Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Happy Friday!  What a crazy week it's been - so glad the weekend is finally here!  I am popping in to share the card I made as Guest Designer for the Copic/Promarker Challenge (CPC061711) on The Outlawz site.  This week's challenge was to color pleats and folds.  I am also submitting my card to the Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World.  Here is the inspiration photo for the Tuesday Trigger - Rainbow Bright:

Here is my card for both challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Turquoise Sea and layered with fun striped paper from the Basic Grey Gypsy 6x6 pad.  My image is BBBFA from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I know I used this image for another challenge earlier in the week, but I thought their outfits were perfect for the Pleats & Folds challenge, so I used it again, but colored it up a little differently this time.  I used Copics for my coloring and highlighted with Spica pens.  A wrinkled ribbon bow and a puffy heart sticker finished my simple card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!  Have a fantastic weekend!

Tuesday Trigger - A Burst Of Blooms

Good morning!  I have a super quick post to share the card I made for last week's Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World

Here is the trigger photo:

I used Sketch #212 from Card Positioning Systems, but I was unable to make the deadline for that challenge because we lost internet service during a severe storm last night.

Here is the sketch anyway:

Here is my take on the trigger:

A very simple card - I used several crocheted flowers that I won a while back from pixiepetals Etsy shop. They reminded me of the crocheted flower doilies in the trigger photo.  I added buttons to the flower centers and suspended them from some twine.  A simple sentiment from Gina K. Designs Wild At Heart set finished it.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

Moxie Fab World - Tuesday Trigger

Good morning!  Only one more day until Friday - yay!  The weather has been cold and rainy this week and certainly not conducive to being outdoors!  Wish that could translate into more time for stamping - lol!
Anyway, I wanted to share the card I made for this week's Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World

Here is the Trigger:

I loved the color combo and graphic design of this handpainted towel. My card is also for the CAS Challenge (CAS0327) on The Outlawz site which this week was a sketch challenge:

Here is my card:

I was definitely inspired by the colors and the clean and classic style of the towel.  I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White.  I added a graphic turquoise patterned paper from Bo Bunny called Gypsy Lace.  I cut the medallions from SU Pumpkin Pie with the new Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents and Floral Doily Motifs and added a turquoise button to the centers.  The sentiment is from the Gina K. Designs set, Hope Grows. A simple knotted ribbon in Pumpkin finished my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Tuesday Trigger and Card Patterns Sketch 103

Good evening! You must have thought I disappeared!  I didn't - I just seem to be very busy with real life lately and it's been hard to stop long enough to make cards and get them posted here.  That said, tonight I am sharing a card I made for Card Patterns Sketch 103 and this week's Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World - Flower Power.  It's a very special week on the Card Patterns blog because they are celebrating their two year anniversary!  There are lots of inspiring designs and some great prizes, so you'll definitely want to check it out!
Here is the Card Patterns sketch:

And here is this week's Trigger photo:

Here is my take on both challenges:

Anyone who knows me knows this is definitely NOT my usual style, but as soon as I saw the Trigger photo, I knew I had to pull out my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die and give it a go.  I cut out three each of the three smallest of the florals using SU Rich Razzleberry, Taken With Teal, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss cardstock.  I layered the three flowers with one of each size in the various color combos and added a coordinating rhinestone to the center of each flower.  I popped the flowers up on different levels with foam tape.  I added a Basic Grey button in the same colors to the border of each flower and that was it.

Thanks for popping by!  See you soon!

Tuesday Trigger and Just Us Girls #72

Hi there!  Where on earth did the whole weekend go?  I can't believe it's already Sunday evening!  I have a card to share that I made for two challenges - the "Comfy Cozy" Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World and the Just Us Girls Challenge #72 which this week was a color challenge hosted by Kathryn.

Here is the trigger photo:

And here are the colors for the JUGS challenge:

Finally, here is my card for both challenges:

What a wonderful coincidence that the colors for the JUGS challenge were the primary colors in the trigger photo!  I took my inspiration from the colors, the pretty florals in the rug and throw pillows and the touch of soft blue in the painted wall and striped pillows.  My card base is GKD Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight Ivory.  The patterned paper is from the Webster's Pages Spring Market/Yacht Club/Country Estate Petite Papers pack.  It is matted with GKD Kraft.  I added some light aqua wrinkled seam binding and a small rose I made from Naturals Ivory CS using a Marvy flower punch.  The rose was distressed with Tim Holtz Antique Linen and Tattered Rose Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Lovely Labels 2 set and it is stamped with SU Vintage Violet.  A small pearl flourish from Recollections (Michael's) finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!

Tuesday Trigger - Sweets For The Sweet

I had a little time to play this afternoon, so I decided to make a card for this week's Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World - Sweets For The Sweet!  What a yummy looking inspiration we had to work with!

Here is this week's trigger:

Here is my take on it:

I used this week's Sketch 99 from the Card Patterns blog for my layout.  I started with a base of Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury Cranberry Tart CS.  The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Bittersweet collection.  The pattern of the bottom panel reminded me of the flourishes inside the candy box.  The hot pink center panel and soft burgundy wrinkled silk ribbon were inspired by the colored tissue paper lining the box.  I created a scalloped border to mimic the one on the box.  Finally, I punched 3 hearts with an EK Success heart punch then covered them with glitter to make three yummy "fudge hearts". Each got its own little scalloped "holder".  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Happy Hearts set (by Tami Mayberry). It's clear embossed and cut out with Scallop and Classic Circle Nestabilities.

I truly appreciate you stopping by!  Have a great evening!
