Diva

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your day has started off great!  We had some thunderstorms yesterday and I think we can expect some more rain today.  It's keeping the temperatures down and giving our poor grass a drink, so it's all OK.  Before I move on with the day, I'm popping in to share the card I made for the Jackson's Digital Expressions July Release challenges.  Challenge #14 this week is anything goes with the twist to use a coloring medium.  My card also fit the first July release challenge (#11), which was to feature any flowers except roses.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of Elegant Eggplant and layered with patterned papers from the Memory Box Viola 6x6 pack.  My elegant image is Diva by Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  You can find her in the Females section of Robert's store here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It and colored her with my Copics.  I added Star Dust Stickles to her shawl and headband and Purple Stickles to her gown.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  No roses here, just a Wild Orchid Crafts Gardenia and two Cherry Blossoms to finish off my card.

Here is a close of the Diva:

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and I hope to see you back soon!

Your Big Moment!

Hi there!  Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a great weekend and you have fun plans for the week ahead!  Sheesh, was it ever hot this weekend!  My thoughts go out to everyone still dealing with the high heat and storms and lack of power.  Although we had temps in the 100's, we did not lose power.   It's been raining all day here today.  We really needed it after several weeks with no rain, so no complaints.  Anyway, I didn't have much time in the craft room or on the computer this weekend for a variety of reasons, but I did manage to make one card for Jackson's Digital Expressions Challenge # 10 (anything goes with sketch optional).

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Red Hot and layered bright patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Fine & Sunny 6.5x6.5 pad.  For the banner across the top, I used one of the diecuts from the same pad, to which I added a few rhinestones.   My fun image is At The Casino from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  It is in the Seniors section of Robert's store here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Stickles here and there for some sparkle and Glossy Accents to her glasses and a few places on the slot machine.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A few more rhinestones and a chevron-striped bow finished off my card.

My card is also for the new Oozak Challenge #4 - Bright Colors.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to get back in the swing of things this week!  See you soon!

You're So Cool

Hi there!  Hope you've had a great weekend!  It's been quite a soggy one here, which is fine for crafting indoors, but not so great for the golfers and attendees at the Regions Traditions Golf Tournament being held just down the road from me at Shoal Creek.  I had hoped to go watch the final round today, but no way I am standing out in the rain to watch golf!  I will watch the replay on TV later.

Since I didn't go, I had time to finish up a card I was making for a couple of challenges.  It is for Jackson's Digital Expression Challenge #7 (anything goes with option to use inspiration colors) and Basic Grey Challenge #69 (clean and simple).

Here is the JDE color inspiration:

Here is my card:

And a close-up of the image:

I started with a card base of SU Not Quite Navy and layered with patterned papers in the inspiration colors from the Basic Grey Marjolaine 6x6 pad.  My image is Girlz Night Out from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Stickles to her shoes, jewelry and cocktail.  I added Glossy Accents over the Stickles on the glass.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.   I kept the lines clean and the layout fairly simple.  Some ribbon and a Webster's Pages Sparkler were my only embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your day and hope to see you soon!

It's All About Me

Good morning!  Happy Memorial Day to everyone celebrating here in the US!  It's been a busy weekend and I only have quick minute to pop in and share the card I made for this week's Jackson's Digital Expressions Challenge (Anything Goes #5 - optional sketch and use two colors).

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card for the challenge:

I did use the sketch but tweaked the base card shape from rectangle to square.  I mainly used shades of two colors, browns and blues.  I started with a card base of SU chocolate Chip and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Bloom 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Lil Cowgirl from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some Baker's Twine and a button from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your day and hope to see you again soon!

Take My Advice

Hi there!  Phew!  It's been a busy week so far!  I haven't had much of a chance for crafting with everything else going on, but I did manage to make a card for this week's challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions.  The challenge is now always "anything goes", but the option was to use pink, yellow and brown for our creation.

Here is my card:

I went with the option, but my yellow is a little more orange, I think.   Anyway, I started with  a card base of Papertrey Berry Sorbet and layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Uncommon and the Kaisercraft Devonshire 6x6 pads. My image is I Ain't One To Gossip, But from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles to their earrings and I used my silver Spica Pen on the silver metal parts.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It is part of her Hissy Fit set.  I'm not sure if this set is moved over to the new store yet.  A striped ribbon bow and some yellow-orange rhinestones finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great evening and I hope to be back soon to post a few more things I'm working on and to check out your blogs.

Irresistible

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!  Can't believe the week is halfway by already!  I am feeling a little better every day so I hope to be back to normal soon.  I am popping in really quickly to share a card I made for a couple of challenges.  It is for the first challenge on the new Jackson's Digital Expression blog. The team launched the new blog and challenges on Monday and I thought I'd  play along.  The theme this time is "anything goes".  I used Card Patterns Sketch #160 for my layout.

Here is the Card Patterns sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with patterned papers from the Prima Melody 6x6 pad.  My image is She's Fierce from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  You can find her on his site here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added some Stardust and Peacock Stickles and some clear rhinestones for some sparkle on her hat, handbag and earrings.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A few more rhinestones and some Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you soon!
