Perfect Sentiments: "Anything Goes with a Die Cut and a Sentiment"

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another Perfect Sentmients challenge!

"Anything Goes with a Die Cut and a Sentiment"

The challenge: create a card for the occasion of your choice
The twist: you must include a die cut and sentiment

Our challenge this week is sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  The winner will recieve 7 free digis!

For this challenge I created a thank you card.  The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made from white cardstock.  I cut some black cardstock at 5 1/4"x4" and some yellow floral paper at 5 1/8"x3 7/8."  I stamped the "thank you" phrase multiple times across the left side of the yellow floral paper.  The stamp is from Fiskars.  And I adhered three black pearls on the lower right hand side.
I used a Spellbinders Nestabilities die for the black and yellow labels. I embossed the yellow layer with the Baby's Breath embossing folder.  The bee is from Home Decor and is cut at 3."  I sprayed the black layer with some sparkle Shimmer Mist.  I adhered the bee to the card with foam tape.

I finished the inside of the card in a similar fashion to the outside.  I cut some black cardstock at 5 1/4"x4" and some yellow floral paper at 5"x3 3/4."  I cut another piece of black cardstock at 4"x2 3/4" and finally some white cardstock at 3 7/8"x2 5/8."

Now that you've seen my inspiration head on over to The Perfect Sentiment and check out what the rest of the design team has for their inspiration.  Then be sure to link up your card.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Queen for a Day

I used silver cardstock to create the base for this 4 1/2"x6 1/4" card. I cut a piece of glittery purple cardstock 1/8" smaller, then trimmed out the corners. I adhered some purple organdy ribbon on the left side and added some small white pearls to the cut-outs in the corners. The crown is cut from Home Decor at 2 1/2," using both the regular and shadow feature. I matted it on some glittery white cardstock, cut at 3"x5 1/2," and some silver cardstock cut 1/8" larger. I used a corner rounder on those two pieces. I adhered that over the ribbon. For the inside of the card I cut a piece of glittery purple cardstock 1/8" smaller than the card base and some white cardstock 1/8" smaller than the purple. I then used Once Upon a Princess and the sentiment, "Queen 4 a Day," using the phrase feature, at 2 1/4" from silver cardstock. I finished off my card with a lot of bling on the crown, because a crown just HAS to have bling! I made this card for these challenges:

Daddy's Girl

This is a two page layout I did for a few challenges. Cooking With Cricut's challenge is to have at least three flowers on your project. They have a twist though, you can use either of the sketches they have, one for a two page layout and one for a card. The sketches are optional, but I decided to give the layout one a try. I've never used a sketch to create a layout before, so this was fun. I also made this using the color combo provided by Color Throwdown: pear pizzazz, kraft & blushing bride. The challenge at Crafty Creations Challenge is to include birds, polka dots and the color green on your project.

The pages are 12"x12." I used kraft cardstock for the background. The large oval that is split between the two pages is from George and Basic Shapes and is cut at 10" from a green polka dot cardstock. The pink strips are 12"x2 1/2." The birds are both from Home Decor. The one on the left page is cut at 5." I used green cardstock and cut the bird using the shadow feature. I then cut the bird normally from a pale pink polka dot paper. The bird on the right page is cut at 3 1/2" with the green cardstock and the shadow feature, then regularly with the pink polka dot paper. I cut the legs off this bird though. I used eucalyptus Stickles to fill in all the green cardstock on the bird. The flowers are from Shall We Dance. The flower on the left is cut at 3 1/2" and the bunch on the right are cut at 5 1/2." I ran the leaves of the bunch through the Cuttlebug using the Polka Dot embossing folder. The title is from Hannah Montana, cut at 2 1/2." I used cotton candy Stickles on the "girl." The picture mats are cut at 1/4" larger than the previous layer. On the left page: the top mat is for a 4"x6" picture, the bottom left mat is for a 4"x4" picture and the bottom right mat is for a 3"x5" picture. On the right page: the top mat is for a 4"x6" picture and the bottom three are for 3"x3" pictures. Everything is adhered down to the background with my ATG gun, except the birds, which are pop-dotted.

Winter Wonderland

This is my entry for the weekly challenge on Cricut Circle Blog. Their challenge is "Feeling Frosty." They asked you to incorporate white paint, metal and a snowflake cut on your project; you also need to use at least two Cricut cuts on it as well.

I decided to make a wall plaque for winter. I took a wooden plaque and painted it white. I then cut various snowflakes, ranging in size from 1 1/4" to 2 1/4." I cut them from: A Child's Year, Accent Essentials, Christmas, Designer's Calendar and Graphically Speaking. I adhered the snowflakes down to the plaque, then painted over it again with white paint. I painted the edge of the plaque with a silver glitter paint from Folk Art. I used Winter Woodland for the tree branch, which I cut at 4 1/4. I used a snow writer for the snow on the pinecone. The bird is from Home Decor. I used a dark blue for the regular bird and some craft metal for the blackout version of the bird. I also used Winter Woodland for the sentiment. I used a satin Mod Podge to cover the whole plaque. I attached a ribbon to the back and tied it in a bow so that I could hang the plaque. I finished it off with a small metal jingle bell charm tied in the middle of the bow.
