Bring on Summer or at least Spring.....

Happy Saturday Friends!  Are you getting ready for your Easter Celebrations?  I hope the weather is nice where you are at...in WI we are having some unseasonable cold weather....I'm soooo ready for summer....or at least spring!  We still had snow this past week....YUCKO!  Thank you to everyone for the prayers for my friend's family...they are greatly appreciated during this difficult time for them!

Now onto some crafty fun....Today I have yet another post it note holder to share with you....are you getting sick of these yet? LOL
This creation was made for another co-worker of mine!  This features Fresh Picked by Carmen Medlin for SCACD.  She is from the Reflection #2 Collection.  I sooo adore how Carmen's images are so realistic!!!
Papers are from the beautiful Prima Madeline Collection.  I seriously can't get over the amount of paper you get in these paper packs for the $$$....a WONDERFUL purchase!  Plus this collection has the wonderful balance of bold and soft colors...one of my favorite 6x6 pads!
Miss. Freshed Picked was colored with Copics.  She was cut out and popped up on a combination of SB Mega Oval and Mega Scalloped Oval nesties.
Flower arrangement consists of a De Soie Suffolk Prima beauty.  The rest of the arrangement are white flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which have been airbrushed to match my color combo.  These flowers are: 25mm rose, 20mm rose, Hip Rosebuds, Heather Stem, and a 25mm Rose leaf.
Here is the bottom of the easel card which is the home for the post it notes.  Has been accented with more Wild Orchid Crafts flowers that are 10mm Roses, and 4mm closed Rosebuds.  I hope you've enjoyed this beauty!

Enjoy your time with your family this weekend and remember to tell them that you love them!!!!

Peeker Fever!

Has Peeker Fever hit you yet?  It sure as here!!! :)  I absolutely adore the newest collection at SCACD called The Peekers!  These adorable stamps are Susana's personal ideas and with the help of Elisabeth Bell these beauties are now a reality!
Again I have made another post it note holder.  This one was for another co-worker of mine!  Her favorite color is red so with that as my focus this is what I created for her!  This features the beautiful and sweet Hey Birdy Peeker!
Here is the top of the easel card/holder.  Papers are from the Memory Box Brioche Collection.  Ribbon in the bottom left corner is Vintage Seam Binding in Antique Gold.   Pearls in the upper right hand corner were made using my Viva Decor Red Pearl Pen.
Hey Birdy Peeker was colored with Copics and the background was airbrushed.  The ribbon on her dress and hat were dazzled up with Illuminate Smooch.  The whole image was bordered using my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner.  Little butterflies were punched using a MS punch and then I accented them with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.  Diamond Glaze was added to the water in the bird bath to give it more of a realistic look.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid and the arrangement consists of a Gardenia, 25mm roses, 15mm roses, 8mm semi-opened rosebuds, 4mm closed rosebuds, Gypsophila, and Pearl Stamens.  Flowers have been glitterized with Diamond Stickles.
Here you can see the bottom of the post it note holder.  Again accented with more Wild Orchid Craft Flowers...same as in the arrangement on the top part of the card.  I hope you've enjoyed the stop by!

Happy Friday Friends....WOW has this week been an exciting one for me!  I got a new car Wednesday (thanks to my wonderful hubby!!!), got a full-time job offer the same day, and today is the release of the NEWEST SCACD stamps.....
Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamps - The Peekers
Welcome to THE PEEKERS Blog Hop!
Oh my goodness is this one of my favorite SCACD sets!
I am so happy to be the first on the hop today!  Please meet Sweet Mischief by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD....isn't she adorable?  Papers are from the Prima Sweet Fairy Collection.
I made another post it note holder easel card.  This one is for my friend at work who just had a birthday this past week.  It looks so adorable on her desk!!!
This little Peeker was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen!  The cherries on top of the cake were colored using my Red Spica for some fun glitter.  The frosting on the cake was accented with Illuminate Smooch....for more sparkle!  Then I took my Star Dust Stickles and accented the yellow parts of this little cutie's outfit...for yet even MORE sparkle!  Then it that wasn't enough I took my Viva Decor Holo Glitter Liner and outlined the edge of my image for some ultimate bling!!!
The pearl swirls were handmade by me! :)  I used my Bazzill swirl template and plotted out where I wanted my pearls to be.  Then I took my Viva Decor Yellow Pearl Pen and made my custom pearls!  I love how this accented my card.  The double bow with the Vintage Seam Binding in Cream was made using my Bow Easy!
Here you can see some more of those gorgeous Prima Sweet Fairy Collection.   The corners of the post it holder box were decorated with 20mm Roses8mm Semi-Open Rosebuds4mm Rosebuds, and purple Stamens.

Wild Orchid - Flower Premiere & TIOT #86

Happy Thursday....wow the week is winding down for me....I'm very excited for this weekend, I'm in need of a little down time.  I've now gone through 3 interviews and have an exam in my nutrition class today.  I'm hoping to hear back on the interviews next week....I'm definitely saying my prayers, and crossing every body part that I can that I get a call back from the firm that I really want to work for! :)

Well today I have some EXTRA FUN CRAFT NEWS for you!  Wild Orchid Crafts has some BRAND NEW flowers in stock and boy are these beauties!!!!  WOC is now carrying Poppies!  I've used them in my flower arrangements on both the top and bottom of my easel card for today!  Seriously these flowers are must haves in my opinion!
I've decided to create a fun easel card...this actually was the card that I made for my Mom for her Birthday card!  This card also ties in over at the SCACD Blog for TIOT where this week Suzanne has challenged us to create a fun card using an image with an animal....well an insect is still an animal, right?! lol!
Here you can see the main panel of my card.  I've used the cutie pie Little Acorn by Victoria Case for SCACD.  She of course is from the Mini Little Acorn Set!  I've used a new coloring technique on this card too....the other day I was at my mom's using her Copics and she didn't have a specific color, so I mixed two different color families and like how the coloring turned out (I will have a sample with this other image soon)!  So I tried the fun coloring technique on this image too!  For Little Acorn's pants I've used Y and YR colors, for her shirt and hat I've used RV and YR colors!  I really like the mixed look it gives!  I've used papers from the Prima Fairy Flower Collection.  Little Acorn has been popped up onto a SB Beaded oval which then had been glamored up with my Viva Decor Lilac Pearl Pen.  The ladybug has been glitzed up with my TonerTex Pen and Red Glitter!
Here you can see the fun bottom panel with a cute ladybug that I had in my stash and I thought would be perfect for this card!  Flowers in this arrangement are White Poppy (that was airbrushed), 15mm roses, and 6mm closed rosebuds.
Finally is my main panel flower arranemgent that consists of Champagne Pink Curly Wild Rose, White Poppies (that have been airbrushed pink), 20mm Roses, 15mm roses, 6mm closed rosebuds, and 3mm pearls.

Challenge I would like to enter:
Sketch Saturday - Sketch (although I tweeked it a bit...lol!)

TIOT 84 - Anything But a Square

Happy Weekend!

I hope you are having some fun this weekend!  WOW another week of school has gone by!  This semester sure is flying by....must be because I am really enjoying my classes!  However, with a busy week full of homework means not a lot of crafty time. :(  I did finally get my TIO*T* card done for this week! YAY!  Suzanne has challenged us to create a card that is ANYTHING BUT A SQUARE!  Oh I love making fun shaped easel cards!!!  So I grabbed my SB Labels 11 and went to work!
The cutie on this card is one of the new Animapeeps from the newest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD collection....her name is Just Ducky.  Speaking on NEW....I have a bunch of NEW goodies on this card!  The wonderful papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather collection.  These papers are so beautiful....there are gorgeous holiday papers in here as well as papers that can be used for any occasion, like those that I've used on this card.  And my FAVORITE new tool  that I have used on this card is the Epiphany Crafts flower button maker!  See those oh so cute flower buttons....I made them myself with the papers from the Mitten Weather Cosmo Cricket collection!  I love how easy it was to make buttons that matched my project perfectly!  These makers are a dream to use, SUPER easy, and MEGA fun!  I think it took me less than 2 minutes to make both customized buttons!  You seriously need to get one of these!  I can't wait to use my solid round one now! :)
Isn't Just Ducky so adorable?  She seriously is a dream to color!  I've colored her with Copics and and then accented her with my TonerTex Pen and have used Diamond Glaze on her eyes.  I've used the TonerTex pen and Glitters on her hair bow and boots.  Then this sweetie's umbrella was accented using the TonerTex pen and Foils.  Love the holographic foils, they are so gorgeous!  Here you can see a close up of the Epiphany button too!
The bottom of the card holds a sentiment so this card can be used for any occasion, and again showcases the Epiphany button!
Finally, a side view to share the dimension and shine with you.  The umbrella has been double popped up so that it sits higher than Just Ducky.  I hope you have enjoyed my Anything But a Square card, make sure you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what my DT Sisters have made!  I hope you come back soon, as I have some more goodies to share with you soon!

WOJ #82 - My Sketch!

Hi Friends~

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts regarding my recent internet issues!  After almost 11 hours the other day, my internet service provider finally got my email figured out...and it was their fault...surprise surprise....not!  I want to thank my very dear friend, Susana and her awesome hubby for ALL their help...I couldn't have gotten this resolved with out you two...you are the bestest....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Mwah!

Today I am super excited to tell you that we have a sketch challenge over at the WOJ Challenge Blog for you....and guess what....the sketch was made by me....so please be kind as this is my first sketch with WOJ, it surely doesn't compare to Bev's beauties, but I had fun making it!  I hope that you have fun playing along with my sketch!  I can't wait to see how everyone interprets it....I think that is going to be the best part for me!!!
I've decided to use Cool Oakley and Willow Dressing Up which are from the first City Collection, seeing how I am *patiently* but excitedly (hee hee) waiting for my City Collection II stamps to arrive I thought I would use these cuties from the first set! I've once again gotten inspiration from my Mom!  She paired these two stamps together in an anniversary card for me and my hubby, you can see her card -->here<--
Here is my sketch, I really hope you have fun playing along with our challenge!

The papers I've used are from the Basic Grey Cappella Collection.  Oh my word do I love these beautiful papers in here....I had to cringe when I cut into them!
The bottom panel has been created using a MS border punch and my ovals and scallop oval nesties with a SU sentiment.
The image has been popped up on the Renassiance Heart Pendant die cut.  Of course these cuties were colored with copics.  I've used my gold spica on Willow's left bracelet and sash of her dress.  My Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Cream was used to create the pearls on her bracelet on the right.
All flowers (but one) are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The first rose collection I am sharing with you is what I call the pink collection on this card....I used pink flowers on one side of the card and blue flowers on the other to incorporate the girl and boy! :)  For the pink collection I've used a NEW Champagne Pink Classic Sweet Rose, 15mm roses, and 4mm closed rosebuds.  These have all been sparkled up with star dust stickles.  Behind the flowers are some lace...of course I didn't have a cream color lace I wanted...and then I had an AH HA Moment and remembered I have Glimmer Mist!  So I took my Bronze Glimmer Mist and tinted the lace to look more vintage!
Finally is the Blue flower collection!  I've used Cream Cherry Blossoms (which have been spritzed with the same Glimmer Mist as the lace), 10mm roses, Gypsophlia flower, and clear Crystal Heart steams.  All these flowers too have been sparklized with star dust stickles.

Now go and create a fun card with my sketch!  I can't wait to see what you all make....remember to use a WOJ stamp to be in the running for the chance to win the lovely stamp that is sponsored this week!  The WOJ Challenge blog is also having a DT call so if you would like to be on our amazing team make sure that you put "DT" behind your name in Mr. linky with your entry this week!

TIOT - Viva Style

Happy Thursday my dear friends!  I hope you are having a joyous week!  Today is my final exam in my first summer class...TOOT TOOT!  I'm so excited.....one down and one more to go!  YIPPY!!!

Gimmie a "V".....gimmie a "I"....gimmie another "V"......gimmie a "A".....what does that spell?  VIVA!  This week's challenge over at the SCACD Blog is to use LOTS of Viva Decor Products on your projects!
Today I have a fun card to share with you and it's full of Viva!  If you don't know about the Viva Decor Products....you are in the right place because I have used 3 different VIVA products on my project for today!
I have used the wonderful Watering Can accessory stamp that is only available in the Hearts and Hugs - Summer Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD!  This stamp is so beautiful and perfect for any type of card!  I have more fun planned later this week with this stamp so make sure you stop back to see what other things you can make with this beauty!  Of course the image has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.
This is actually an easel card that I made using my Spellbinders Large Big Scallop Square nesties!  The matting has been made using the Large Scalloped Square and Large Square nesties. On the swirls and butterflies you will see lots of pearls...these were created with my Viva Decor Pearl Pens.  I have used the Lilac Pearl Pen on the butterflies and on the swirls I've used my Cream Pearl Pen.
Here you can see my flower arrangement made with a Prima Hydrangea decked out with Viva Decor Glitter Pen (Holo), and Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Along the edge of the image I've also used my Viva Decor Glitter Pen (Holo)...I love how this glitter liner keeps its shape and stands out!
Here is the bottom of the easel card.  I've used my Labels 9 nestie for the sentiment and again lined with my Viva Decor Glitter Liner (Holo).  The cute bow was of course made with my Bow Easy!  If you don't have this tool you NEED to get it....it's definitely a MUST HAVE in my book!  For only $5 this tool is so worth the money!  I would be LOST without mine!  I absolutely LOVE making bows now!
Finally here is an angle picture of my image.  Here you can see the "dew" that I created in my scene.  I took my Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Pen and added a few small drops on the flowers and leafs to create that "just watered" look.  Then I added more of this gloss to the top of the watering can to look as if the can is plump full with water, and finally finished with a little bit of this gloss on the tip of the spout for the "wet look."  I've also added some Illuminate Smooch to the butterfly, hearts, and centers of flowers for some extra sparkle.

I hope you've enjoyed my project!  Now I can't wait to see your projects with VIVA!!!  Make sure you link your creation -->here<--!

Happy Anniversary

Hi Friends~

Well it certainly has been a long time since I got on my laptop...going on a full week!  How I miss all of you and my crafting!  My one week off in between spring semester and the start of summer classes sure was a rough one with no crafting involved.  Some of you may have read what's been going on over at my Mom's Blog. For those of you who haven't.....I got the nasty flu bug....it started last Sunday night and by Thursday I was so weak, had such bad stomach cramps that my Hubby and Mom decided that I needed to go into the ER.  So Thursday night I spent 3 1/2 hours in the ER...had an AMAZING doctor who was very nice and gave me an IV and 3 different meds.  When he found out that I was supposed to be a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding the following day he said we will have you looking great and ready to go to that wedding in no time.  Once I got the IV my hubby said he couldn't believe how good I was looking already.  That was the first night that I slept all night.  Made it to the wedding on Friday, survived the ceremony, the dinner (although I hardly ate anything), and the first part of the dance (however I didn't do any dancing....but my uncle's band was playing so I wanted to listen to them for a little bit).  Yesterday I was very weak...think I may have over done it at the wedding so I rested/napped all day.  My symptoms still aren't going away so I will most likely be making a trip to my regular doctor tomorrow probably for more tests.  However, today I am hoping to get a little bit of crafting time in....I'm feeling up to sitting at my desk for the first time in a week. So that is why I have been MIA!!!!

Onto some fun crafty news for you!  Susana has some fantastic blog candy over at the store blog that you don't want to miss!  AND on Friday you don't want to miss the Summer Time Fun Release by Victoria Case for SCACD!  You are going to love this AMAZING set!!!!  The whole set is adorable and there is a bonus that you get when you purchase the whole kit....you get TWO bonus accessory stamps!  How awesome is that?!!!

Today I would love to share the Anniversary card that I made for my hubby (thank god I got this finished before I got sick!)
I used Day Dreaming by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  As soon as I saw this cute stamp I knew i wanted to make an easel card and I used the color of my hubby's garage so it looked like I was looking out the window of our "someday" house! :)
This cutie was colored with my Copics.  I've used Ultra Fine Flower Soft in both Raspberry Fizz and Sage.
I've used my MS deep edge border punch to create my white picket fence.  Roses are Prima Mini Roses.  Copic Colors YG95 and YG97 were airbrushed used my ABS to create more of a "grass look" on the piece of green cardstock.  Airbrushing was also used to create a shadow effect behind the tree.
The tree was hand drawn by me.  Then I made a stand for the back, used my leaf punch and arranged the leafs and finally added a cute heart with a B & K which stands for Brent and Kim! :)
My window shutters with sprayed with Tsukineko Psst Shimmer Spritz in Sheer Sparkle.  I love the sparkle and shimmer you get from this fabulous spray!  Window pane was painted with Adirondack Pearl Paint.  Then Diamond Glaze was added to the windows for that real glass look.

Here are two more views so you can see the dimension in the card.  If you click on each picture it will make them both bigger.

I hope you have enjoyed this card!  I loved making it!!! Don't forget to head over the SCACD blog to check out that blog candy!  Susana also has added some WONDERFUL products over this past week that I have been away from blogland! She is now carrying Maya Road Mini Chipboard Sets, Lumiere Mini Paint Sets, and the much loved Tsukineko Psst Frost Spritz and Vanilla Smooch Spritz are now back in stock! Happy Shopping!
