Update on Jason

Jason has been recovering really well!!  Thank you for all your prayers.  His pressure went down enough for them to conduct a spinal tap.  He has responded to verbal commands and they just removed his breathing tube.  Continued prayers for a full recovery!

Finishing Up

DH is headed back to the Condo today to finish up the last of the work there: one more counter top to put on, putting the appliances back in place, removing all tools and assorted goods, and cleaning out the back porch.  The cleaning company comes tomorrow to do one last tidying before the tenants move in on Friday.

Whew!

We are waiting for our closing documents and info needed from the Title Company, for the closing scheduled for next week.

Please pray for us...that there are no surprises and all falls into place according to His Will.

Thank you.

Prayer Request Update

We are now moving on to Step 2 of the prayer request I mentioned earlier.

Info: We put an offer on a house. It got accepted, so now we make full loan application to the bank, set up home inspection, and get our condo. ready to rent.

So continued prayers are much appreciated.  All for His Glory!

Prayers Requested

If you could spare a prayer my way, that would be greatly appreciated.

Our family has a few big things to think about in the next few days, what direction we're being called to with a decision.  So prayers are helpful.  I'm just praying for His will to be done, for all things to come together in His will, and for peace.

Thank you!

A bit of a scare

I have been experiencing some discomfort the last few days and got very concerned for the pregnancy.  I did have the labs drawn yesterday but am still waiting on results.  I called to see if the Dr. could see me due to my concerns and thankfully he had an opening.

So we dropped Pearl off at a dear friend who offered to watch while we made the drive down. (Dr's office is 50 minutes away)

Dr. said I am measuring right on target at 13 weeks.  He also checked for baby's heartbeat and found it right away.

Praise God!!

So we'll wait for the lab results to determine future course for addressing the hormone imbalance, but as of now this little one is okay.

Thank you so much for your prayers!!

It was such joy and peace of mind to hear that heartbeat.  Tears of joy from both DH and I when we heard his/her heart beating with mine.  We heard the babe by himself a couple of times and then Dr. got ours together.  It was the coolest to hear them together.

So advised to rest and drink more fluids the next couple of days.  Just keeping an eye on things to see if that discomfort goes away.

All the Saints in Heaven, keep praying for us!

Prayer Request

Would you say a prayer for Tori?  She is my cousin who was in a car accident on Friday.  She was hit by a truck while crossing the street (incident is under investigation) and suffered broken ribs and a broken pelvis.  A long road to recovery is ahead for her, so prayers are much appreciated.

Thank You!

Update:  She is doing much better than initially expected!  She was released home this week and will become lots of physical therapy.  Still a long road, but her spirits are up and she is surrounded by a lot of love.  Thank you for your prayers!

Horizontal

That's what I've been doing any spare moment I can get.  I normally would blog in the evenings after Pearl went to bed, but the morning sickness is hitting me hard right after dinner.  So no worries, God is Good.  I'm just resting a lot right now:)

9 1/2 weeks

Labs drawn this week showed a surge in progesterone and HCG levels. Wahoo!  I'm feeling good because I'm feeling bad:)

Lots of ickies and sickies.  God is Good.  Praying for holy energy each day.

Pearl and I have been enjoying old episodes of Sesame Street (circa 1970's) in the afternoons when its a little rough.

Keep up the prayers, prayer warriors!

Thank you:)

A funny story

So here is a funny story for your Friday.

At the beginning of January, Pearl started praying nightly for "her baby in mommy" again.  We started talking some more about our Teresa being in Heaven with Jesus.  However, this continued every night and she became even more affectionate with me, kissing my stomach, etc.  A friend brought back the Maternity clothes I had lent her during her pregnancy and Pearl asked what kind of clothes they were.  I explained that Ms. Sara borrowed the clothes because you wore those when you were going to have a baby.  Pearl then handed me a shirt from the bag and said "Here, Mama."

At that point, I was getting a little concerned.  Number one, my body was still healing from our miscarriage in November.  Charts clearly showed my body was still healing.  Number two,  even if we had conceived it was a week and a half before it was even possible to take a test.  So crazy.

As I got closer to the next cycle due to start, I started to get really tired, slightly nauseous, dizzy.  Classic signs.  Now I'm just getting weirded out.

Earliest day I could take a test....faint line.  Maybe it wasn't a good test.  Maybe that was there before.  That is really faint.  So I take a few more every other day until the cycle is due.  Ummm, that line is getting brighter.

Call the Dr. who requests labs drawn.

Next day, "Well, Congratulations!  You are indeed expecting."

We are in a little bit of shock, nervous, anxious, joyful, surprised.  You name it, we felt it.

Pearl, however, is going about her business as usual since she knew it all along:)

Recent labs do show low progesterone levels but HCG level was within normal range.

May I ask your prayers for us during this time?  For peace and trust in His will.  For this little one, that he/she will grow healthy and strong and we carry to term.  For Joy in all things.

Thank you.

Anxiousness

That should probably read, "Anxiety," but that stresses me out even more.

The last few days have each held this emotion for me.  I seek to be peaceful and trusting, but every time the phone rings my heart jumps to my throat.

We are waiting on news.  Good or Bad...we don't know yet.

I go about our days throwing myself into tasks, but my mind is elsewhere.

Lord, calm my fidgety hands, my nerves, my thoughts, my emotions...Jesus, I trust in You.

Prayer Request

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Lindsay, a former student of mine. She passed away last week while visiting her family over Spring Break. She was a senior in college. Thank you.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual Light shine upon her; may her soul and all souls, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Prayer Request

Please pray for us! We woke this morning to a pretty big water leak in the kitchen. It's now moving into the Dining Room. We're not sure the extent of damage we're facing, but plumbers have been called and we'll be calling our Insurance later today.

Prayer Request

Would you all pray for a young lady we know through the Campus Ministry?

She is from Haiti and is in her last semester of college. She was just given custody of her three young cousins from the Haitian earthquakes. Her sister, their mother, is fine, but feels it would be best for the children to be here in the U.S. during this recovery time.

This is a lot to handle and prayers are much appreciated. Thank you!

Prayer Request

Just asking for some prayers for our family. We have started talking about/praying about/discerning some big changes for our family to go into effect this upcoming spring. If you could spare some prayers, we'd love it!

Very exciting and just asking the Lord to keep leading us in His ways:)

Thanks!

Update

A prayer request update:

1) My mother and one of my aunts are driving my grandma from Colorado to North Dakota so she can be at home during this time. She is fading fast, I'm told. Please pray that they can get to ND where my grandma lives. She just wants to be home when she passes.

2) Our friend was informed she has a cancerous mass attached to her heart and will begin chemo and radiation. She has asked us to pray that this suffering helps to heal relationships in her family.

Thank you.
