Congratulations

It's Saturday and time for another Sweet Stop Sketch challenge (SSS58)  Our niece is graduating from High School this year so I wanted to get her card made.  She's already had the ceremony; which seems odd to me since she still has to write exams etc, but I grew up in a small town where there was only 1 high school so there was no worries of events conflicting with other schools or facilities!

The image I used is a digi image from The Greeting Farm - Grad Anya.  I printed her onto bella's bestest paper & coloured her with copics.  I chose purple because our niece loves purple.  Once I had the image coloured I had to find paper (I usually pick my paper then colours)  I was happy to find this paper from Kaiser Krafts Utopia line in my stash!  The sentiment is from MFT's Essential Sentiments and it's stamped on the ds paper.  I added some prima flowers and some purple and turquoise tiny rhinestones.

Please stop by The Sweet Stop blog to see what the rest of the Sugar Babies have created and I hope you can play along with us this week

Thanks for stopping by ~

Reminds Me of...

When I saw this digi stamp from The Greeting Farm I had to buy it because Audrey was totally me when I was little. My poor Mom had 3 boys, finally her little girl & I was happier in anything but a dress!! Really I still live in jeans until it's shorts season & I do love my baseball caps! I also love her tongue sticking out; another thing I did as a kid with 3 older brothers!!

I played along with Monday Mania over on Club Anya; it was a sketch & I {heart} sketches! Not only did you have to play along with the sketch but you add to add elements; I chose sewing and embossing.

Audrey is coloured with copics and cut with an oval nesties. For the snaps on her cap I used some of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles. I also added black twinkles to the snaps on her pants. The ds paper is My Minds Eye Abbey Road. I didn't want the card too girlie & I wanted a orange cap since my favourite hockey team has a lot of orange in their team colours

Thanks for stopping by,

Dana

Who Wants to Snuggle?!

Yesterday my new stamps arrived from The Greeting Farm & I had to ink one up right away - I love the Hope & Grace series of stamps!

For my inspiration I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC63) and inked up HG Snuggle. The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I added some red stickles to her bow and the dots on her dress. I out lined the hearts on her dress with a black atyou spica pen.

The DS paper is from Pink Paislee cupid collection, as is the brad. The CS is all SU's chocolate chip, certainly celery & blush blossom (a colour I hardly ever used while demonstrating & now I am loving it!!)

I hope you have all recovered from the Olympics; I am trying to get back into a routine (not that I had a very strict one before the games!!)

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day

Rain, Rain

Well it appears they don't have to worry about the rain anymore at the Vancouver Olympics; just record breaking warm temps - how crazy is that?!

For my inspiration I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC61) I just bought this sweet digi image from The Greeting Farm and had to colour her up. I printed the WS Rain, Rain digi on neenah paper and coloured it with copics. I wanted a plastic rain jacket & hat look so I then coloured her coat, hat & boots with a clear glaze pen. I added some orange rhinestones for the buttons; they weren't the exact orange as the coat so I coloured them with a copic marker. The DS paper is from My Minds Eye's Oh La La collection.

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day!!

Warm enough for a vest!

I made this card in honour of our weather - it's warming up so you could just wear a sweater & a vest!! The boots you may want still because the snow is finally starting to melt!

Miss Anya Autumn from the Greeting Farm is printed on Neenah paper and coloured with copics. I used a green atyou spica pen on the ribbons in her hair. The cs is riding hood red and baja breeze; sorry the ds is from my scrap bin (but I am pleased that I actually used some!!) I paper pierced around the ds paper and added the navy ribbon and button

Thanks for stopping by - have a great day!!

Laundry Day

When I saw this stamp on the Greeting Farms website I knew I had to have her; this is how I felt yesterday with laundry, ironing and trying to get my Christmas decorations up!

I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC50) and stamped HG Laundry with mementos ink and coloured her with copics. I paper pieced her hairpiece and used my black glaze pen to make the polka dots stand out. For the laundry I used my clear glaze pen on the laundry basket and my atyou spica pitch black pen on some of the laundry.
The paper is all from my July Key ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions. I added some clear rhinestones in the corner

Thanks for stopping by - don't forget the Bella Birthday bash blog hop is tomorrow at 10:00 am CST and I am so excited because I have a little sneaky peak of the Stamping Bella release on Dec 7 to show you on the hop!

HELLO IAN

I have seen so many of these Greeting Farm stamps on blogs & Janet is a huge fan of their Anya stamps so when I was placing and order from StampinandScrappin I added Hello Ian onto my order & I have to say I had a lot of fun colouring him!!

Hello Ian is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink on Gina K's Pure Luxury paper and he is coloured with copics. I paper pieced his hat and scarf; the DS paper is Basic Greys Marrakech. His flower is coloured; the center is again the Marrakech DS paper and I used a gelly roll pen to give some sparkle to the center of the flower.

The card base is SU's Tempting Turquoise and the DS paper is again from teh Marrakech line; it is layered on SU's chocolate chip card stock. Teh image is cut with a rectangle nesties and layered on a solid cs from the Basic Grey Marrkech

I wanted to keep this as a boy card so I didn't add any embellishments PLUS I wanted the stamp to be the main focus

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day!
