Card Patterns #208 (and more)

OK, I'm back faster than I thought!  This is my second post today as I am trying to catch up on my favorite challenges before I have to travel this weekend.  This time I have a card I made for this week's sketch  challenge (#108) on the Card Patterns Sketch blog.

Here is the great sketch we had to work with:

My card is also for the Greeting Card Challenge (GC032711) on The Outlawz site which was to use our favorite colors, favorite image or favorite sentiment on our card.  I used my favorite colors, blue and green.  The Color Challenge on Splitcoast (CC316) this week also featured my fave blue and green combo - Marina Mist, Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery.

Here is my card for the challenges:

I flipped the sketch to vertical for my card.  I started with a card base of SU Marina Mist and layered with Certainly Celery.  The patterned paper with all three challenge colors is from Prima's Annalee 6x6 pad.  I stamped the flowers from the Gina K. Designs Buds and Vases set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White Iridescent and colored with Copic markers.  I highlighted the flowers with a White Gel Pen.  The sentiment is from the GKD set, Arranged With Love. It was cut with a Spellbinders Labels Eleven die and airbrushed with BG000 while still in the die.  I also lightly airbrushed the white Kaiser flowers and a white doily from my stash.  I popped up the flowers and sentiment, added the flowers and that was it.

Thanks for coming by again today!  I appreciate your visits every time!

Moxie Fab World - Tuesday Trigger

Good morning!  Only one more day until Friday - yay!  The weather has been cold and rainy this week and certainly not conducive to being outdoors!  Wish that could translate into more time for stamping - lol!
Anyway, I wanted to share the card I made for this week's Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World

Here is the Trigger:

I loved the color combo and graphic design of this handpainted towel. My card is also for the CAS Challenge (CAS0327) on The Outlawz site which this week was a sketch challenge:

Here is my card:

I was definitely inspired by the colors and the clean and classic style of the towel.  I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White.  I added a graphic turquoise patterned paper from Bo Bunny called Gypsy Lace.  I cut the medallions from SU Pumpkin Pie with the new Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents and Floral Doily Motifs and added a turquoise button to the centers.  The sentiment is from the Gina K. Designs set, Hope Grows. A simple knotted ribbon in Pumpkin finished my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Teapot Tuesday and Card Positioning Systems #211

Good morning!  I have a card to share this morning that I made for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge (MMTPT139) on Splitcoast. You can read all about the challenge here.  This week's Destination Station is Mt. Vernon, Indiana.  We are sending our cards (and if possible, some extra stamping supplies) to Ashley, an avid stamper and cardmaker, who lost most of her stamping/scrapbooking supplies when her family's home was flooded recently.  You can read about Ashley's story here.  Despite her own losses, Ashley has been helping out other flood victims in her community.  Hopefully our cards will bring Ashley a smile and she'll also get some much needed supplies to help her build back her crafting stash.

Here is a photo of the inspiration teapot:

I used Card Positioning Systems Sketch #211 for my layout.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I shamelessly cased this fabulous card from my friend, Dawn, because I knew this fun Diva from Mo's Digital Pencil would be perfect for the Teapot challenge.  Please don't compare our coloring because Dawn's is awesome - mine, not so much - lol!  I used some dotted DP from the Memory Box Snow & Cedar pad and layered it on SU Pink Pirouette.  I colored the image with Copic markers, then added White Opal Liquid Pearls to her necklace, earrings and crown.  I added Polar White Flower Soft to her feather boa.  A big pink satin bow finished it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great day!

Just Us Girls #77 - Zipper Flower

Hello!  Hope you've had a great day!  I am popping in quick to share the card I made for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge #77 - to create a flower from a zipper and use it on our project.

What a fun challenge!  I've seen these flowers around, but have never given them a try.  Dana shared a terrific tutorial she wrote for the Want2Scrap blog and I used that to create my flower.

My card is also for last week's Sketch Challenge (SC0323) on The Outlawz site.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card for both challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Taken With Teal and layered with patterned paper from the K & Co. Que Sera Sera pad.  I created the zipper flower following Dana's tutorial.  I added a gem to the center of the flower and some ribbon leaves to finish it.  My Magnolia image is Tilda With Small Gift and I colored her with Copic markers and highlighted with Spica pens.  The image panel and mats were cut with Spellbinders Scallop and Plain Petite Ovals.  A little teal bow and it was done.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be back soon to share a few other challenge cards that I've been working on!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #75

Hi there!  What a weird weather day we had here in NC!  It was only in the high 30s and there was even some sleet and a few flurries in the area!  What's up with that??  It's almost April - I am SO ready for warmer weather!  Tonight, I am sharing the card I made for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #75 - Show Me Some Attitude!  As soon as I saw it, I knew I would have a lot of fun with this one! I used this week's Sketch Challenge from Paper Craft Planet (sk032611) for my layout.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card for both challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Rose Red and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Hello Luscious 6x6 pad.  My image "with attitude" is Bossy from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I think she's just too cute!   I colored her with Copics.  I added a button and a bit of ribbon from my stash and that was it.  This little girl speaks for herself - lol!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great night!

The Play Date Cafe #74 (and more)

Good afternoon!  I've been having such a good time visiting with my dear friends from Michigan that I haven't had much time for card-making this weekend.  My friend is also a stamper so we grabbed a little crafting time this afternoon!  This is the card I made for this week's challenge over in the Play Date Cafe (PDCC74).

Here is the inspiration photo for the challenge:

My card is also for the Prismas and Other Mediums Challenge (PM0324) on The Outlawz site where the theme was "sparkle and shine", interpreted any way you wanted.  I used this week's Sketch Spotlight Challenge (STVSKSP18) on StampTV for my layout.

Here is the STV sketch:

And here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Pacific Point.  I added a of GKD Layering Weight White that was embossed with the Cuttlebug Grace's Frame embossing folder.  I embossed a small panel with the CB Window Panes EF and layered that on Pacific Point.  My image is from the Gina K. Designs set, Seeds of Kindness and I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  I added a little sparkle with Spica pens.  The sentiments are also from Seeds of Kindness.  The image and sentiment panels were cut with Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities.  I added some purple ribbon and gems (more sparkle) from my stash to finish it.

Hope you had a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #10

This is my second post today.  I'm back with a quick post to share the card I made for the Weekly Challenge on Joan's Gardens' blog.  This week, the challenge had the following requirements:
- use pink and green
- create a thank you card
- use stripes somewhere on the card
- use something scalloped

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a base card of GKD Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus and layered with GKD Innocent Pink. The striped patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Green At Heart 6x6 pad. The floral image is from the JustRite set, Breath of Spring.  I colored it with Copics and highlighted with Spica pens.  The sentiment and frame are from the Gina K. Designs set, Fanciful Tags and they are mounted on one of the Spellbinders Fancy Tags die cuts.  My scalloped element is the Spellbinders Scalloped Oval.  I added Liquid Pearls to the flower centers and the scalloped frame.  A Kraft taffeta bow and some Queen & Co. adhesive pearls finished my card.

Have a great evening!  See you soon!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #73

Good morning!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  We had record high temperatures here yesterday (mid-80s) and although today is not supposed to be quite as warm as that, it is supposed to be a beautiful day!  I'm looking forward to getting outside to enjoy it!  Before I do, I have a card to share that I made for this week's challenge over in The Play Date Cafe.

Here is the inspiration photo:

My card is also for tthis week's Copics/Promarkers Challenge (CBC0318) on The Outlawz site, which was to make a card with a Spring or Mother's Day theme.

Here is my card for the challenges:

As soon as I saw the PDCC inspiration photo, I knew I had the perfect patterned paper in my stash.  I used a couple of different patterns from the Cosmo Cricket True Love collection.  My image is a digi from Digital Package #2 set that was generously provided as part of the second fund-raising effort for fellow stamper, Katie Renz.  Check out the Help For Katie blog for more information about Katie and the fund-raising efforts on her behalf.  This beautiful image called Floral Thoughts was designed by Trudy Sjolander of True =D Doodle Designs.  I colored it with Copic markers then sponged a little Tim Holtz Scattered Straw Distress Ink around it.  The sentiment is from the JustRite Happy Everything Tag kit.  A silk ribbon bow finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your weekend!

Color Throwdown #133 and More

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a card I made for The Color Throwdown #133

Here are this week's colors from Kristin:

My card is also for the Color Challenge on Paper Craft Planet (PCPColor 90, Week3), which coincidentally called for very similar colors to the CTD colors.  The colors were Rich Razzleberry, Concord Crush, Vanilla, Green and Yellow.  Finally, my card was also made for the March 15th Sketch Challenge that is part of the Birthday Celebration going on over at Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom blog

Here is the sketch for that challenge:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Eggplant Envy.  The shimmery patterned papers are all from the Bo Bunny Jazmyne collection.  I thought they'd be perfect because they had all the colors. Love when that happens! My image is Tilda With Balloon from the Magnolia You're So Special Collection.  I colored her with Copic markers, then cut her out and popped her up. I used a Sakura Clear Glaze pen on the balloon to make it shiny.  I added two shimmery Primas and a birthday sentiment from the Gina K. Designs Picture It set to finish it.

Thanks for stopping by!  I truly appreciate your visit!

Card Patterns Sketch 106

Good morning!  I'm dropping in to share a card I made for Card Patterns Sketch 106 and a couple of other challenges.

Here is the sketch:

My card is also for last week's Color Challenge on Paper Craft Planet (PCPColor90, week2), which was to use Baja Breeze, Celery, Red and Soft Suede and for this week's Greeting Card Challenge (GC031411) on The Outlawz site.  For this challenge, you had to have a sentiment on the front for an occasion or event and include an animal.

Here is my card for the challenges:

My card base is Papertrey Aqua Mist.  The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Hello Luscious 6x6 pad.  The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil, called Bella Carrying The Cake.  Isn't this too cute?  I colored it with Copic markers and highlighted with Spica pens for some sparkle. I used Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circles for my main image panel and mat.  The sentiment is computer-generated in the challenge colors.  I finished it with a few buttons from Basic Grey and my stash.

Oh, and here are the Copics I used:

Have a great day!  See you again soon!

Color Throwdown #132

Happy Saturday!  I've had a great day so far!  Just got back from meeting my stamping friends and we had a terrific time! I will post pictures as soon as I get them (from the only person who remembered to bring a camera...LOL)! A big shout out to Betty at the Stamping and Scrapbooking Room in Greensboro, NC.   Betty is awesome and she always takes great care of us when we visit!  Her store is fabulous and lucky for us, is centrally located about an hour or so from all of us.  If you are ever in central NC, you won't want to miss a visit to Betty's!

Anyway, I wanted to post the card I made for this week's Color Throwdown #132.  Here are the colors Broni had us work with this week:
I used the sketch from this week's Sketch Challenge (STVSKSP16) on StampTV for my layout.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with a base card of SU Baja Breeze and layered with GKD Wild Dandelion.  The patterned paper is from the October Afternoon Thrift Shop pad.  I stamped the daffodils from the GKD set, Sending Sunshine (by Theresa Momber) with Memento Tuxedo Black onto GKD Layering Weight White and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut out and popped up the image over mats cut with Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities.  The base image panel was sponged with Soft Sky for the cloudy sky and Memento Tuscan Tan for the ground.  The Easter sentiment is from the the GKD set, Spring Florals.   A Soft Sky bow finished it.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #73

I'm back with a quick post to share a card I made for this week's Challenge #73 on Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog.  This week, our hostess, Pat, has challenged us to use "a bit of green".  Perfect for this time of year!

Here is my card for the challenge:

My card is also for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge (CBC0311) on The Outlawz site which was to demonstrate coloring of transparent objects.  I colored the wings and bubbles to look transparent.  I started with a base card of SU Old Olive.  The dotted DP is from the Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime pad.  I used Mo's darling digi image of Fairy Tabia.  She was printed onto Cryogen White Iridescent CS and colored with Copic markers then highlighted with Spica pens.  To make them look transparent, I colored her wings and the bubbles with BG10, BG000 and C1.  The sentiment was computer-generated. A double-loop bow of sheer ribbon and a button from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for looking!  Be back when I can - I am tied up with some commitments for most of the weekend.

The Play Date Cafe #72 and Joan's Garden's Weekly #9

Good morning!  Can't believe it's already Friday!  I am SO looking forward to the weekend!  It will be extra special for me because I get to meet up with some stamping friends at our LSS, about an hour from here!  I can't wait! We always have fun chatting and shopping together!

On to my card.  I made it for Challenge #72 in The Play Date Cafe.  Here is the inspiration photo:

My card is also for Weekly Challenge #9 on Joan's Gardens blog, which this week had the following requirements: use orange and blue, use a Spring theme, use a die cut and use a circle.  I used the sketch from this week's Sketch Challenge (SC0309) on The Outlawz site for my layout.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Night of Navy.  The solid papers are from the Basic Grey Green At Heart 6x6 pad.  The the other patterned paper is from the K & Co. Que Sera Sera pad.  It was perfect because it had an abstract design and all the PDCC colors.  I stamped the orange panel with a word stamp from Gina K. Designs' Vintage Backgrounds set (type text) and the Vintage Word Background stamp from Heartfelt Creations (script).  The floral image is from the JustRite set, Breath of Spring.  I colored it with Copic markers and highlighted with Spica pens. The image panel and mat were cut with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circle dies.  I finished it with a sheer ribbon bow in navy.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Tuesday Trigger - Oh So Lovely

I'm back to share a card I made for the Tuesday Trigger challenge on Moxie Fab World.  I loved this week's inspiration photo with the aged chair and gorgeous blooms!

Here is this week's trigger:

I am also submitting my card to this week's Color Challenge (CC0308) on The Outlawz site.  The colors for the challenge were pink and orange and the "March Madness" extra was to include flowers.

Here is the inspiration photo:

Isn't that cake gorgeous?  I thought the colors of the flowers were similar to those in the Trigger bouquet.  For both, I was inspired by the colors and the flowers.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Sweet Mango and layered with Bubblegum Pink. The dotted patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  The cake image, by One8edegree Studios, was a freebie quite a while back from Aifactory. I colored it with Copic markers and added a few tiny coordinating gems.  The roses are a combination of Primas and Recollections (Michael's). I stamped the sentiment from the Gina K. Designs set, Hope Grows, with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Layering Weight White and created a little banner.  Tied it with a scrap of pink embroidery floss and that was it.

Thanks for having a look!  Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Another JustRite Card

Good morning!  Hope your day is starting off great!  I have a card to share this morning that I made for a couple of challenges.  First, it is another for Joan's Garden's Weekly Challenge #8 where the only requirement was to use JustRite stamps. Go check out all the details of this challenge, because there are some awesome prizes to win if you participate (see my sidebar for a photo of the Grand Prize kindly donated by JustRite).  There was also a blog hop associated with the challenge, giving you even more chances to win a prize from Joan's Gardens!  I was honored to be one of the Guest Designers for the hop.  Joan generously invited the Guest Designers to make an additional card for the challenge if we chose to, so that's what I did.

My card is also for the CAS Challenge (CAS0306) on The Outlawz site.  This week it was a color challenge.
Here are the colors we had to use:

Here is my card for both challenges:

I started with a cardbase of GKD Heavy Base Weight White.  The matting is done with GKD Grass Green CS that was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.  The image is from the JustRite set, Breath of Spring.  I colored it with Copic markers and added dots of light green glitter to the frame.  The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Origins 6x6 pad.  I used Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Ovals to cut my main image panels.  A bit of yellow gingham ribbon from my stash finished my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you soon!
