WOC Blog Hop & Candy

Welcome to the Wild Orchid Crafts Classic Colour Roses Blog Hop!  Today the WOC DT are bringing to you some beautiful new roses called:
CLASSIC COLOUR RANGE OF
MULBERRY PAPER ROSES!!
This collection is an all new colour range and is a mixture of Vintage and Soft Faded colours!!!  They are all BEAUTIFUL!!!

If you've come here from the fabulous Jacqui's blog then you are in the right spot.  If not, please go to Bev's blog to start at the beginning of the hop....because you don't want to miss a stop along this amazing hop...plus you HAVE to check out these NEW Classic Colour Roses....they are gorgeous!!!
For my card I have used 2 new to me techniques.  First I stamped my image on some kraft cardstock and then took my paint brush with a little bleach and bleached out the stamped image so that I could use my Copics to color the beautiful image.  After it was colored I ran it through my embossing folder to give the image a faux cross-stiched/fabric look.  I think it's perfect for a vintage theme!  Cotton Lace (from Wild Orchid) adds to the  beautiful vintage look of this card.  Decorative Metal Corners (also from Wild Orchid) were the perfect touch to add even a little more vintage to this card....I absolutely adore these corners...they are so light weight and I adhere them and my flowers to my creations using the fabulous Crafters Pick Incredibly Tacky Glue.  Papers are from the Kaisercraft English Rose Collection.
Flowers from Wild Orchid make up my arrangement which consists of a NEW 35mm Classic Colour Trellis Rose, NEW Classic Colour 25mm Roses, Cherry Blossoms, NEW Classic Colour 10mm Roses, Hip Rosebuds, 4mm Closed Rosebuds, and Burgundy Crystal Stems.
Image corners have been accented with Self Adhesive 3mm Pearls.  I can't believe how many of these pearls come in one package...you definitely are getting more than your $$ worth when purchasing these...and the wide arrangement of colors to choose from at Wild Orchid means that you can match your pearls to any creation you make!!!

Thanks to a very generous Paul and Siri at Wild Orchid Crafts, I'm lucky enough to be able to give away some of these fabulous NEW Classic Colour Roses!!  Make sure you leave a comment for your chance to win the following prize:
There are MORE stops along the hop where you can win some of these beauties too!!!  Our hop runs from today until midday on Saturday April 30th when the winners will be drawn!!!  Only ONE comment per person please!

Your next stop is at the ultra talented Mindy's blog...I know she has something fabulous to share with you!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!!!  To purchase your very own Classic Colour Roses, click -->HERE<--!

TIOT #81 - Dreamweaver....PART TWO

If you've seen my post from yesterday you will know that the TIOT challenge this week over at the SCACD Blog is to use Dreamweaver Products.  Yesterday I shared with you my card and today I would like to share the cute gift bag that I made to go along with this card!
Here is the set together using the Aurora - Bee Mine from the Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD.  Papers are from the Basic Grey Olivia Collection.
Aurora was stamped on the bag using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I've used Suzanne's wonderful Fabric Stamping tutorial.  I heat set the stamped image before coloring with Copics...remember if you are coloring on fabric to use a very light hand as the fabric soaks up the ink very fast.
The swirls were made using my Crafter's Workshop Swirly Q's stencil and Copic ABS to airbrush the swirl with colors to match Aurora.  Then I took my Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram to outline the swirl to add some bling.
Flower are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Flower arrangement consists of two 25mm white roses (that were airbrushed to match the blue in the papers), and three 15mm pink roses.  All flowers have been sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.  Then I took my Swirl punch to make some swirls to add to the flower arrangement and stay with the swirl theme.
Finally is the tag that uses the same Basic Grey Olivia papers.  Pink part of the tag was accented with stamp from Tiny Tags and sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (both from SU).  I hope you've enjoyed my gift set!

Remember all Dreamweaver embossing pastes and micas can also be used with the Crafter's Workshop Stencils! :)

**Shopping Alert**  Susana is just rolling in the new products over at SCACD...and let me tell you she has some fun and wonderful things coming in!  Check out the NEW Spellbinders, and NEW Tonertex Pen, Foils and Glitter (this product looks AMAZING...I can't wait to try this out!).  Happy Shopping!

TIOT #81 - Dreamweaver

Happy Thursday Evening everyone.  Hope you are having a wonderful week!  For this week's TIOT challenge Suzanne has challenged us to use Dreamweaver products...if you haven't tried out these amazing products you really need to.  They add a whole new level to your cards (especially with the embossing paste!)

Sorry my post is late today...I finished my sample yesterday and then had a date last night with my sister to go and see the country band Gloriana at a local fair.  They totally rocked and the best part was that the radio station Y100 upgraded our seats to the 2nd ROW!  How awesome is that?  We were sitting in the way back (the cheap seats) and the radio people came and asked us if we wanted to sit in the 2nd Row.  At first I thought they were kidding, but they weren't!  We had a lot of fun!

Now onto my card for today...
For my card I used Aurora - Bee Mine from the Aurora 2 Collection.  Papers are from the Basic Grey Olivia Collection.  The double bow was made with my Bow Easy.
Aurora and her Bee friend were colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  The background behind her is made with my Dreamweaver Flower Lace stencil.  I taped the stencil with removable tape onto a piece of white cardstock.  Then I took my Copic ABS and airbrushed the stencil with colors to match the papers to create Aurora's background.  There really are so many uses for these stencils.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Flower arrangement consists of a pink Classic Sweet Rose, a 25mm white rose (that was airbrushed to match the blue in the papers), three 15mm pink roses, and 6mm closed rosebuds.  All flowers have been sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.

You can find other samples of my work using Dreamwever products -->HERE<--.  Make sure you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what my DT Sisters have done with the amazing Dreamweaver products!!!  Please come back tomorrow to see another project I have made with stencils!!!

**Blog Candy Alert**  It's my Mom's Blogaversary and to celebrate she has some amazing Blog Candy up for grabs!  Click -->HERE<-- to go enter!!!

**Shopping Alert** Susana has recently gotten some very yummy products in....NEW Primas, NEW Prima Paper, and NEW Prima stamps and stencils!  Happy Shopping!

Mr. & Mrs. Happily Ever After

Good Morning~ Today I am on my way to my cousin's wedding!  I am so excited....and I love weddings!  Congrats to Jason and Jill!!!  Today I'm going to share with you my wedding card for them:
I decided to ink up another one of my Maggies!  I thought this one would be perfect for the brand new bride and groom!  I've used the sketch over at Just Magnolia...I promise the sketch is there...when making the card I didn't realize that I should have made a 6" card instead of my regular 5 1/2" because the image is so big. Lol! Papers are collection of MME Love Birds Collection and DCWV Natural Collection.
Mr. and Mrs. Loving Couple have been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've airbrushed the background with my Copic ABS.  Twinkling H2O in Heavenly White was used on Tilda's dress and the middle of the roses in her hair....I forgot to get a picture of all the shimmer...it really is beautiful IRL.
Flowers are from the magnificent Wild Orchid Crafts!  Arrangement consists of 2-Tone Red and White 30mm Wild Rose, two 20mm red roses, three 10mm red roses, 4mm closed rosebuds and a red stamen.  All flowers have been sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.
Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and has been stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  I've added two 3mm pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts to accent the sentiment.
I've even decorated the inside of this card! :)  On the left side of the inside I've made this cute little envelope and left the top unglued so I can slip in my gift of money for the newlyweds!  Scalloped have been blinged out with 5mm pearls!
For the right hand side I've carried through the same papers as the front.  I've used my NEW Marianne Die to cut the swirls and added more 3mm pearls to the swirls.  Sentiment is going to go on the SB Labels 9!  Again I want to wish Jason and Jill a Happily Ever After!

Challenges I'd like to enter:

TIOT #80 - Flower Soft & VIVA

Hi Friends~
Happy Thursday to you!  Today I'm hoping to get my craft room in order...it's been a disaster for weeks now...I'd like to get some organizing done too...you know labeling my organizer drawers and the like.

Today for TIO*T* Suzanne has challenged the DT to use Flower Soft in a "new" way!  Hmmmm...this one TOTALLY stumped me...I didn't have a clue so I started by coloring my image and hoped that an idea would come to me!
Today, I've used one of the BRAND NEW Aurora stamps!  This cutie is Walk in the Park from the Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACDRemember if you purchase the whole set you get Aurora's awesome sister Sprite as a bonus stamp for FREE!!!  I really love the Aurora Collection stamps they are so much fun to color and Aurora has the best outfits!!!  Papers are from the Olivia BG pad.  My VIVA Decor Ice White Pearl Pen got a work out on this card too...it's been used on the swirls in the corners, the scalloped oval, and a few of the flower petals.
Aurora has been colored with Copics and popped up on an SB oval and SB scalloped oval nesties.  When I was coloring Miss. Aurora I was like oh no she looks like Christmas with the reds and greens....I was really trying to make her a coral and kiwi green...lol I do think she still looks good!  As I was coloring her that's when I got my Flower Soft idea....I wanted to make her mousy friend fuzzy....and then that's when the idea to use flower soft on her hair came to me!!  I've used Koala Grey Ultra Fine Flower Soft on Mr. Mouse and for Aurora's hair I've used Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Toffee and Sand.  I hope you like this "new" way to use your Flower Soft...it really is a fun idea....I think anyways! :)
Flowers are Primas and here you can see the Viva Pearl Pen on the petals.
Diamond Glaze was used on Aurora and Mousy's eyes for shine!  In this picture you can kinda see the images that have been stamped around the oval nestie...I've taken two different stamps along with my Hero Arts Shadow Ink and decorated around the oval for a soft background image...sorry it's so hard to see in the pictures.  The sentiment tag was also given the same "shadow" treatment along the edges.
And one final picture from an angle so you can see the dimension on this card.

Now head over to the SCACD Blog to get out how my DT Sister's have used Flower soft on their projects!

Challenge I'd like to enter:

Make A Mess Monday #2 - Chipboard

Good Morning Everyone~

I hope you are doing wonderful this Monday!  I am still trying to get caught up on rest since CHA...and back to my normal schedule!  lol!  I'm hoping to get my photos in slideshows today so I can start sharing the CHA products with you!

Today's the 1st Monday of the month so that means it's MAKE A MESS MONDAY over at SCACD!  Marti has a fabulous challenge for us....it's to use Chipboard!!!  This post is a little late...I usually schedule my posts to go live early in the AM; however, I just finished my projects late last night and they were drying so I had to wait until this morning to get pictures of them....and I got to sleep in this morning so that's why I'm late.  Sorry!  I hope it was worth the wait!  For my chipboard samples I have used loads of Viva products!
For my first sample I have used Aurora Out on the Town from the Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD.  Papers are from DCWV and Cosmo Cricket.  I love the yellow and blue combination for this beauty!
Aurora has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and accented with my white gel pen.  Instead of using my W3 for the shadows within the image colors I have used C3 to give the shadows more of a blue hue.
And now for the Chipboard decorations!  I've taken a chipboard swirl and then grabbed my VIVA Decor Steel Blue Inka Gold.  I dipped my finger into the Viva and then just smeared it over the chipboard.  It hardly took any Viva to cover this swirl and the finished look is so metallic and shiny!  I just love this stuff! If you don't have any you really should get some!!! It's absolutely amazing and is easy to clean off of your hands...just use soap and water!  To see a video Marti has put together showing the Inka Gold products, click -->HERE<--!  The chipboard was finally decorated with some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts which consist of a yellow 20mm Rose, and two blue 15mm roses.  The roses have been glitzed with Star Dust Stickles.
The butterflies have also been decked out with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen, and I was able to get the exact pearl size that I needed.  As you know I absolutely LOVE these pens!
Here is another view of the Viva Decor Inka Gold in the sunlight so you can see the metallic hue that this product gives off.  I've added Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen to the Swirls for some added dimension. Now you really need to go and check out all the Viva Decor Inka Gold colors that Susana carries over at SCACD!
*************
Now for project #2!  For this project I have used some more chipboard and Viva Decor products!
This card was made using the beautiful Sprite....isn't she just a doll?!  I absolutely love her!  She's so adorable!  To get your own Sprite all you need to do is order the BRAND NEW Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD....because this cutie comes FREE with your set!  Susana also has amazing prices on her stamp sets which means that your stamps are less than $5 a piece...PLUS the Sprite Freebie....how wonderful is that?  Papers are a combination of Kaisercraft Gypsy Sisters and Papermania Raspberry Champagne.
Sprite has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and accented with my white gel pen.  I've popped her up on two Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles.  The background effect behind Sprite was made using my SU Vintage Wheel and Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Soft Pink.  When you stamp with the Hero Arts ink it looks dark but dries to a very soft hue.  I've again used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen to add some small pearls to the darker die.
Flowers are Zva Creative Roses that have been glitzed with Diamond Stickles and set on top of a Ribbon Rose (this ribbon is pretty cool....my Mom got it for me for my birthday and I love it!)  Heart Pins are Maya Road and rosebuds are light pink 4mm Closed Rosebuds from Wild Orchid Crafts.
And now for the CHIPBOARD!  This sign was soooo much fun to make!  I took my blank piece of chipboard and my Viva Decor Light Carmine Paper Pen.  I put a generous amount of Viva on the chipboard and smeared it around with a make up sponge.  While the piece was still wet I took my SU Vintage Wheel and wheeled it through the Viva which left the same amazing print as the background that Sprite is popped up on.  I then set the chipboard aside to dry, which took a little while.  **NOTE**if you try this technique make sure that you clean off your wheel RIGHT AWAY so the Viva doesn't dry on.  I just ran my wheel under water immediately after using and it cleaned right up with water.

Susana has LOTS of naked chipboard pieces over at SCACD and LOTS of Viva Decor products for you to alter your chipboard with!  Have fun playing with your chipboard!  Make sure you stop back the 1st Monday of the Month to see what other Messy Creations we will have to share with you!

Happy Friday!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I just got home from the funeral....it was sad, but I loved spending time after the service with my friend's family (or as I call them my "adopted" family)...they are the greatest!

Today I have a fun card to share with you and a tutorial too!  Lots of fun here today! :)  Do you remember -->THIS<-- project that I shared with you back in June?  Well I used the same image and made a tutorial to share with you how to create the beach scene that I made!  The tutorial, can be found  -->HERE<--  over at the SCACD Blog!  :)

MME Bloom and Grow papers have been used on this card.   I have used By the Sea by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD.  She is from the Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection

I've colored her with Copics.  She has then been cut out with Spellbinders oval and scalloped oval.  For the background piece I have used Labels 11 and on the edges I have used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Kiwi and after making my pearls I then covered them with Glamour Dust for more sparkle.
Flower are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I've again used white flowers and my Copic ABS to airbrush them with the colors to match my cutie pie's swimsuit.  I've used  a Gardenia, and two 20mm roses. Flowers have been spritzed with Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer.

One more angle shot so you can see how the finished water looks!  Now head over -->HERE<-- to the SCACD blog to check out the tools you need to make your own water scene!  I'd also love if you'd link your water projects over at the tutorial because I'd really love to see your water work! :)

TIOT #76 - Clean and Simple

Happy Thursday night everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful day!  YAY tomorrow is Friday...too bad I have to go to a funeral :(  Our best friend's Grandma passed away this week so I will be going to spend some time with him and his family.  Today's card is the card that I made for the family.  It also is my sample for this week's TIO*T* card!!!  Suzanne has challenged us to make a clean and simple card with just white/cream and one extra pop of color....now your image can be multi-colored.  Of course this was a little tough for me as I don't think it's in my blood to make a simple card...hee hee!
For my card I have used the NEW Just For You by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD that is from the Sampler Edition #5.  This stamp is gorgeous...I absolutely love the swirls on the vase!  This stamp can be perfect for any occasion...birthday, thinking of you, invitation, you name it!  Of course you can see that I've used blue for my pop of color.  I've used a Sizzix embossing folder for the back panel.  Corners were jazzed up with my Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen.
The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and then colored with Copics.  I've cut the image out with my Spellbinders Oval die, and the pansy background was made with my MS border punch.  The main image was edged with my Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram.
Flower are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts!  All flowers were white and then I airbrushed them to match the color blue from my cardstock.  I've used 8mm semi-open roses, 10mm roses, and a 30mm wild rose.  All flowers have been accented with Star Dust Stickles.
Finally is another view of the beautiful vase!  From this angle I am hoping that you can see the shimmer to my image.  After coloring with Copics I then went over the image with various Twinkling H2Os to add that shimmer to the image!

I hope you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what amazing creations the other DT members have made!!!  They are all stunning!  I also have a fun tutorial for SCACD coming up soon and you don't want to miss it!

TIOT #75 - Quilts and Stitching!

Happy Thursday Everyone!  I hope you are all having a great week!  School has been absolutely insane this week...I really hope the next 5 weeks go by super fast because I can't wait to be done with this class!  I hate to wish away the summer....but I really need my break before the regular semester starts!  hee hee! Thank goodness CHA is coming up...that will be a nice breather for a few days!

It's time for another TIO*T* and this week we have a fabulous challenge from Suzanne....it's all about QUILTS and stitching! You most definitely want to play along this week because it's the FIRST challenge of the month which means Susana has a PRIZE to be won...you can choose any stamp of your choice!  ***Just remember in order to be in the running for the prize all you need to do is use a stamp that Susana carries in the store! :) ***
Today I have used Flower Power which is one of the NEW stamps in the Sampler Edition #5 by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD!  This is my sister's birthday card....I hope she likes it!!!  The papers I have used are from the Basic Grey Sultry collection....I love this collection because of all the pinks and browns!  I hope you can see my quilt design behind all of the elements!  I also got out my Janome Sew Mini and stitched all the edges of the papers.
Miss. Flower Power was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen!  I've used my Chocolate Spica and Clear Spica in her hair for some extra shimmer.  The clear Spica was also used on her sash.  Raspberry Fizz ultra fine Flower Soft was used for the wreath in her hair.  I soooo love the ultra fine Flower soft for the little spaces!
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I've used a Classic Sweet Rose, Cherry Blossoms, 4mm Rosebuds, and Pink Crystal Drops.  The flowers have been glitzed up with Star Dust Stickles.  The flower charm has been colored with my Copic to turn it from the silver it was to a pink to match the card!
AND....You can't have a card without VIVA!!!  In all of the corners of the card I have used my Viva Decor Opaque Gloss Pen and made my "dots."  Then I sprinkled Glamour Dust on them to make them glitter dots!  On the two butterflies I have used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen to make the pearls!  I so love being able to customized any dots and pearls that I need for my projects!  Viva pens are definitely a must have and you get sooooo much for the price you pay....definitely worth the money!

Now head over to the SCACD Blog to check out all the other DT samples!  Don't forget to link your project -->here<-- for your chance to win a stamp from the SCACD Store!

***NEWS FLASH....be on the look out for some NEW exciting fun at the SCACD Blog starting Monday, July 12th!  You definitely don't want to miss this!!!***
