Delicate Peony

I've been "collecting" so many stamps and dies over the past while (ok years) and I'm finally getting them inked!  For todays cards I used Birch Presses Delicate Peony stamp and die which I purchased at my local scrapbooking store BUT Simon Says Stamps also carries it.

The first two layers of the flowers are stamped with abandoned coral then wild honey distress inks.  The third layer was stamped with candied apple distress inks then embossed with angel wings gold embossing powder.  The leaves are stamped with twisted citron then peeled paint distress inks.  I then used the corresponding dies to cut the flowers.   For the back ground I used broken china and wild honey distress inks then blotted with a damp micro fibre cloth.  The layer was then cut with MFT's Wonky Stitch dies.  The sentiment is from MFT's Because you.

I used the same back ground on the inside and again used the wonky stitch dies and a sentiment from the Because you set.

Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you have a fabulous day!!

The Final Christmas Cards….

Even with my mass production card this year I was short a few holiday cards, here are the final two  I made.

The first is with  a sweet stamp set I bought this summer from Darcie's called Season to Jingle

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cards stock and coloured with pencils blended with mineral spirits.  The dp is MME's Mistletoe Magic.  For the sentiment banner I used MFT's Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax.

For the second card I again inked up MFT's Pure Innocence Trim the Branches Snowman.

The image was stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and stamped it onto bella's bestest white card stock.  I coloured this image with copics.  Again the dp is MME's Mistletoe Magic and I paper pieced his scarf and hat.  For the snow on the ground I used Decor Arts Glistening snow Writer.

I want to wish everyone the very best this holiday season and I hope you are able to spend time with family and friends

Merry Christmas!!

Getting Muddy

Happy Saturday - ti's time for another Sweet Stop Sketch(SSS63) & this weeks was fantastic (really I love them all!!)  Maybe it's because I am trying to embrace my garden (it was here when we moved in & I am learning lots this year!) I had to ink up Mud Buddies from MFT's Pure Innocence collection!

The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I coloured her boots, paper pieced them and used a clear glaze pen on them.  In the centre of the flowers I added some purple tiny twinkles.  The DS paper is from kaiser kraft's utopia collection.  I sewed the ds paper onto the perfect plum cs & it's all layered on pale plum.

Please stop by the Sweet Stop Blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations & I hope you can play along with the

Thanks for stopping by &  I hope you have a great weekend & a great long weekend to all of you girls south of the border!!

Tree Swing

I love this image from MFT's Pure Innocence line.  The little boy reminds me of my brother (although they had a little more hair) swinging on the trees in the summer at our cabin.

I used this week Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC71) for my inspiration.  The image is stamped with memento's ink and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced his overalls and the leaves, which I only glued at the bottom so they lift off the paper.

The ds paper is from Pink Paislee's 365 degrees 6x6 pad layered on soft sky and pumpkin pie cs.  I paper pierced around the layers and added the silver buttons on his overalls by using a silver atyou spica pen.  I used a gold atyou spica along parts of the rope.

Hope you have a great Wednesday - thanks for stopping by

Sketch plus 3 Challenge

When I first started stamping I stalked Joanne B's blog & was always inspired by her amazing cards.  When my BFF moved to the states she was introduced to Joanne by Em from Stamping Bella and when I went to visit I got to meet Joanne - for me she's a rock star so I was SOOOO excited!  Joanne is as sweet as you can imagine (and teeny tiny!!) she told me I wasn't allowed to just "stalk" her blog but to say hi every once in awhile :)

Joanne is now celebrating that her blog has been visited a half million times - WOW!!  She really is a rock star (or stamping star)  She has a great challenge going this week - a sketch plus 3.  Click here for all the details.

I inked up one of my PI stamps from MFT (they are so sweet!) called my umbrella and stamped the image on bella's bestest cream paper.  The image is coloured with copics, and I paper pieced her umbrella and her boots. (1st check on my plus 3).  I added some gingham patterned paper from quite contrary (2nd check on plus 3) and I sewed around the edges of the baja breeze card stock and the pattern paper all from my minds eye quite contrary (check 3 on plus 3)  I then managed to add two more of the choices - bling and kraft paper!!  The scallop punch along the bottom is from EK success and I added some tiny rhinestones along the bottom.

With using the Kraft paper I also played along with Jeanie's Krafty Thursday this week (TKT27)

I hope you have a chance to play along with Joanne's sketch plus 3 challenge it is so amazing that she has had half a million visits to her blog; she is one talented  sistah!!

A Blooming Good Day

I hope that's what you all have! It's time for another Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS53) and I chose to ink up one of my very neglected Pure Innocence stamps - Blooming Good Day

The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. The ds paper is Basic Greys Kioshi, I used one of the patterns for her dress which is paper pieced. The watering can is also paper pieced and I used a clear glaze pen to give it some shine. The flower is popped up.

For the water I used star dust stickles and in the centre of the flower I used Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in purple. I took the centres out of the prima flowers and used the same purple twinkle in the centres.

Please stop by the Sweet Stop Blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations and I hope you can play along with us this week
