Wordless Wednesday Special Edition, Issue #12: Dan McNab Photography
My thirtieth birthday had passed on October 25, something I had mixed feelings about. The 'number' I had denied for so long, but still admitted in age if anyone asked (I ain't no lady!). I still have people ask me at work if I should be in school. I guess these good looks shouldn't go to waste! So, I called my friend Dan McNab to help me out! This photo shoot was the very first thing I did on the day of my birthday (a Monday this year), sans makeup or fab model getup. I wanted something casual, urban, youthful and fun for these portraits - something I can reflect on in later years and remember to have that same youthful attitude all my life. I also hope to use some of these as part of a headshot package for future auditions and gigs!

Wordless Wednesday, Issue #11: Graffiti Art for 'Rent'
The set is all done for this weekend's run of Brampton Music Theatre's Rent - and only this weekend at the Rose Theatre in Brampton! A big thanks to Shawn, a local artist from Orangeville who provided some rather awesome graffiti art for the set's ambience of the backstreets of New York City. Check out these photos of art in action!

Wordless Wednesday, Issue #10: A Walk With Shiva
It's been a little while since I've posted a photo essay!
Monday was my birthday and had taken the day off to have a fun little photo shoot with Dan McNab, a friend and hobby photographer who's natural eye behind the lense has astounding results. (You'll see more about him in next week's Wordless Wednesday, but you can check out his blog for yourself here!) A rainstorm threatened the area in the afternoon, so we got started early in the day. The afternoon was mine - inspired by our little photographic adventure, I leashed up Shiva, sportin' her new Mr. Soft Top sweater and grabbed my camera for a nice walk through the Brampton Cemetery and parts of downtown Brampton. I couldn't have asked for a nicer day.

Wordless Wednesday, Issue #7: "And What Do You Do?"
What was that thing that President Obama said about putting lipstick on a pig? It's like putting a musician in a suit and tie.
These are some of the awesome people I work with at Long & McQuade Musical Instruments.
