Happy Sunday!! I hope you are all having a great weekend. Hubby is in Phoenix so I have been busy getting cards in the mail & realizing I still have to make some! I did get out with some girlfriends to a craft show and bought myself some fantastic candles - hmmm maybe I should have been buying Christmas presents?!
My wonderful friend Janet asked me if I would like to be a guest on the Corrosive Challenge Blog for this month, and I was thrilled! She knows I would do anything for her she's that sweet! This weeks challenge was Red & White - hmm I like lots of colours so this was a challenge for me! I found one of my Kraftin Kimmie stamps that's been neglected & thought it would be fantastic in Red & White.
Antoinette is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. On her skates I used a white glaze pen. For the fur trim I used liquid applique and glitter then heated it up. On her scarf I used a clear glaze pen and for the buttons I used silver viva decor. The ds paper is from SU - riding hood red. I used riding hood red and white card stock which I embossed with swiss dots. For the ice I used crystal stickles. The layout is a Sweet Stop Sketch from a few weeks ago (SSS83).
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a chance to play along with the Corrosive Challenge this week

Digi Birthday Wishes
I finally entered the world of digital stamps this week, I know most of you have been enjoying them for a long time what can I say I'm a little slow at jumping on these great images.
I ordered this sweet Birthday Ian from the Greeting Farm and printed it onto
Neenah paper. I coloured him with copics and used my yellow and clear atyou spica pen on the presents bows and my glaze pen on the paper so the wrapping is shiney in person.

For my inspiration I used this weeks Sweet n Sassy sketch over on The Sweet Stop blog (SSS30). I also played along with the Corrosive Challenge (CCBJ38) this week which was to emboss anything - I used Cuttlebugs Spots & Dots on my base cs. The paper is all from Taylored Expressions Places You Will Go Key Ingredients kit.
Thanks for stopping by - have a fantastic day

Making Snowmen
This week over at the Corrosive Challenge Blog (CCBJ16) Janet had a sketch & when I saw it I grabbed this sweet Elzybells stamp "making snowmen" because it worked perfectly
Dana
The image is stamped with Mementos ink on Gina K pure luxury cs and coloured with copics (sorry I forgot to take a picture of them). On the trim on her coat I used white flocking, which reminded me a of pink fur (OK fake fur) coat & hat I had and LOVED. I added some ultra fine glitter on the snow and a snowflake in the corner
The cb is SU's Riding Hood Red layered with Baja Breeze that I embossed with snowflakes. The DS paper is from my stash of My Minds Eye Christmas paper
Have a great Thursday & I hope you can play along with the Corrosive Challenge this week

2 for One
I wanted to make this Father's Day card using Taylor's sketch from last week (TECC71) and take part in Janet's Corrosive challenge 15 this week; a Father's Day card but I wasn't sure I would have a chance to stamp today because I had to go to the passport office (yep I am stuck here for a couple of weeks!) Last time I had to renew the line ups were crazy long but I somehow managed only 30min BUT you can't be that lucky twice right?! Well it took only 10 min. start to finish!! There was NO ONE in line how sweet!! Gave me the time I needed to make my card :)
Dana
The Stamp is from Taylored Expressions Whimsical Wishes Boys will be Boys line - love this because there is a stamp for any guy in your life. My father-in-law reads a couple of newspapers a day so this was perfect; and although he doesn't drink coffee (crazy I know!) he does like tea or hot chocolate. The card came together quickly because I used my March Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions, I have been receiving them for 3 months and LOVE them & will re-new my subscription when it runs out!
After the passport office I had lunch with a friend on a patio because it's nice here today & now I am just getting ready to go & golf with some friends - what a great day!!
Have a great rest of your day -

Rockin' the Cupcake Challenge
YEAH two challenges in one!!! I played along with the Corrosive Challenge Blog by Janet this week which was anything to do with Rock because she is a rocker chick!! Then I used Taylor's Cupcake Challenge TECC68 from this week AND all the paper is from my March Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit (they are worth every penny even for us Canadian girls!!)
Rockstar Anya image was given to me in a swap by the rocker chick herself Janet so I happy to do her challenge. This is the 2nd Greetinig Farm stamp I've used & I can honestly say I feel an order coming on!!!
I coloured her with copics and cut the image out with my nesties. I added some ghost stars with buttons from my stash (they are from basic grey) Along the red strip I added some rhinestones to give her some bling since she's a Rockstar!!

A card for Abygail...
This weeks challenge over at the Corrosive Challenge by Janet was a Sketch challenge - I have to say I really like sketch challenges or themes so I was excited to play along!
Janet received a sweet puppy for her birthday so I decided to honour Abygail & Janet with my card :)
I chose Torn Paper from Elzybells because Janet hasn't had a lot of time to stamp this weeks; she's been having to keep her eye on the little one. I stamped the image with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured it with lyras, prismacolours & mineral spirits. The DS paper is from SU - riding hood red.
I dusted of my quickutz (don't remember the last time I used those!) and cut her name out using "olivia"
Janet hopefully when you get this Abygail doesn't tear it up!!
Have a great day everyone

Monster Birthday...
Over on the Corrosive Challenge blog by Janet the challenge this week is to make a birthday card 'cuz it's her birthday today (happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday my friend happy birthday to you!!)
I love this new stamp from Stamping Bella called Monstah Mash and I decided to use if for Janet's challenge. I coloured the center one orange for me 'cuz I'm the tallest & the green one is Karen (no pink in the paper so she agreed on green) and red for Janet 'cuz she's the shortest of us all!!
Monstah Mash is coloured with Lyras, Prismacolors and mineral spirits and on their teeth I used atyou spica pens because these monstah's have good teeth :) I added some stickles on the antennas and the dots. The balloon is popped up
The sentiment is from Stamping Bella & I finished it off with some Bella bonbons
Remember you have until 5pm EST to send Em your cards for this weeks Bellariffic challenge - birthday bash
Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!!

Two Challenges & a Kit!!
I am so excited - I managed to do 2 challenges and broke open my Taylored Expression Key ingredients kit for April (March's is still waiting for some lovin'!!)
My friend Janet's challenge this week over at the Corrosive Challenge blog was to make a Mother's Day card; Janet lost her mother to cancer so big hugs to her for making this one of her challenges as Mothers Day is tough for her. I have to thank her because now my mom MIGHT get her card on time; you know it still have to get into the mailbox! Her gift is always late because I deliver it in person; which she prefers :)
I played along with the MOJO Monday 84 challenge for my card. The image is from Taylored Expressions Fresh Flowers set which is designed by the amazingly talented Nancy McKinney. The image is stamped with memento's tuxedo black ink on Taylored Expressions vanilla cs and coloured with copics.
I popped up 1 of the flowers and paper pieced the center on the big flower. I added some tiny hearts from Taylor's Multi-colored Twinkle Shapes. The image and the sentiment are both cut with nesties
I really like the kits (the March one looks really pretty...) they are definitely worth purchasing!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great night - mine so far is perfect; the Flames are losing the hockey game so I am a happy girl :) - sorry Wendy!!

If I listen to my Ipod will I look like this?????
Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter weekend; we spent Saturday in Edmonton with hubby's family but were home in time yesterday to spend the afternoon watching the Masters on TV; so it was a great weekend!!
Over at the Corrosive Challenge Blog yesterday Janet had a sketch challenge which fit perfectly with Ipodabella; seriously if I listened to my Ipod more would my butt look like that?! Maybe I should start logging the hours; but I guess it won't work if I am sitting in my stamp room!!
Ipodabella is stamped with memento ink and coloured with copics. I coloured the trim on her jacket and purse separately and paper pieced them on so the image has more dimension, I also coloured her boots (don't think they're made for walkin'!) with my purple atyou spica pen.
The image is mounted on elegant eggplant and the card base is pacific point. The DS paper is from S.E.I and it's called Bridgeport. I cut the one piece of ds paper (back of the striped piece) because I didn't have the right ribbon and added a prima flower with an olive bella bonbon
I don't usually put sentiments on my cards; don't like to commit, so I paper pierced along the bottom of the card base
Don't forget you have until Thursday to email Em your cards for this weeks Bellariffic Fridays - all entries will be entered in a draw for Bellabuck & who couldn't use those!!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Easter/Spring Challenge
Today's challenge over at The Corrosive Challenge Blog is Spring or Easter cards. Well it was fun to play along today since it's actually spring like here & there isn't any snow in the forecast this week!!
For this challenge I decided to make another Easter card; this is a record number for me (3) now I just have to get them sent out; which always slows me down! I used Taylor's Cupcake Challenge 62 and I used a stamp from Taylored Expressions Sweet Spring set
The image is stamped with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copics, I added some stickles to the top of the cupcake and Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the egg (LOVE THESE!!)
The DS paper is from Creative Imagination, the yellow squares DS paper is from Chatterbox. The DS paper and image are layered on SU's Taken with Teal. The image and squares are all cut with nesties.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

A Christmas card on a Spring Winter Day...
Well the good news is we didn't get as much snow as last weekend - the bad news is we got a lot of snow!!! Seriously we have more snow now then we did at Christmas!! So it was fitting the my friend Janet's Corrosive Challenge #5 today was a Christmas/ winter card with an animal.
For this card I used Jen's SKFYTT - I look forward to them every week!!
The image is from Elzybells called Sleeping Reindeer; when I first saw this challenge from Janet I figured easy I have TONS of animal winter stamps - um NO I have tons of Snowmen & I don't think they count as animals!! This really was about the only one with a legit animal in it; I was thinking I would be using a snowman with a wee little bird until I came across this!!
I coloured the image with Lyras & Prismacolor using mineral spirits, still trying to get the hang of it; but I do find I really enjoy colouring with them.
I added candy cane Stickles for the balls on the tree & silver stickles for the garland. On his noise and the star I used Crystal effects to give it some shine.
The CB is white cs from Papertrey and the DS paper is from Scenic Route called Garland. I layered it and the image on SU's Riding Hood Red. To finish off the image I added a Ghost Snowflake with a 5mm red Bella Bonbon

A tough challenge...
My friend Janet at Corrosive Creations started a challenge blog (the corrosive challenge blog) and I like to play along but this weeks challenge of "under the sea" was really hard because I don't have any stamps of things "under" the sea SO I made my card about a pond or lagoon close to the sea :)
For my card I used the new Froggy Ketto from Stamping Bella. This stamp comes with both sizes so I decided to have to friends sitting on a lily pad enjoying the day. For the lily pad I used Stamping Bella's new grounder oval shadow stamp with Versamark dazzle ink and cut the image out.
The froggys are coloured with lyras & mineral spirits and then I added some crystal effects for their eyes. On the crown and edges of the points I added some stickles. The sentiment is also from Stamping bella and I added bella crystal light baubles.

Thanks for another great challenge Janet; you must be super excited about your trip to Boston tomorrow to see Karen!
Hope you all have a great Sunday - here in Calgary on this 3rd day of spring we have received at least 6" of snow and it's still coming down! Hubby is suppose to fly out later today; glad it's him & not me because everything will be way behind schedule - I will be staying in my house until I have do the the 2nd round of shovelling when it finally stops snowing & blowing. Yep I am really missing the east today especially since my head told me the storm was arriving before it did!

A new Challenge
I am really excited my friend Janet (Corrosive Creations by Janet) has started her own challenge blog (The Corrosive Challenge Blog)!!! Her first challenge came out today (March 1st)
Dana
For this card I used Stamping Bella's solid flowery weeds stamp. I used makers and used both pumpkin and bashful blue for the flowers and old olive for the weeds. To give the flowers some shine I added some stickles.
The image is cut with rectangle nesties and mounted on pumpkin pie cs that was embossed with a sizzix texuture plate. I added some ribbon in both olive and bashful blue then added some stamping bella dots in crackle orange.
Make sure you check out Janet's challenge blog; she will have new challenges each week and each month all participants will be entered in a blog candy draw BUT because she is so excited she is offering blog candy each WEEK this month!!!
YEAH JANET!!! Thanks for stopping by,
Dana
