Here is the Christmas card I made using George and Basic Shapes. I used a pre-made A2 card as my base. I took a piece of gold cardstock and tore it at one end and put some red bling at the top. I then used George and Basic Shapes to cut the circles and the letters out of dark green and red cardstock.

We Found a Home
Well, my husband and I looked at a lot of houses last week and we found one we liked, so we made an offer. The seller's countered and we accepted. We have our home inspection this week, and depending on what the report is we will be on our way to closing on the house. :) I can't wait until this is all done with so that I can get my craft supplies unpacked and I can start creating again. I feel so deprived right now, since I can't craft.

Chrsitmas Cards
I have been lax in posting on my blog recently. However, I have been quite busy. I've been driving for about a week, with a four day break in Washington for a wedding and visiting friends and family. I have been back in Minnesota, staying with my in-laws, for about three days now. My husband and I will be looking for a place to live next week. The rest of our household goods should also be coming in next week. I can't wait to get my Cricut unpacked and to start creating again. In the meantime, here are some more Christmas cards of mine.
These two cards are using the two cartridges that come with the Cricut Expresssion. The first one is using Plantin Schoolbook. I made it a long card and cut the forest to fit the length. The reed and white stripe at the top was cut using my straight paper cutter. The stars and sentiment are stickers and I added some Stickles to one of the trees.
This card is from Accent Essentials. The card is 6"x6" square. I used some snowy looking paper for the background. I found some soild paper in my stash that were the perfect colors to add as an accent and some ribbon in my stash that mimicked the falling snow look. The snowflake was cut from Accent Essentials. I used a stamp from my stash to finish it off. I like how this one doesn't use any traditional colors, but just really feels like winter.

Christmas Cards from Licensed Cartridges
Since I've already shown my Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse cards I figure I will post the other cards I have made using my licensed cartridges.
The card on the left is from Cars. I was wondering what to do with this cartridge, until I remembered Filmore and all his peace signs. The card on the right is from Hannah Montana. This was a cartridge I almost didn't buy, but I really liked a lot of the fonts on it. I used one of the fonts and the frame is from the cartridge as well. Finally, the card on the bottom is from Sesame Street Friends cartridge. I used Super Grover and the inside of the card says, "Have a SUPER Christmas!"

Back in the US
Well, I made it back into the US and I am currently in Washington, visiting some friends and family. We did have some troubles along the way. In northern British Columbia we hit a lot of snow. My husband was driving our truck and hauling a 16' trailer that was loaded with about 3,000-4,000 pounds of stuff. All of a sudden the trailer started fishtailing and then jackknifed. The trailer spun the truck around and the truck hit the ditch. It was at a severe angle, but the trailer managed to stay on the road. We were lucky in that none of our stuff was damaged and the frame and hitch were not bent or twisted. The only damage to the truck was a crack in the bumper and a dent in the trailer. That is enough adventure for us, hopefully the rest of the trip will be uneventful.
I thought it was about time for some more of my Christmas cards since I haven't posted in a while. Since I did some Winnie the Pooh cards last time I will do my Mickey Mouse cards this time.
This card with Donald and Daisy was made using the Mickey & Friends cartridge. I also used the 50 State cartridge for the mistletoe. The card is 5"x7." I made it large so that I could make the image a little bit larger, since all those little pieces can be difficult. I believe I cut them out at about 3 1/2." The inside of the card says, "Merry Kiss-mas!"
The other card was made using the Mickey Font cartridge. The card is 4 1/2"x6 1/4." I cut Mickey and Minnie's faces out at 2." The "merry christmas" sentiment is also cut using the font from the cartridge. It is a pretty simple card, just dressed up with fun patterned papers and some Stickles.

Hello from British Columbia
We are on day 3 of our move from Alaska to Minnesota. We left on Monday, October 4th from North Pole. We stayed in Haines Junction, Yukon Territory that first night. We woke up to snow! So much for beating the snow. It didn't last long though, but it was a fairly wet day with rain replacing the snow. Last night we made it to Tatogga Lake Resort in British Columbia. It is about 10 miles south of Iskut, BC. If anyone wants to attempt to find it, follow the Alaska Highway (Highway 1) until it meets the Cassiar Highway (Highway 37), just west of Watson Lake. Follow the Cassiar south and you will come across it eventually. I'm not sure where we hope to get to tonight, but we are making good time. I miss making crafts, but I am quite occupied with driving. Hopefully I will be able to post again soon, but it really all depends on where we stay.

Winnie the Pooh Cards
These are the cards I made using my Winnie the Pooh cartridges. The top one is from Pooh and Friends. I used the frame feature for the card, it is about 5"x5" square. I cut out the peeking Pooh to peek over the frame and also cut out the Pooh snowman. I don't remember the sizes of the cuts though. The Santa hat that Pooh is wearing is also from the cartridge, I do know I had to play with size on that one to get it to fit his head. The bottom card is from the Pooh Font Set cartridge. The napping Pooh and the font are both from that cartridge. The card is 4 1/2"x4 1/2." The background paper is by Debbie Mumm and I thought it was perfect for the sentiment I was thinking of. I wish I was more help on sizes, but I made these so long ago that I just don't remember, and I can't pull them out and measure the sizes because they are all packed up. I hope you enjoy them regardless! :)
