Sad Day....

Hi Friends~
I hope you are all having a great week.  Unfortunately today is a sad day!  Today our friend says goodbye to his sister.  She was taken from us this past Friday due to a car accident.  At 23 years old she had her whole life ahead of her and was taken too soon from Earth....she was planning her wedding for this fall....and besides her wonderful family and fiance she leaves behind a 1 year old daughter.  If you could all say an extra prayer today for the family that they find peace as they say good-bye to their love one that is greatly appreciated.

Today I am sharing the sympathy card that I made for the family:
This card is made using the Verve Forever in Our Hearts stamp set.  I love the peace and serenity that this set offers.  Papers are from MME Stella Rose the Hazel Collection.  I've also used some of the fabulous and gorgeous lace from Wild Orchid.  The pearls accenting the image and sentiment are the fabulous self adhesive pearls.....gotta love being able to match your colors of pearls exactly to your card color scheme....make sure you check out the amazing color selection that Wild Orchid carries in both self adhesive pearls and rhinestones.
Image has been cut out using a Circle Nestie and then airbrushed using Copics.  I've accented the tree using my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid and the arrangement consists of:  a Hellebores, Calla Lily Stems, Gypsophila, 15mm Rose, 10mm Rose, 4mm Closed Rosebuds.
And here is the finished inside...using some more of the fabulous MME Stella Rose the Hazel Collection papers and another sentiment from the stamp set.

May you rest in peace Jennifer!
This is a picture that one of her classmates put together.  She will definitely be missed!

TIOT #76 - Clean and Simple

Happy Thursday night everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful day!  YAY tomorrow is Friday...too bad I have to go to a funeral :(  Our best friend's Grandma passed away this week so I will be going to spend some time with him and his family.  Today's card is the card that I made for the family.  It also is my sample for this week's TIO*T* card!!!  Suzanne has challenged us to make a clean and simple card with just white/cream and one extra pop of color....now your image can be multi-colored.  Of course this was a little tough for me as I don't think it's in my blood to make a simple card...hee hee!
For my card I have used the NEW Just For You by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD that is from the Sampler Edition #5.  This stamp is gorgeous...I absolutely love the swirls on the vase!  This stamp can be perfect for any occasion...birthday, thinking of you, invitation, you name it!  Of course you can see that I've used blue for my pop of color.  I've used a Sizzix embossing folder for the back panel.  Corners were jazzed up with my Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen.
The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and then colored with Copics.  I've cut the image out with my Spellbinders Oval die, and the pansy background was made with my MS border punch.  The main image was edged with my Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram.
Flower are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts!  All flowers were white and then I airbrushed them to match the color blue from my cardstock.  I've used 8mm semi-open roses, 10mm roses, and a 30mm wild rose.  All flowers have been accented with Star Dust Stickles.
Finally is another view of the beautiful vase!  From this angle I am hoping that you can see the shimmer to my image.  After coloring with Copics I then went over the image with various Twinkling H2Os to add that shimmer to the image!

I hope you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what amazing creations the other DT members have made!!!  They are all stunning!  I also have a fun tutorial for SCACD coming up soon and you don't want to miss it!

In Memory Of...

Here is a card that I made for our friend's family. His Grandma passed away a week ago after battling cancer for 5 years. Joyce was such a lovely lady and we miss her dearly, however, we are glad to know that she is no longer suffering anymore. My hubby and I are very close to the whole family so there was a lot of love put into making this card. If you look close I made an angel hatpin in the collection of flowers on the left. I love how the BG Wisteria paper looks so elegant. The sentiment was a verse that I found on the internet and made on my computer.

Well yesterday we got back from our mini vacation for my hubby's convention. Now, today we leave for my family's yearly camping trip! YAY....it's going to be so much fun!!!! We borrowed our friend's camper and got it packed last night. Now it's just to finish packing my clothes and bathroom stuff. Oh how I hate packing, especially because I hardly even got unpacked yet! Hopefully the weather is good for this weekend. We are supposed to get some big storms tonight (EEEEEKKKK)!!!! Hopefully after tonight all the storms are out of the way! Talk to you all on Monday!!! I will try to get another post scheduled for this weekend to keep you company while I am away! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!
