Feburary 2010 Kit.

If you would like to get your hands on one of these darling kits, make it quick! There are only a few left!!! But wait, you can also find all the 2009 kits ON SALE here. Who doesn't like a sale?!!! Right?!!! :)

Be sure to check out Kim's blog. She is having a fun contest with her recipe kits for ANOTHER chance to win! WooHOOOO!

Thank you, Kim, for having me this month! You are such a sweetheart and it has been a pleasure getting to know you and your business.
