Spread your wings and fly.....

As promised, I have a SCACD Fairy card to share with you tonight!  This is Friendship Rose from the Fall Flora Fairies Set.
After I colored her I realized that I colored her almost exactly as when I made -->this card<-- with her!  I've made my shaped card using a Go Kreate die.  Papers are from the Memory Box Rhubarb Tart Collection (which is currently 20% off at SCACD).
Friendship Rose was colored with Copics and pastel pencils.  Her wings and hair bow were glitzed with Star Dust Stickles.  The dew drops on her dress were made with my Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel Pen...love the dimension one gets from using Viva Decor products!  This cutie was popped up onto a SB Labels Six that was embossed with the Craft Concepts Carved Rose embossing folder.  Then I used my SB Tags 2 to make the flourished frame.
Wild Orchid Crafts flower arrangement consists of: Rose from the Organza Rose Trim, 25mm Roses, 20mm Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms, Gyposphila, and Small sequin butterflies.
The Rose was colored with Copics and pastel pencils.  This gorgeous rose stamp comes along with Friendship Rose!  Two stamps for the price of one...gotta love that!  All of the fairies in the Fall and Spring Flora Fairy Stamp Sets come with a free flower stamp!
And one more angled view for dimension!  Now spread your wings and let your inner fairy fly......head over to the SCACD store to get your very own BRAND NEW Spring Flora Fairy Stamp Set and while you are there make sure you pick up a set of the Fall Flora Fairies too!  They are all so adorable and very versatile!

Dancing the Night Away

Do you all have plans for the New Year?  My hubby and I will be celebrating at home, as my hubby has been busy working with no end in sight.  Which is ok with me because I have been studying studying and even more studying this past week.  I take my next CPA exam on Jan. 3rd....eeek!  Hoping to pass this one!  Yesterday I took a couple hours away from my book and decided to color for a bit.
This is my entry for the Color Me Creative - Holiday Color Challenge which was to use Gold, White & Cream!  I had so much fun making this card.....and can you believe I used NO dp?!  I was in awe myself!  I was searching high and low for the perfect gold/cream/white dp and couldn't find what I wanted so I decided to make my own!  The glittlery cream cardstock is from DCWV, and then I found some metallic gold cardstock and finally I made my own dp!  My dp was made using Brilliance Gold Ink, a Sizzix embossing folder and some white cardstock.  And I love how it turned out!  My dp was decorated using my SB Edgeabilities (Classic Ric Rac and Classic Scallops) and finished off with some May Arts Lacey Ribbon.  Sentiment is from PTI Mega Mixed Messages and was embossed using TH Gold Embossing powder.
This cutie is Happy Days by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD and she is a part of the Odds & Ends Sampler.  I love this collection to pieces!  Miss. Happy Days was colored with Copics and accented with my pastel pencils.  Her shoes, sweater cuffs, hair ties, and shirt got a gorgeous coat of Diamond Stickles.  Her belt buckle was accented using my Gold Spica Pen.

Copic Colors Used: skirt/shirt/shoes/belt: YR20, YR24, Y15, Y26, Y28, Jacket: Y21, Y26, Y32, Hair: E33, E53, E57, E59, skin: E000, E00, E11, R11, R20.
Wild Orchid Crafts arrangement was made using a 35mm Trellis Rose, 25mm Wild Rose, 15mm Roses, 10mm Rose, 8mm Semi-opened Roses, Gold Glitter Holly Berries, Gypsophilas, Gold Heart Pin, and Decorative Crown pin.  Flowers were glittered with Diamond Stickles because I love the gold sparkle that this leaves.  And finally the arrangements was finished with some Zva Creative Gold Rhinestone Swirls.
And one more angled view so you can see all the shimmer, glitter, sparkle, and dimension!  I hope you have enjoyed my creation!

Wishing you and your family
a Very Happy New Years!

Happy Hunting

Here in Wisconsin we are right in the middle of Blaze Orange Season....otherwise known as Deer Hunting Season.  I had made a gun shaped card for my father-in-law for his birthday so I thought now would be a great time to share :)
My hubby and father-in-law like guns so when I was brain storming for a birthday card for my father-in-law I was wondering if it would be even possible to attempt to make a gun shaped card.  I asked my hubby what type of gun FIL liked and my hubby found the below picture on the internet for me:
Now I'm a total girlie girl and know NOTHING about guns.....So with this pictures printed off of the internet I set out to try and make my card.  I was sooooo excited with how the finishing product turned out!
The only items I used to make this card were black and brown cardstock, foam tape, pastel pencils and a metal screw brad.  There are many layers that have been popped up to make my gun appear realistic.  The shading to make the gun appear metal was done with pastel pencils in black, gray, and white on black cardstock.  And the handle was brown cardstock with the same shading from pastel pencils and the  brad to finish it off.
And here is what the inside of the card looks like.  I used my silver pen to write the message.  Don't you just love how when you have an idea in your head and it turns out even better when you are finished?  I hope you like my shaped card.  I would love to hear your comments on it!

To all my friends in the United States, I hope that you have a:
Very Blessed Thanksgiving!
I am so thankful for all my crafting friends in blogland!  You all mean so much to me!

P.S.....you might want to make sure you stop back here this weekend....
I have a feeling there might be some candy involved! :)

I'm hoping that you are all loving the Peeker Sneak Peeks! Don't forget to check the SCACD Blog daily to find out who is showing the next Peeker and for your chance to win some stamps!  Today, as promised, I am happy to share with you the gift that I made with yesterday's card.
When I saw Mama's Purse Peeker I just knew that I had to make a purse to go along with this cutie pie!  I used some more of my  Kaisercraft Chapter One Collection papers.  Added some rhinestone swirls, ribbon, and a beautiful button to finish.
I found the template for my purse, here.  Surprisingly this was very easy to put together too!
The purse is held shut with a magnet and is perfect to house a gift card to give to someone special!  I hope that you have enjoyed my gift set!  Thanks again to everyone who left me comments yesterday, all of your kind words truly make my day!

SURPRISE....It's A New Day Blog Hop!

Happy Friday Everyone!  I hope you all had a FABULOUS week and are gearing up for the weekend!  For those of you who got hammered with the snowstorm I hope you are finally able to dig out from all that snow!  I can't imagine 2 feet of snow...YIKES!  I hope those of you who were traveling (especially Marti and Suzanne who were at CHA) are now home safe and sound!

This weekend we are gearing up for the SUPER BOWL....I tell you I am not a huge football girl but when the GREEN BAY PACKERS are in the Super Bowl you can bet that I will be watching...for those of you who don't know I only live an hour away from Green Bay...I work and go to school in Green Bay so I am a true fan!!!!  I have my Rodger's jersey all set to wear that day...hopefully I can get all my homework done before the big game!

Now onto my fun for today....soooo DID YOU HEAR.....
SCACD has some FANTASTIC NEW STAMPS available today!  OMG these are all adorable and I tell ya I have been coloring like crazy having so much fun with all of these newbies!  Sooooo......if you are here from the fabulous Elaine's Blog then you are in the correct spot!  If not....head over to the SCACD Blog to start at the beginning of our fantastic hop....TRUST ME you don't want to miss a stop along the hop!  Plus there are prizes to be won!!!
This little girl is near and dear to my heart!  I am so happy to introduce you to Kim in Awe by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! She is a part of the Spring Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! Isn't she precious?  I am so thrilled and excited to tell you that this cutie pie was named after moi!  I was thrilled beyond words when Susana told me that this sweetie was named after me!  Isn't she sooooo cute how she's exploring new things....yep takes after me....as I love exploring new things...from the wonderful world of accounting, to different crafting items, to books....everything I tell ya!  So that is the story behind Kim! ;)  Thanks again Susana...you truly have blessed me with your friendship (heart ya lots!)

Now, enough of my babbling in excitement and back to my card!  The papers are from the wonderful Bo Bunny Crazy Love (hurry and get yours as it's 15% off right now!)  I love this pad as it's all full of brown and pink combinations....as many of you know my favorite color combo!  lol!
Kim in Awe as been colored with Copics and accented with a White Gel Pen.  I also too my Sakura star dust pen and accented the folds in her dress and on her bow to add a soft subtle glimmer to the image!  The background has been airbrushed with my Copic ABS while it was still in the SB Labels 9 die to get the crisp white edge!
Flower arrangement 1 consists of a 30mm Wild Rose, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 8mm semi-opened rosebuds, and 4mm closed rosebuds.
I felt this sentiment fit this card so beautifully!  I truly believe that it is the little things in the life that matter the most....I have to remind myself of that all of the time...It's the I Love Yous and Hugs and Kisses that matter the most in life!  And it's so funny how little things can trigger such wonderful memories!!!!  The little flower that you see on the sentiment is an embellishment that I have made myself!  This beautiful flower as been made with Clay!  I've used the Hearty Lightweight Air Dry Clay that Susana carries!  This stuff is absolutely AMAZING and easy to work with!  At first when I got it I was thinking it was going to be hard to use....but it's so fun and easy and LOVE it for embellishments because when it dries (I let mine dry overnight)it really is lightweight...I think my paper flowers are way more heavy then the clay!  I found my flower mold on etsy but Susana has some SUPER FUN products for clay which you can find, -->here<--Then I took my Viva Decor Lilac Pearl Pen (of course after the clay is dry) and coated the clay to make it colorful!  My next venture is to try the AMAZING Viva Decor Percious Metal Paints on the clay...I think this will be out of this world gorgeous!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my card and my namesake stamp!  The layout and design of my card was inspiration from the fabulously talented Claudia Rosa!  I so adore her work and you can find the card that she made that inspired me here.

Now if that wasn't enough I have ONE MORE card to share with you today!  By now you are probably getting sick of reading my LONGGGG post....but trust me....if you hang in there until the end you will be pleasently surprised....as I think there's a chance to win some fabulous candy....*wink wink*
This card features Celebrate by Victoria Case for SCACD!  Oh my word is this such a fun stamp!  I seriously have tons of ideas floating around in my head of what I want to create with this stamp yet!  The possibilities are truly endless....it can be used for a wedding card, birthday card, anniversary card, graduation card....or in this case a Welcome Baby Card!  Our friends are pregnant with twin boys....we are so excited for them!  She is due in April and I already have her Baby Card made for the arrival of little Blake and Alex!  Papers I have used are from K&Company, .but you really need to check out the fun Best Creations Paper Packs that Susana has at the store...they are full of glittery goodness!  I am soooo ordering mine this weekend!!!  I think the Safari Boy and Safari Girl would sure make cute baby cards with this Celebrate stamp!
The image has been colored with Copics and accented with lots of fun products!  The swirls have been accented with my Sakura star dust pen again for that soft subtle glittery effect.  Then I have used Illuminate Smooch on the hearts on the bottom tier of the cake and the circles on the top tier!  (Don't forget Susana has the BRAND NEW Smooch colors available now too!)  The bottom tier pearls were accented with my Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen and the ruffle was glittered up with my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner!  The centers of the flower and the candle flame were shined up with my Viva Decor Sunny Yellow Gloss Pen.  And finally the top melted wax on the candle was "frosted" with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen to make it look like the candle was really melting.
Then to make this image even MORE fun I I stamped it 3 times and dimensionalized the cake! As you can see the bottom tier is popped up 2 times, the middle layer and top layer are both popped up once.  One of the little flowers on top was also popped up to make it look like it was hanging over the top cake layer!  I hope I have inspired you!  I soooo can't wait to create some of the other fun ideas I have for this cake and of course to share them with all of you!
Flower arrangement 1 consists of a 25mm Wild Rose, cherry blossoms, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, and blue crystal stems.
Flower arrangement 2 consists of a 25mm Wild Rose, 15mm roses, and a stork charm.
And finally one more picture to share another view of the 3D-ness of the cake with you!  For those of you who have stayed with me through this super long post...I thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.....and as a reward....and because I am soooo excited to have a stamp named after me....I have some FUN CANDY that I am offering to you all!  I will be giving away a Kim in Awe stamp to one of my fantastic readers!  All you need to do to win is to comment on this post and tell me what is your favorite SCACD stamp that released today? I am so excited as I was asked to join the amazing Quixotic Paperie DT for an extra special blog hop for you today. We have all been playing with the lovely new Elisabeth Bell SCACD Winter Window Stamp and hope to give you lots of ideas for your Winter creations!

Christmas Is Coming

Make a Christmas card and/or gift and join in the challenge, you can see Quixotic Inspirations for all the details.

As soon as I saw this stamp I knew I had to have it and I wanted to make another "scene" card!  I used the "sister stamp" Day Dreaming, (which is the spring version of this stamp) in -->this post<-- where I made my first "scene" card!  The "siding" of the house was created using my Cuttlebug folder and TH Weathered Wood Distress Ink.
This cutie has been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen. Icicles were glammed up with Diamond Glaze and then Star Dust Stickles.  Snow was made with Liquid AppliqueMetallic Rub On in Walnut was used on window shutters to add a soft subtle shimmer!  Diamond Glaze was added to the windows to make them appear real.
Fence was made with my MS punch and then Liquid Applique was added for the snow.
The tree has also been winterized with Liquid Applique and snow banks were glitzed with Star Dust Stickles.  I hope you've enjoyed my Winter Window Scene card!

Remember for UK/ EU customers this beautiful stamp is available at Quixotic Paperie and if you're in the US/Canada you can buy it direct from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.

Your next stop is the fantastic Judy Laing.  Thanks very much for hoping by and enjoy the rest of the inspiration along the hop! Don't forget to join in the new challenge too...there is a fabulous prize up for grabs!

TIOT 84 - Anything But a Square

Happy Weekend!

I hope you are having some fun this weekend!  WOW another week of school has gone by!  This semester sure is flying by....must be because I am really enjoying my classes!  However, with a busy week full of homework means not a lot of crafty time. :(  I did finally get my TIO*T* card done for this week! YAY!  Suzanne has challenged us to create a card that is ANYTHING BUT A SQUARE!  Oh I love making fun shaped easel cards!!!  So I grabbed my SB Labels 11 and went to work!
The cutie on this card is one of the new Animapeeps from the newest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD collection....her name is Just Ducky.  Speaking on NEW....I have a bunch of NEW goodies on this card!  The wonderful papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather collection.  These papers are so beautiful....there are gorgeous holiday papers in here as well as papers that can be used for any occasion, like those that I've used on this card.  And my FAVORITE new tool  that I have used on this card is the Epiphany Crafts flower button maker!  See those oh so cute flower buttons....I made them myself with the papers from the Mitten Weather Cosmo Cricket collection!  I love how easy it was to make buttons that matched my project perfectly!  These makers are a dream to use, SUPER easy, and MEGA fun!  I think it took me less than 2 minutes to make both customized buttons!  You seriously need to get one of these!  I can't wait to use my solid round one now! :)
Isn't Just Ducky so adorable?  She seriously is a dream to color!  I've colored her with Copics and and then accented her with my TonerTex Pen and have used Diamond Glaze on her eyes.  I've used the TonerTex pen and Glitters on her hair bow and boots.  Then this sweetie's umbrella was accented using the TonerTex pen and Foils.  Love the holographic foils, they are so gorgeous!  Here you can see a close up of the Epiphany button too!
The bottom of the card holds a sentiment so this card can be used for any occasion, and again showcases the Epiphany button!
Finally, a side view to share the dimension and shine with you.  The umbrella has been double popped up so that it sits higher than Just Ducky.  I hope you have enjoyed my Anything But a Square card, make sure you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what my DT Sisters have made!  I hope you come back soon, as I have some more goodies to share with you soon!

TIOT - Viva Style

Happy Thursday my dear friends!  I hope you are having a joyous week!  Today is my final exam in my first summer class...TOOT TOOT!  I'm so excited.....one down and one more to go!  YIPPY!!!

Gimmie a "V".....gimmie a "I"....gimmie another "V"......gimmie a "A".....what does that spell?  VIVA!  This week's challenge over at the SCACD Blog is to use LOTS of Viva Decor Products on your projects!
Today I have a fun card to share with you and it's full of Viva!  If you don't know about the Viva Decor Products....you are in the right place because I have used 3 different VIVA products on my project for today!
I have used the wonderful Watering Can accessory stamp that is only available in the Hearts and Hugs - Summer Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD!  This stamp is so beautiful and perfect for any type of card!  I have more fun planned later this week with this stamp so make sure you stop back to see what other things you can make with this beauty!  Of course the image has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.
This is actually an easel card that I made using my Spellbinders Large Big Scallop Square nesties!  The matting has been made using the Large Scalloped Square and Large Square nesties. On the swirls and butterflies you will see lots of pearls...these were created with my Viva Decor Pearl Pens.  I have used the Lilac Pearl Pen on the butterflies and on the swirls I've used my Cream Pearl Pen.
Here you can see my flower arrangement made with a Prima Hydrangea decked out with Viva Decor Glitter Pen (Holo), and Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Along the edge of the image I've also used my Viva Decor Glitter Pen (Holo)...I love how this glitter liner keeps its shape and stands out!
Here is the bottom of the easel card.  I've used my Labels 9 nestie for the sentiment and again lined with my Viva Decor Glitter Liner (Holo).  The cute bow was of course made with my Bow Easy!  If you don't have this tool you NEED to get it....it's definitely a MUST HAVE in my book!  For only $5 this tool is so worth the money!  I would be LOST without mine!  I absolutely LOVE making bows now!
Finally here is an angle picture of my image.  Here you can see the "dew" that I created in my scene.  I took my Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Pen and added a few small drops on the flowers and leafs to create that "just watered" look.  Then I added more of this gloss to the top of the watering can to look as if the can is plump full with water, and finally finished with a little bit of this gloss on the tip of the spout for the "wet look."  I've also added some Illuminate Smooch to the butterfly, hearts, and centers of flowers for some extra sparkle.

I hope you've enjoyed my project!  Now I can't wait to see your projects with VIVA!!!  Make sure you link your creation -->here<--!

To Dad....From the Gang!

Happy Thursday!  I hope you are all enjoying your week...my first summer class is coming to a close next week...then only one more to go this summer!  YAY!  Today's my day for Try It Out Tuesday/Thursday over at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design.  This week's challenge is to create a project for Father's Day....and of course use a stamp from one of the lines that Susana carries in her store.  You can find them, -->here<--.
For my card I have used A Puppy is Love stamp from the newly released Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD!  I tried this fun Wood Frame Technique by Michelle, but I turned my version into a card.  The wood frame was made with my Labels Eight nesties, Oval nestie, and distressed stripes Cuttlebug folder.  Once the panels were embossed I went over each panel with TH Distress Inks in both brushed corduroy and walnut stain to give it that wood look.
This cutie was colored with my Copics and accented with my white gel pen.  I went over the little girl's eyes and both puppy dog's eyes with Diamond Glaze for the real life look.  The baseball has been accented with a Red Spica to add a little bit of sparkle.
On the inside you can see I used two sentiment stamps that were stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa to create a wonderful greeting and added a rhinestone paw print to go along with the puppies in the image!  This card can be "From the Whole Gang....doggies included!"
Here is another view so that you can see the dimension from the embossing.  I hope you have liked this fun project!!  Make sure you head on over to the SCACD blog to see what the other girls have made, and of course to join in on the fun challenge.  You can link your Father's Day creation -->here<--.
