Enthronement

Today is a special day for our family!

This evening we will be consecrating our family to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

This has been a long time coming for DH and I. We have been wanting to do this since before we were married. Actually, my wedding present from DH was an image of the Sacred Heart that he "put together" for me. He took the image and laquered it to a piece of wood and added a wooden frame to it. It is HUGE! Then my birthday present this year was an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the same style, that we have placed right next to the Sacred Heart. Add a small mantle next to it, and now we are set for our "Enthronement." This site has a good explanation as to this devotion.

We will be having our Parish Priest over to preside over the Enthronement and several close friends to witness this event and share a meal with us at the conclusion.
