Holy Cow!

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  It's hard to believe it's Thursday again and that we are already into August!  Yikes!  I'm popping in to share the card I made for a few challenges.  First, it's for Mo's DP2 Challenge #146 - anything goes with a Mo's image.  Always fun!  It is also for Sketch Saturday #218 and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #196 (bright and cheerful).

Here is SS-218:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Red Hot and layered with patterned papers from October Afternoon Sidewalks 8x8 pad.  My adorable Mo's image is Moo.  You can find it in Mo's store here.  I just love the expression on this cutie's face!  I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles to the little flowers.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Three Wild Orchid Crafts roses and a few pearls added to the scalloped border finished my card.

Go Team USA

Good afternoon!  Happy Wednesday!  We're halfway to the weekend again!  How did that happen?  Not that it's not a good thing - lol!  Just amazed at how the time flies by!  I'm popping in really quickly to share a card I made for a couple of challenges.  It is for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #195 (Olympics/sports), the One Stop Craft Challenge #192 (Olympics/sports) and Seems A Little Sketchy #18 (sketch).

Here is SALS #18:

Here is my card:

I used SU Night of Navy cardstock and layered with patterned papers from October Afternoon.  I'm not sure which 8x8 pads, because the pieces were in my scrap bag.  My cute image is Soccer/Football from MayzyArt.  You can find her in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I went online and had a look at the Team USA Women's Soccer uniforms for the Olympics and tried to color as closely as possible to that.    The simple sentiment was done with a sticky alpha set from my stash.    I finished the card with a couple of pieces of navy stitched ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope things will stay quiet so I can get around to visit your blogs tonight!

Have a good one!

Need Coffee!

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  Once I had a couple of cups of my favorite coffee, I was good to go!  Before that, not so much!  I'm popping in to share the project I made for the MayzyArt Challenge #5 - Anything But A Card.   I often have a tough time with these challenges as I'm really a card person, but for this one, I knew right away what I wanted to do.

Here is my project:

I'm going to show a couple more views because it was really hard to get good pics of this for some reason.  I  covered a recycled coffee bag with patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus 12x12 pad.  I used another of the papers for the band around the bag where the label was.  My cute image is Shawna With Latte from MayzyArt.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.   The fun sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I printed it out and cut it into single words.  I thought this would make perfect for a gift of whole bean coffee for one of my coffee addict friends!

Here is a close-up with the sentiment:

And finally a close-up of just Shawna:

I am also entering my card in the Charisma Cardz Challenge #27 (recycle something - I recycled the coffee bag) and the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #194 (food and drink).
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and hope to see you soon!

Tiny Blessings

Good afternoon!  Happy Sunday!  Have you had a good weekend?  The weather has been gorgeous here and I've been busy running around like crazy, so not much time in the craft room.  I do have one card to share that I made for a few challenges I like to do when I can.  It is for Sketch Saturday #210, the June One Sweet Challenge (use blue, green and yellow), Crafts and Me Challenge #86 (add a ribbon), Oozak Challenge #3 (two patterned papers and lots of embellishments) and the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #188 (anything goes).

Here is the SS-210 sketch I worked with:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Soft Sky and layered with two patterned papers from the Prima Sun Kiss 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is Elisabeth Bell's Twinkle Toes New Beginnings from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Stickles to her wings and the center of the sunflower on top of her head.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I added a small bit of a gemstone flourish from Zva Creative.  I finished my card with some soft blue stitched ribbon and a small yellow rose from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by!  I always appreciate your visits!  Hope to see you again soon!Photobucket

Spread Your Wings

Hi there!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend!  I sure did!  It was so much fun meeting up with crafty friends from The Outlawz at the Rodeo in Baltimore this weekend!  We had a great time and we're already thinking about another one next year! You'll definitely want to get in on the fun next time!  Huge kudos and thanks to Colleen, the leader of The Outlawz site, who worked so hard to plan this fantastic event!  Thanks also to Suzanne Dean and Marti Wills for their wonderful classes and to everyone who sponsored or helped out!  I think I can say that a fabulous time was had by all who attended!

OK, on to my card.  I am really trying to catch up from being away from the computer and the craft room for three days.  Today, I am sharing a card I made for a few challenges: the Little Miss Muffet Challenge #35 (anything goes), Oozak Challenge #2 (spring colors), the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #186 (in the garden) and the Papertake Weekly Challenge (also in the garden).

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Baja Breeze and layered with patterned papers from the Memory Box Minuet 6x6 pad.  I merged two images, Park Bench For Two from Make it Crafty and Butterfly Kisses from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I printed the merged garden scene on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored with my Copics. I sponged in the sky with my cloud template.  I added a bit of Stickles to the butterfly and some sparkle to her flip flops and tee shirt with Spica pens.   A sentiment from Create With TLC finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great evening and hope to see you soon!
