Guest Blogging at Echo Park Paper

***Please Scroll Down for the My Mind's Eye 12 Designer's of Christmas Blog Hop***

I am so excited to be Guest Blogging at Echo Park Paper Blog today! I love their cute collections and was excited to play with their "Everybody Loves Christmas" collection. Don't the happy colors remind you of "visions of sugar plums?" :D

Here is the scrapbook page I created.

Patterned Papers & Sticker Elements: Echo Park Paper
Cricut Cartridge: Christmas Solutions Cartridge
Chipboard Letters: Making Memories
Buttons: Basic Grey

**********************************************************

I also wanted to share with you a project that I did for the My Mind's Eye blog recently.

Each year we like to make an ornament for each of our kids, and if possible, we love to add a current picture to their ornament. This ornament was created using the My Mind’s Eye Colorful Christmas collection from last year. I purchased the plastic ornaments at the craft store along with the clear filler beads (snow). These are quite easy to put together!

First, I opened the ornament and traced the diameter of the circle onto patterned paper. I then cut two pieces of patterned paper and adhered them back-to-back. On one side I added a photo of my child and the year. On the other side I added a chipboard character and chipboard snowflakes.

Before gluing the ornament shut I added white bead filler for the snow on each side of the ornament.

Add ribbons and a button finish the ornament off.

Thanks for stopping by today! I wanted to share this project for those of you who may still have Colorful Christmas in your stash, but it is really easy to switch out the current collections, too!

Hope you are enjoying your holiday!

Christmas Busy!

Hi Friends! I haven't been around much this week . . . been busy, busy, busy crossing off items on the Holiday To Do List! . . . Doesn't that feel great?! :D

But I do have a couple small projects I thought I'd pop on real quick to share with you, a Christmas Card and Christmas Gift Tags.

I made this card using my Cricut Expression for the Trim the Tree Seasonal Cartridge debut. I also used the Christmas Cards Cartridge for the card shape and label shape. I added a ribbon to the reindeer's neck for a scarf. :) Patterned Papers and Sentiment sticker are from the Echo Park Merry Christmas collection. Pearls are by Melissa Frances.

These are the gift tags I made to go on our Neighbor Gifts this year. I used the my Cricut Expression to cut out the circles (Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge) and Gingerbread Man (Gingerbread Seasonal Cartridge). Check out that super cute Ric Rac Circle Stamp! I think this is my new favorite stamp! I can see myself using that one over and over and over. It is by Pink Persimmon. Brad buttons finish him off perfectly. :) The To/From information is written on the backside.

WANTED: It's An Outlaw Thing
Featuring the My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy Collection

Dress-ups aren't just for girls around our house. My son has just as much fun as they do dressing up as a pirate, storm trooper, or, in this case, an outlaw. (Don't try and call him a cowboy . . . he wants to be the bad guy. LOL!) I just HAD to use the cute Cowboy accent from the Blackbird collection. Using papers from the Fine & Dandy True Blue collection keep this page from feeling like a Halloween layout.

Thankful with True Blue

I am in love with the Fine & Dandy "True Blue" collection by My Mind's Eye. The colors and patterns just speak to me . . . I can see myself using this collection over and over, so don't be surprised if you see it some more. ;)

Thankful 2010

I typically do not add a large amount of journaling to my pages, but this time I decided to make it the focal point of my design. I wrote out what I wanted to say in a notebook beforehand so that I had an idea of how much space to plan for my journaling. Next, I created a design leaving lots of writing space, the notebook patterned paper in the Fine & Dandy "Tickled Pink" collection was perfect for this! I used chalks to emphasize the words in my paragraph that went along with the Thankful theme of my page.

I used my Cricut Expression machine and the Thanksgiving Cartridge for my title. I cut out the "Thankful Heart" phrase and trimmed out the word "Thankful" adding the oak leaf from the "Heart" phrase. I LOVE the images on the Thanksgiving Cartridge . . . definitely a favorite that I can see myself using over and over.

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy "Tickled Pink" Patterned Paper (Wonderful #FAD112), Fine & Dandy "True Blue" Patterned Papers (Dapper #FAD123, Snazzy #FAD132) , 6 X 6 Paper Pad #FAD135, Chipboard Accessories # FAD140, Layered Stickers #FAD142, Stamps #FAD143, Buttons #FAD139, orange patterned paper (MME Kaleidoscope collection), brown cardstock, Cricut Thanksgiving cartridge (title) and brown embroidery floss.

New EXCLUSIVE Cricut Circle Cartridge

Today on the Cricut Circle Blog the Design Team showcased the new cartridge coming out next quarter for the Circle Members. (I believe the next quarter begins in January.)

This cartridge is full of cute cuts featuring Cricut Logos, Machines, Scrappy Supplies, an alphabet, phrases, and more!

Here are the projects I have made with it so far. :)

UTAH SWARM LAYOUT
I had the best time last month attending my first Cricut Swarm. I got to meet several of the Circle Design Team members (I've known Michele Kovack online for 3 years . . . and this is the first time we met "in person." :D It was soooo much fun!) as well as many other fabulous Cricut-Crazy People! Yay! I think crafters have got to be the sweetest bunch there is. ;)

I used the Ultra-Cute Boo! Collection from American Crafts for this page.

CUTTLEBUG STORAGE
I can't wait to make more organization labels for my craft room using all the cute images of the Cricut Machines, glue, scissors, trimmers, and MORE! :D The scallop "label" is actually the background of the Cricut Cake logo. I embossed it with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. Cardstock by American Crafts.

IT'S A CIRCLE-Y PARTY!
This cartridge includes all kinds of buggy accessories to help you celebrate your next Cricut get-together. :D My kids even love all the goodies and have been wearing them around the house all day. :D Glitter Cardstock from Die Cuts with a View.

Pretty darn cute, don't ya think?! I love this cartridge!

If you are interested in joining the Cricut Circle you can join on the Cricut Website HERE.

Thanks for popping by!
