WOJ #88 - A Special Thank You

Happy Wednesday~

Are you ready for another Whiff of Joy Challenge?  This week we are celebrating a very special milestone over at the WOJ Challenge Blog....it's our TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!  And seeing how we wouldn't have a wonderful challenge blog without our Whiff of Joy stamps.....this challenge we are devoting to a Special Thank You Challenge!  We would love to thank Whiff of Joy, Katharina (owner of WOJ), Simon Says Stamp, present and past DT members, and most importantly you our followers and participants because without all of you we wouldn't have this fun challenge blog!
I've used one of my favorite WOJ stamps, Willow with Hot Chocolate.  Papers are from the TH Vintage Shabby Collection.  Sentiment is from MFT.  I also got to use my new Magnolia Doohicky Dies on this beauty!

Willow was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  She was cut out with a SB Labels 14 and then the background has been airbrushed with B000, B01, W1, W3, and W5.  The label was then popped up onto my Marianne Frame Die
Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Arrangement 1 consists of a 25mm Rose, Cherry Blossoms, 15mm rose, and pink crystal stems.  Flowers were accented with Star Dust Stickles.
Arrangement 2 consists of 4mm closed rosebuds, 5mm closed rosebud, Gypsophila Stem, pearl sprays, pearl stars.  The bow was made with my Bow Easy, I just love the double sided ribbon.
Here is an angled view of Willow.  Here you can see the Star Dust Stickles that I have used on her shirt, pocket, and flowers on her jeans.  You also can see the Diamond Glaze that I added over her mug to make it appear more real.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

You're Fantastic & a Tutorial

Happy Friday!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I just got home from the funeral....it was sad, but I loved spending time after the service with my friend's family (or as I call them my "adopted" family)...they are the greatest!

Today I have a fun card to share with you and a tutorial too!  Lots of fun here today! :)  Do you remember -->THIS<-- project that I shared with you back in June?  Well I used the same image and made a tutorial to share with you how to create the beach scene that I made!  The tutorial, can be found  -->HERE<--  over at the SCACD Blog!  :)

Now onto the card, which I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
MME Bloom and Grow papers have been used on this card.   I have used By the Sea by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD.  She is from the Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection

I've colored her with Copics.  She has then been cut out with Spellbinders oval and scalloped oval.  For the background piece I have used Labels 11 and on the edges I have used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Kiwi and after making my pearls I then covered them with Glamour Dust for more sparkle.
Flower are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I've again used white flowers and my Copic ABS to airbrush them with the colors to match my cutie pie's swimsuit.  I've used  a Gardenia, and two 20mm roses. Flowers have been spritzed with Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer.

One more angle shot so you can see how the finished water looks!  Now head over -->HERE<-- to the SCACD blog to check out the tools you need to make your own water scene!  I'd also love if you'd link your water projects over at the tutorial because I'd really love to see your water work! :)

**Shopping News** Susana has recently gotten some amazing products in at the SCACD store!  She now has NEW SEI Velvet Papers...don't these sound amazing?! I can't wait to hold these in my hand!  She also has gotten in some jewelry findings....think pendants that you can create with....I definitely can't wait to get my hands on both of these products!!!  I'm super excited to create with both of them!!!  Happy Shopping to you!

Since our theme this month is SUMMER TIME I thought it would be fun to have a cute girly gift set!  My card features the new Lazy Days stamp!  Isn't she adorable?!  I love her to bits!  She would be perfect for any occasion.....birthday, hello, invitation, and friendship cards!  The keepsake box is a flip flop...how cute is that to go along with such a great summer time stamp?!
I wanted to use some fun bright summer colors so I dug out my Basic Grey Lemonade collection....love the pinks in this pack!  Flower are all primas!  The sketch I have used is from Sketch Saturday, such a fun layout!
Miss. Lazy Days has been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen!  I have added Illuminate Smooch to the flowers on her hat and the flowers on her shoes for some added sparkle.  Diamond Glaze has been used over her eyes to give them that beautiful shine.
I've used a MS border punch and to dress up the border I've used my Cream Viva Decor Pearl Pen to make some itty bitty pearls for some added pizzazz!  In this picture you can see that I have also colored this cutie's toenails to look like they are painted to match her outfit! :)  A girl's gotta have pretty toes with flip flops!
This bow was made with my Bow Easy!  Gotta love how effortless making a bow is now that I have that wonderful tool!  I would be lost without it....no I just wouldn't have bows on my cards! LOL!  You can find that gorgeous pin, -->here<--, I love the selection of pins Susana carries!  I added a butterfly charm and a couple pearls to this already gorgeous pin!
Here's the keepsake flip flop box!  It's been painted with pink acrylic paint, and then jazzed up with some Basic Grey Lemonade paper, some ribbon, rhinestones, and a flower gem!
Here is what the box looks like open!  Inside you will find this adorable cotton candy lipgloss keychain.  Such a fun treasure to fit perfectly inside the keepsake box.  This gift set will be available for sale in my shop shortly.  Click -->here<-- to go to my handmade store!

TIOT - Color Challenge

Hi Everyone~  I hope you are all having a nice Tuesday!  We are getting rain today and it says it's supposed to rain for most of the week!  Ick...but I guess we need it....it's super dry here!  Although I guess rain on school days isn't too terrible since I am stuck inside anyways!

If you aren't familiar with the SCACD Blog they have weekly challenges on Tuesdays!  Suzanne (our DT leader) gives us fun challenges each week to play with!  This week we have a fun color challenge!  The challenge is to use RED, YELLOW, VIOLET, and HOT PINK!  I have to tell you this was a hard challenge for me, as these aren't normal colors for me....I had the hardest time trying to find paper I wanted to use!  And that really shouldn't be a problem with all of the paper I have!  lol!
I made this fun Easter Card and Easter Basket for my sister!  For colors that I normally wouldn't think to use together I think this turned out to be a very fun creation time!
For my card I have used the Victoria Case Little Aud for SCACD.  I just LOVE the Victoria Case Hearts and Hugs Spring Collection!  Of course this card turned into another easel card...hee hee!  I've used the sketch from over at Sketch Saturday on this card.
Little Aud was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  Then I used my new Spellbinders Labels 10 that I got from my Mommy....thanks Mom!  You can find them -->HERE<-- this is my NEW favorite labels die...images fit WONDERFULLY inside this one!!!  Used a small MS butterfly punch and accented them with some white pearls.
Here's the bottom panel with my Easter Greetings!  Used those Labels 10 again along with Labels 4!
And another view so that you can see the dimension.  I hope you have enjoyed my first TIOT project!  I am looking so forward to the many more to come!  Don't forget to head over to the SCACD blog to see the other girl's amazing creations!

WOJ #73 - Recipe Challenge

Yes it's already Wednesday....WOW how this week is flying by....I'm sure it didn't help that I had an exam in my tax class yesterday....those exam days always seem to creep up and fly by....hope I did ok on this one....the last one didn't go very well.  Eeekkk!

But....on to more cheery matters!  WOW there were lots of great entries for Bev's Sketch challenge last week!  Thanks to all of those who played along with us!  Today over at the WOJ Challenge Blog we have a recipe challenge for you...a little bit of this and a dash of that....just kidding...what you need to use is 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 pattern papers....and of course a WOJ stamp!
I've decided this week I was going to make a bridal shower card....for a special person's shower that I have coming up in a week and a half so I thought I would get it done a head of time (I know...for me that NEVER happens...I'm usually two steps behind instead of ahead!)  The sketch I've used is from Sketch Saturday and as you can see it's another easel card....Gosh I just LOVE these!

Papers are from MM - the Sabrina Collection...I've had them laying around for a while now...I love how they are pink and black!  The wedding color is black then accented with pink...so I carried that through to my card.
I masked Willow with the rose swing and then colored with a few Copics, added Twinkling H2O (Heavenly White) to her veil.  I used Smooch Illuminate to the creases/shadows of her dress and then free-handed the decoration to the bottom of her dress with my Sakura clear pen.  I just love how the bright pink flower soft mixed with the shamrock and christmas green flower soft add such a fun detail!
The sentiment is from the WOJ Wedding Wishes and then I used my MS deep edge punch to get an extra large trellis.  Added my two heart buttons (which I almost forgot...ooopppss) and the shade of pink didn't match so I just grabbed my handy Copic RV25 to make them match!  Gotta LOVE Copics!
Here is the side view so you can see the dimension. I hope you have enjoyed your stay here...make sure to head over to the WOJ Challenge blog so you can see what the other girls have cooked up!

I am also entering this card into the Copic Creations Year Blogaversary Challenge!  One of my favorite tutorials of theirs has been hair color!  I love learning new coloring techniques...thanks ladies for all the inspirations and tips!  Wishing you many more wonderful years at your challenge blog!

And I would like to wish my Gram a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  Sending lots of hugs and kisses to you on this special day! XOXO  I do have my Gram's card done....but she's one of my avid readers so I can't share it with you until after this weekend when I get to hand deliver it to her!  Love you Gram!!!!

Sweet Love

Today I have some AMAZING news to share with you!  It all began this past Saturday....I was in a tax class for 5 hours getting certified so that I can prepare income taxes this tax season.  I will be working with lower income people through a program known as VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)...I'm so excited to start assisting and help those people who need it, and what a great experience it will be.....but that's not the good news!  As I was sitting in class, bored during the beginning of the session because it was all the info I learned in my last semester tax class, I got a message from Donalda asking me if I would:
Guest Design for the month of February
I didn't even have to think for a second.....my answer of course was a HUGE YES!!!  Thank you so very much Donalda for asking me to join your amazing team for this month!!!!  I am honored to be a part of this super talented team of amazing ladies!!!

Without further ado here is my first card as a part of the WOJ Challenge DT!

Our challenge this week is LOVE!  We want to see your creation with love!  I chose to use Sweet Teenage Lizzie with box of chocolates.  The sketch is based on Sketch Saturday which I flipped upside down. Papers are an older Basic Grey collection called Eva.

Lizzie was colored with my Copics.  I added Twinkling H2Os in the shaded areas for some more depth and of course to add shimmer. :)

The inside is decorated with some more BG Eva papers, hearts, and mini pearls inside the hearts for some added elegance.

And here is another angled view so you can see the shimmer from the Twinkling H2Os! I hope you have enjoyed my first creation for the WOJ Challenge Blog!  I hope you come over and join in the fun there and see what the other amazing girls have created!

Valentine Release Day 2

So if you started at the Stamps and Smiles Blog then you know Carl has lost all of his chocolates!  If you haven't been to the Stamps and Smiles Blog first -->Click Here<-- to go to the start of our game and have fun playing along....you really need to play because you have the chance to win today's feature digi set!

Make sure you head on over to the other DT girls blogs to continue collecting the chocolates!!!  You can find their links in my sidebar! :)

Now onto my sample featuring the Life is like a box of Chocolates!   I've used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday for my card and also have used the challenge over at Spoonful of Sugar which is to use lots of layers...every panel has 3 layers!  I've used Photoshop and merged the chocolates from the set with the heart box.

The mini hearts around the flower are from yesterday's digi set (Be My Valentine-Cuppy).  The small hearts on candy box are punched out from the MS border.  K&Company Lovely papers were used.

The chocolates and candy box were colored with my Copics.  I've used my Lipstick, Blossom, Chocolate and Clear Spicas on the icing on the choclates.

Here is the inside (left side) of the card.  I've used a new MS punch!  I love these hearts!!!  They are so elegant.

And here is the right side of the inside.  I've used the two individual chocolates to decorate this page along with the same MS border punch that was used on the front of the card.

Off To Jollyland We Go!

Hello Sweet Friends!  I hope everyone is having a joyful Sunday!  I have a card to share with you all featuring the NEW Jollyland and Winter Sentiments sets from Stamps and Smiles!  These are both available for sale right now over at the store!  What's fun about these sets is that they are wintery and can be used way past Christmas.

I used the Jollyland Full Image for my card....what's neat is that you can buy either the full image or you can buy the set with all the pieces to create your own image.  I have used my Imaginisce Polar Expressions papers which also can be used past Christmas!  They are perfect for winter scene cards.  Image was cut out with QuicKutz Nesting Label, and edged with my Gold Marker Pen.  Sketch is #85 from Sketch Saturday which I flipped sideways!

The image has been colored with my Copics and Spicas.  I have added liquid applique to the trees for added 3D texture.  The ground snow was created with Snow-Tex and then sprinkled with Glamour Dust.  I love how the Snow Tex looks like real drifts of snow.

From this view you can see more of the sparkle and shimmer of the image.  I used Lavender and Orange Spicas on the lollipop spirals.  Turquoise Spica was used on the tiny snowman on lefts gloves.  Silver Spica was used on Mr. Snowman's hat.  Snickerdoodle Smooch was used on Mrs. Snowman's hat and bow tie.  Moonlight Smooch was used on the white stripes of the candy cane and the sticks of the lollipops.  Diamond Stickles added the bling to all the snowflakes.

Right now Jennifer has a great sale on the new digi images!  You can save 15%....click -->HERE<-- to head over to the store right now!  Happy Shopping!
