Card Patterns Sketch #137

Hello, there!  Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  It's another nice fall day here in AL!  I can't wait to get outside to enjoy it!  Before I do, I am sharing my DT card for this week's Card Patterns Sketch.  This week, we are being sponsored again by Sparkle Creations.

And here is my take on the sketch:

Sparkle generously provided the DT with some images to use for our cards.  Just in time for Halloween, I chose this fun image called Broomstick Lucy.  I colored her with Copic markers and added Stickles here and there for some extra shimmer. She was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circle Nestabilities.  I used fun papers from the K & Co. Kelly Panacci Halloween pad for my background panels.  Some Halloween ribbon and a few purple gems finished my card.

My card is also for this week's challenge (#106) on the Just Us Girls blog ,which was a color challenge.

Here is the color inspiration:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to will visit the Card Patterns blog and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the Card Patterns DT, Sparkle and Peggy, and our very-talented Guest Designer, Jeanne!  I know you'll love their creations and we hope you'll be inspired to play along with us!

Card Patterns Sketch #133

Good morning!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I'm still struggling with my laptop crashing, but this time, the Geek Squad think they can fix it and recover my data.  Time will tell.  I managed to retake my photos and load everything I needed to my main computer so I'm able to share my DT card for this week's Card Patterns sketch.  This week's challenge is sponsored by Sparkle Creations.  You should definitely check out all of the adorable stamps in Sparkle's store!

And here is my take on the sketch:

I flipped the sketch to vertical.  Sparkle generously provided some images for the DT to use for our cards.  I chose this super cute image called Backpack Oliver for mine.  I started with a card base of SU Blue Bayou and layered with GKD Cranberry Tart and patterned paper from the Basic Grey Oliver 6x6 pad.  I colored Oliver with Copic Markers.  The image was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Petite Ovals Nestabilities.  A few coordinating brads finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Card Patterns Sketch Blog and check out the fabulous samples from my incredibly talented CP teammates, some of the Sparkle Creations DT and our wonderful CP Guest Designer, Monika.  We'd love to have you play along with us!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Card Patterns Sketch #129

Good morning!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I've got lots to do today so I'm dropping by now to share my DT card for this week's Card Patterns Sketch.   This week's challenge is sponsored by Sparkle Creations.  Be sure to check out the cute stamps in Sparkle's store!

Here is my take on the sketch:

Sparkle generously provided the DT with some fun images to create our cards.  I chose Cupcake Ruby.  Isn't she cute with that giant yummy cupcake?  I started with a card base of GKD Smoky Slate and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hazel 6x6 pad.  I used a Martha Stewart Daisy Edger Punch for the horizontal borders.  I stamped Ruby with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored her with Copic markers.  I added some Liquid Pearls to her jewelry and hair pins.  The berries on the cupcake were covered with Glossy Accents and the candle flame with Stardust Stickles.  I layered and popped everything up to finish my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to stop by the Card Patterns Sketch blog and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the Card Patterns design team, our wonderful guest designer, Leann, and some from the Sparkle Creations DT, too.  I'm sure you will be inspired to play along with us!

Have a terrific weekend!
