Never Too Old

Hi again!  I'm up now and back with a super quick post to share a card I made for a friend's birthday and a couple of challenges I do when I can.  Weekends are usually pretty quiet on my blog, but I had this one done on my desk just waiting for pics.

My card base and mats are GKD Turquoise Sea and the patterned papers are from the Pink Paislee House of Three Soiree collection.  The fun image is a digi called Happy Hour from Kenny K.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added glitter to the polka dots on her dress, Liquid Pearls to her necklace, earrings and bracelet and Glossy Accents to her glass. She is popped up on Pop-Dots. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be around a little later this morning to visit.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Seems A Little Sketch #52 (sketch)
Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew Challenge #159 (pumps and pearls)
Twisted Tuesday Challenge #63 (challenge: use pop-dots; twist: use polka dots)

Classy and Fabulous

Hi again!  I'm back with a second (and super quick) post today to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I wanted to do, one of which is ending nearly as we speak, so I'll be snappy.

Here is my card:

I made another center step card.  My base and mats are SU Basic Black and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue Petite Papers pack.  My fun images are Socialite and Frieda Flapper from Kenny K.  You can find them as digis in the Kenny K. downloads store and as rubber stamps in the Whimsy Stamps store here.  I used the digis.  I printed them on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored them with my Copics.  I cut them out, along with their mats, using my Cameo.  I added a bunch of Stickles and Ice White Pearl Pen accents to their dresses and jewelry.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I added only a few purple diamond gems as embellishments and called it a day.

Here is a close-up of the images:

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be by to visit over the weekend when I hope to have a little extra time.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Kenny K. Kraft Crew Challenge # 148 (seeing double - use two KK images)
Whimsy Stamps Challenge #60 (shaped cards)

Hugs and Kisses

Hi there!  Happy Friday!  It's been a crazy week, so I'm glad the weekend is nearly here.  I'm popping in to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do when I can.  I'll keep it brief since I need to run out the door pretty soon.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Real Red and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is Sweet Melissa from Kenny K.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I was experimenting with a different hair color I saw mentioned on someone's blog.  Not sure about it, but it was a nice change.  The combo was E59, E19, E08, YR24 and Y26 in case you are interested.  I added a bit of Star Dust Stickles to her pendant and that was it for the image.  I cut her out with my Cameo.  There are a bunch of other Cameo cuts here - the heart square frame and the heart circle frame were freebies from one of my Silhouette groups on-line and the swirly corner were from a free cut file that was generously shared at Bird's Cards. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few pink gems and a couple of Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

That's it for now.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll be by to visit as soon as I get back this afternoon.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Kenny K.'s Krafty  Krew #129 (hearts and flowers)
Basic Grey Challenges #86 (love is in the air)
Polka Doodles #6 (Valentine love)
Stampin' With The Dragon (love is in the air)
Papertake Weekly (anything goes)
Through The Craftroom Door (anything goes)

Here is a close-up of the image:

My card base and mats for all the layers are SU Basic Black. I layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Journey and Echo Park Victoria Garden (music) 6x6 pads.  The fun image is Rock Chick, a digi stamp from Kenny K.  I printed her on X-Press it and colored her with my Copics.  The guitar sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It's also colored with Copics.  Three strips of metal studs from one of my Webster's Pages Trim Cards (sorry, not sure which one) finished my card.

Inspired by Water

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  It's been a crazy week and even today, I've gotten off to a bit of a late start.  I am finally here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "inspired by the elements".  We want to see you project inspired by earth, water, fire or air.  Otherwise, the only requirement is to have some coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

I was inspired by water.  My card base and mat are SU Pool Party and the patterned paper is from the Kaisercraft Devonshire 6x6 pad.  For the underwater background, I used the Sandy Sea Floor digistamp from Make it Crafty.  I printed it on Neenah Solar White and colored it using the Copic background coloring technique that Shelby shared on her blog this week.   I used Colorless Blender and my E31 refill for the sand and BG0000 refill for the sea.  It's hard to see, but I made some rays of light coming through the sea with Colorless Blender.  All the other elements were colored as usual with Copic markers.  I added White Opal Liquid Pearls and Crystal Stickles to the bubbles.  My fun image is Mermaid from Kenny K.  You can find her in the on-line store here.  I printed her on Neenah and colored her with my Copics.  I used the Glistening Scales technique that Franz shared on the Make it Crafty Store Inspiration Blog.   Briefly, after coloring with Copics, I painted the tail with African Jade Twinkling H2Os, then added lots of Crystal Stickles to the scales.    A bit more Stickles on the shells and fish finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the mermaid:

I am also entering my card in the Oozak Challenge #6 (sparkle), One Stop Craft Challenge #99 (no floral embellishments) and Whimsy Stamps Challenge #51 (anything goes).

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the amazing projects from the rest of the DT and our wonderful Guest Designer for September, NanaConnie! We hope you will play along this week!  Our September challenges are being generously sponsored by Kenny K.  One lucky participant in this month's challenges will win 5 Kenny K. digis of their choice!

In addition, there are are always fantastic prizes up for grabs each month when you enter any of the challenges at The Outlawz, so head on over and join in on the fun!

Have a great day and a great weekend and I hope to see you again soon!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi again!  Yep, it's me again!  I'm back this Friday morning.  It's a little later and I'm actually awake by now! I'm here to post my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  This week's theme is "inspired by your school colors".  It can be your high school, college, grad school, hometown, new town, kids', or grandkids' colors!  I think you get the picture.  Any school colors, as long as you have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project. I decided to use the colors of Alabama's Crimson Tide.   College football is huge around here!  Sorry to any Auburn fans, but I had to pick sides and how could you not be a Bama fan when you live here?

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used GKD Lipstick Red cardstock for my card base and mats.  The shiny dotted paper is from Kaisercraft's Miss Nelly 6.5x6.5 pad.  My fun school-related image is Cheerleader from KennyK. I printed her on Neenah Solar White and colored her with my Copics (mainly R32, R35, R37, R89).   I added loads of red glitter to her pom poms. The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some crimson Satin ribbon and a bunch of Recollections adhesive red glitter stars finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

I am entering my card in these challenges, too: Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew #109 (back to school), Addicted-To-Stamps Challenge #38 (lots of bling), Oozak Challenge #006 (sparkle) and Friday Sketch Challenge #25 (sketch).

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fab creations from the rest of the DT and our wonderful Guest Designer for September, NanaConnie.  We hope you will play along with our school colors challenge.  Our September challenges are being generously sponsored by KennyK.

One randomly-selected participant in our September challenges will win 5 digis of the choice from KennyK's on-line store!  You definitely don't want to miss out on a chance to win this fantastic prize!

Have a great Friday and weekend and hope to see you soon!

You're So Cool

Hi!  Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a good day! We are getting some rain today from the aftermath of Isaac, but it's nothing to speak of.  Just another rainy day.  I'm here to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  It is for Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew Challenge #108 (anything goes), Incy Wincy Designs (for a boy), Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 169 (sketch), Cute Card Thursday #232 (stitching) and The Squirrel and The Fox Challenge #25 (one for the men).

Here is SSW-169:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I used SU Not Quite Quite Navy for my base and sketch panels and layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  I machine-stitched around the border and sketch panels.  My cool image is Teen Idol from Kenny K.  I printed him on X-Press It and colored with my Copics. Despite buying a few new markers, the Es (especially E25 and E29) are still giving me trouble, so I guess it's time to switch papers.  I highlighted the MP3 player, earphones and the grommets on his boots with a Letraset Silver Metallic marker.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Stuff Happens set in Paulette's store here.  Some grosgrain ribbon and a button stitched with Baker's Twine finished my card.

Here is a close-up:

Thanks for stopping by!  It's been a busy week, but I'm planning to spend some time this afternoon visiting your blogs.  I know I've missed a lot.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

A Little Sassy

Hi again.  I'm back with a second post today because after I got home, I was able to finish another card I had in the works.  This one is for the Kenny K. Krafty Krew Challenge #107 - get sketchy.  It is also this week's Divas by Design Challenge #49 (anything goes).

Here is the KKKK sketch:

Here is my card:

I used SU Not Quite Navy cardstock and layered the sketch panels with patterned papers from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Freshman from Kenny K.  I printed her on Copic X-Press-It and colored her with my Copics.  Some of my E markers are still misbehaving, so I am waiting for replacements. They should be here tomorrow.  I hope that fixes my blending issues.  I added a bit of Star Dust Stickles to the white trim on her top and Lime Green Stickles to her necklace and bracelet.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the A Day In The Life Word Art set in Paulette's store here.  A few green pearls from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  I will be back tomorrow with my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz.

You're The Bomb!

Hi there!  Have you had a good week?  Can't believe it is already Thursday!  I've had a lot going on and haven't had a chance to craft or blog much before now.  I'm popping in to share the card I made for a few challenges I wanted to do.  It is for Sketch Saturday #219, Kenny K's Krafty Krew #105 (favorite ice cream colors), Papertake Weekly #75 (anything goes) and Divas by Design #47 (for a female).

Here is SS-219:

My favorite ice creams are pistachio, coffee and vanilla, so those are the colors (roughly) I used.  I started with a card base of SU Baja Breeze and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Nutmeg 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Da Bomb from Kenny K.  I printed it on Copic X-Press It and colored with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some ribbon and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Sugar and Spice

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today so I can share the card I did for a couple of challenges I like to do when I can.  It is for Kenny K.s Krafty Krew #103 (strawberries and cream), the Corrosive Challenge #154 (cheeky, saucy, sassy) and the Coloring Challenge #48 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom (anything goes with a girly twist).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with GKD Red Hot cardstock and layered with strawberry patterned papers from the Gina K. Berries & Vines 6x6 pack.  My sassy image is Sweet Melissa from Kenny K.  She looks so sweet and innocent, doesn't she?  I wouldn't be too sure about that!!  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I added Liquid Pearls to her necklace and silver studs to her shoes with my Letraset Silver Metallic Pen.   She is framed with a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motif.

Here is a close-up of Melissa:

My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and a few adhesive pearls from my stash finished my card.

Big Birthday

Hi again!  I finished up with all my appointments so I'm popping back in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  I knew I would miss the deadlines if I didn't get it posted today.  It's for Kenny K's Krafty Krew Challenge #102 (big birthday), Oozak Challenge #4 (bright colors), Love to Create Challenge #23 (photo inspiration) and Sketch Saturday #215.

Here is SS-215:

Here is the photo inspiration for LTC-23:

Here is my card for all the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Basic Black and layered with bright birthday papers from Moxxie's It's Your Day collection.  The fun image is OMG from Kenny K.    I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some sparkle with a Letraset Metallic Silver pen, Spica Pens and a bit of Stickles here and there.

Here is a close-up of the image:

For the birthday numbers, I added lots of Turquoise Stickles to numbers from an adhesive alpha set in my stash.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A few turquoise rhinestones from my stash finished my "big birthday" card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll have a few things to share over the next day or two so I hope to see you again soon!

Born To Be Wild

Hi there!  Hope you've had a good day!  It was a very busy one for me so I'm just getting to pop in and post the card I made for a few challenges.  It is for the May Sketch For You To Try on Jen Del Muro's blog, Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #94 (paper piecing), Through The Craft Room Door Challenge (photo inspiration), Our Creative Corner Challenge (also photo inspiration; use orange, blue and white or cream and brown) and Love to Create Challenge #16 (sentiment inspired by a song).

Here is the May SFYTT:

Here is the TTCRD inspiration photo:

and the OCCC inspiration photo:

Finally, here is my card:

I layered the sketch panels with patterned papers in the inspiration colors from the Authentique Gathering 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Bling Baby from Kenny K.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored all but her outfit with my Copics.  I printed a second image on patterned paper from the same pad and paper-pieced her clothes.  The sentiment, inspired by the song Born To Be Wild, is from Create With TLC.  I finished my card by adding a bit of shimmer to her turquoise jewelry with a Spica pen.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!
