SCACD Sneek Peek - Binkies Rule!

**This is my 2nd Post of the Day, so please scroll down for my Stamps and Smiles post.**

Hi Friends...Welcome back to my Blog today!  I hope you are all having a fantastic week!  This is ANOTHER fun highlight of the week!  Today I get to share one of the BRAND NEW Elisabeth Bell for SCACD images that will be available for purchase on Friday, August 27th! These are all sooooo cute and I absolutely love them....they really are so sweet and adorable!

So without further ado....meet BINKIES RULE:
Isn't she just adorable?  I love her to pieces!!!  For my card I decided to go with a shabby chic feel.  I used my Distress-It-All on the papers for the vintage feel.  Then I took my Crackle Paint in picket fence and painted the edges of the papers for the shabby chic feel!  Papers are from the Basic Grey Olivia collection.  Corners were jazzed up with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen to get the perfect size pearls that I wanted.
Here is Miss. Binkie herself!  I just think she is so adorable and can be used for any type of card...whether it be a birthday card, a baby card, or a friendship card!  Binkie was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  She's been popped up on a Labels 6 Nestie.
Flowers are all Prima....small flowers are Teal Fairytale Roses layered on top of a flat Prima and a Prima Hydrangea.  To finish off the flower collection I added some Clear Crystal Chandeliers.
Bow was made with my Bow Easy and a charm was one I found in my stash.  From this view you can also see the dolie that I have added...it started out white and I used my Eucalyptus Shimmerz Spritz to color it to match the papers.  I love the soft shimmer that this spritz gives!
Sentiment is from PTI Mega Mixed Messages and here you can see the Crackle Paint that is around the edges of my papers.
Finally is another picture of Miss. Binkie so you can see the Diamond Glaze that I added to her eyes for that extra shine.  I hope you have enjoyed my sneek peek!

Tilda waiting for You!

Hi Everyone~

This weekend between homework and income tax class I had some time to color....and today I put a few cards together!  I have a special surprise coming up on Wednesday and can't wait to share it with you...until then.....I have a fun Tilda card to show you....and of course I used my FAVORITE color combo of pink and brown!

I have used Heidi Grace papers that I picked up last year.  These are all shimmery and sparkly.  Of course I finished this card long after dark so I had to use my Ott Lite to take photos....oh how I wish I had sunlight instead!

Miss Tilda was colored with my copics and I added Twinkling H20s for added depth and shimmer.  (Twinkling H2Os: Dress - Pink Crocus; Shirt - Pink Azalea; Canister - Hunter Gray.)  It's hard to tell but I airbrushed the background with RV000 for a very light pink touch.

This week's challenge over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers is to use buttons and bows.  I created this multi-loop bow with my Bow Easy (love that thing...I always had the darndest time trying to tie bows before...not anymore!)  I wanted small heart buttons but of course didn't have what I wanted so I made my own buttons.  I used a heart punch and then just drew button holes on them...they are just what I wanted!

The finished inside I used a tiny canister that matches the  one on the front and filled it with lots of little chocolate hearts.

I'm entering this fun card in the following challenges:
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Buttons & Bows
Spoonful of Sugar - Freestyle
Just Magnolia - Hearts & Flowers

Today's we are showcasing the Be My Valentine - Cuppy digi set!  This set contains 10 fun and adorable images.  I've made an easel card to share with you today!

I've used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers along with my Pink Paislee Cupid papers which you can find -->HERE<-- .  Aren't these papers so fun...what I like about them is that they are perfect for Valentine's but they also can be used anytime of year!  Barb has them in stock over at EIO so click on my link to go and check them out!

Cuppy was colored with my Copics!  The panel they are pop'd up on is kraft cardstock that has been cut out with my heart nesties, then stamped with an Inkadinkado background stamp with Versamark Dazzle - Champagne, and finally ran through my Cuttlebug with my Swiss Dots folder.   I've used chocolate chip cardstock for the scalloped heart.  If you want to get the heart and scalloped heart nesties you best buy them now as I hear Spellbinders has discontinued them!!!  My friend Cindy still has a few in stock at her store...click the links above to go and get yours and make sure you tell Cindy I sent you! :)  Highlights were added to my images with my white gel pen.

Roses are from Wild Orchid and are covered with Xmas Red SticklesIcicle Stickles was used on the frosting of Cuppy and her little cupcake man!

The bottom panel has the same kraft decorated background as on the heart on the front of the card.  I've used my MS deep edge heart lace punch and added my candy hearts which are also a part of this fun digi set!  I've printed them bigger than my image and colored them with my Copics.

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

I got my new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps so I am soooo excited to play along with the girls in their challenges now!  Even though I only have 2 Kimmie stamps for now, they will have to do! :)  This week the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge is paper piecing.  I have used Francesca....I so love her with all of her cupcakes!  I have paper pieced her lovely hat...oh how I wish I had a fun hat like that! It was my Grandma's birthday Sunday  so I thought it was perfect to use this cutie for Gram's card!  I've used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers for my layout.

Papers used are the NEW BG Sugar Rush which you can find over at Embellish!  Just click on the link in my sidebar to go and shop!  These papers in this collection are so fun and versatile....so much more than just Valentine's.

Francesca was colored with my Copics and Spicas.  The Spicas were added to the tops of the cupcakes and candles.  Thanks to Lillian I found a new hair color combo!  She used E30 and E00 on her post here.  When I saw her post I knew I had to give that hair color a try!!!  I have added E35 to Lillian's combo for my Francesca.  I love this combo for a fun dirty blonde look....it's more subtle and soft than what my normal hair colors are so it's fun to have a new combo!  Again, her hat was paper pieced.  I added Star Dust Stickles to her scarf, belt, and trim on her dress for extra sparkles.

I used my new MS deep edge floral lace punch, but then I stamped out 6 cupcakes (the cupcake image comes with Francesca), colored them with my Copics and Spicas and put them in place of the flowers of the punch.  As you can see from the picture I popped up every other cupcake with a dimensional.

Then I carried the layout through to the inside.  Barb has some amazing deals going on over at Embellish!  Click my DT blinkie in my sidebar to go and take a peek!  Make sure you tell her that I sent you! :)  There is also a DT CALL going on right now at Embellish!  Click -->here<-- to go for all the details.

Club Anime Dec. Color Challenge

Happy Saturday!  Today is the Color Challenge over at Club Anime!  Virginia has come up with some super fun christmas colors to play with!  This month's prize is 3 rubber stamps of your choice!  You have one month to create your project using the color combo.  Go and check out the Club Anime Blog for all the details and to see what the other DT members have cooked up!

For my card I used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers.  I used the digi image Sandy...she is so happy that Christmas is almost here!

Sandy was colored with my Copics.  I used my Red Spica and Olive Spica to add shimmer to the shaded parts of her.  I love how the shaded parts now shimmer.

I added liquid applique to the trim on Sandy's hat, skirt, and boot.  Before I heat set it, I added some Glamour Dust to give her even more sparkles.

Did you know that you can color your charms?  YES you can!  You can customize any silver charm with your Copics!  Here you can see my colored charm to match my paper!

For my sentiment I used my Fiskars Ornament Punch, stamped my sentiment and then doodled in my flourish swirls with my Silver Spica to add some decoration to the ornament.

Well I best get to studying!  I have final exams next week....after Thursday afternoon I am officially on winter break until the end of January!  Oh how much fun that will be!  I can't wait to get up everyday to craft the day away and ink up a bunch of new stamps that I have waiting to be played with! :)

A New Cute Tilda

YAY...I finally got some time to play with a Tilda....and one of my NEW Tildas! This cutie is Dinner Tilda from the A Little Yummy for your Tummy collection! You can preorder this cutie over at 7 Kids College Fund! There are a bunch of yummies for your tummy to preorder!

For this card I used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers and also used the challenge from Just Magnolia of using ribbons and bows! Tilda of course is stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with my Copics!

I used some new products to me. I used Shimmerz Spritz in Cotton Candy that I sprayed on the bow that Tilda is sitting on and the flowers for some extra shimmer! I also used Smooch for the first time. I used Moonlight Smooch for Tilda's pearl necklace and bracelet, and then I added a pearl earring to match. Then I used the Snickerdoodle Smooch for the accents on Tilda's adorable pants to add some bling to her outfit. 7 Kids College Fund has a huge variety of Smooch colors for you to choose from!

A close up of Miss. Tilda:

The finished inside of the card. The flourish on the bottom right corner is a rub-on.
A here is another angle so you can see the Smooch up close! I love the great pearlized effect that you get when using the Smooch! A definite must have in my book!!!

Friday Sketchers with InStyle

Meet Akemi, she's a cutie over at InStyle Stamps! She's so much fun to color and can be used for any type of card (birthday, just because, thinking of you, etc.) I used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers for this card. Heidi did an amazing job with this sketch...it was a lot of fun to play with (after I figured out how to cut my square to the correct size so I could turn it into a triangle to fit the page.) I wish the rhinestones showed up better on the upper right hand side of the card...they are nice and sparkly IRL. I colored the small roses on the bottom right of the card with my twinkling H20s to give them the black shimmery look.
Here is a close up of Miss. Akemi:
And then the finished inside, which I carried the sketch to.
Recipe:
Stamps: Akemi from InStyle Stamps

CBCC #34...Toys Toys Toys

This week's challenge at CBCC is Inspiration Station: Toys! Pick your child's, niece's, nephew's, or even your favorite childhood toy and use it as inspiration for your creation. At first I was scared of this challenge....but then after I thought about it I had a fabulous idea. When we were little my sister's favorite game was CANDY LAND....I played that with her many many many times! I used lollipops for the inspiration of my card! I thought it would be very cute to put a Gorjuss Girl sitting on top of a lollipop. I created the lollipop with my nesties (after I chose the colors I thought "oh no it looks like a bulls eye target" but after I gave it a stick and found my paper I thought it looked more like a lollipop then). Paper is DCWV and SU cardstock in Red Riding Hood. I used my Quickutz flourish die, and EK Success swirl punch. Ribbon and flowers are from my stash.
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers...I just turned the sketch upside down so that the ribbon wouldn't be hidden from the lollipop. Finally, a close up of Miss. Gorjuss! I colored her with my Copics.
Now, make on sure you head on over to the other chickies blogs (you can find their links in my side bar) to see the fabulous creations they have made. I can't wait to see what you make and what your inspiration is! Make sure you link your creation to Courtney's Blog for your chance to win some goodies!

Friday Sketchers #41 with Miss. Willow

WOW...I got to play along with Friday Sketchers this week! Yahoo!!!! I should have been studying for a literature exam that I have coming up on friday....but instead I chose to relax tonight by coloring and making this card: This week at Friday Sketchers there was a very fun sketch by Kristine....Of course you all know how much I love sketch challenges (they are my absolute favorite challenge...it's so fun to see how everyone interprets a sketch)! I used my WOJ Willow with Flowers and masked her with the WOJ accessory stamp called Fall Grass. Can you believe this is the VERY 1st time I have ever masked while stamping?! Yup....it is...and I had lots of fun doing it! :)

Willow was colored with my Copics, my curved rectangle nesties were used to cut the image out. The edge punch is my new EK Success Fleur de Lis punch that my hubby so gratefully picked up for me yesterday (a special thanks to my buddy Tara for enabling me....thanks so much hun I do love this punch!)! Also used my other EK Success swirl punch, and SU tag punch and SU sentiment from Best Yet collection. Raffia lace is from my great friend Rach (Rach I am LOVING this stuff...you are such a sweetheart....love ya!) and I cut slits in the raffia and wove ribbon in between for a softer look. Ribbon, flowers, spacer, and brad are from my stash. Papers are all SU....the new Raspberry Fizz collection....I can already see I am going to have to get another pack of this....I love these colors!!!!
And I carried Willow into the inside of my card, cut out with my Labels One nesties. Flowers were punched with my retro punches. Big-half-a-flower on the right is from my SU paper with EK Success swirls.
Thanks for stopping by!

CBCC #27 - Color Challenge

This week we have a color challenge to share with you over at Created by Courtney. These were VERY fun colors to use!The sketch I used was by Jacqueline over at Friday Sketchers (I definitely know I will be using this sketch again)! Of course I used one of my new Tilda stamps, colored her with my Copics. I used my Janome Sew Mini again and think I might just be getting the hang of sewing on paper now (especially since I didn't even know how to use a sewing machine...I haven't used one since 8th grade)! I used my new label nesties (that I got from Wish On A Scrap) for the panels behind Tilda. The corner swirl stamps on the panels are from my Stempelglede grunge collection! I used Shimmerz Blingz in pixie dust on Miss. Tilda's letter. I didn't have any cream/very vanilla colored primas, so I took some white ones that I had and colored them with my Copics to make them match my very vanilla CS. I then painted them with Shimmerz Blingz pixie dust to give them their shine and sparkle. Used my Martha branch punch. Ribbon, spacers, brads and flower rhinestones were from my stash.
I carried the design from the front of the card into the inside. I used another grunge stamp for the edging on my very vanilla CS. It is textured cardstock so when you stamp on it you get a very cool effect! I love how it turned out!

And for the back of my card I used my handmade stamp on very vanilla and stamped my circle grunge stamp around on tempting turquoise.

I hope you that you all decide to play along! Make sure you head over to Courtney's blog to leave the link to your creation for your chance to win a surprise! Head over to my side bar and check out what my fellow chickies have made! Can't wait to see what you create with our color challenge!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!
