SWAP°PEN auf Deutsch 5

Hi there not German Speaking people: I am so sorry, but this post will be only nice to read for you , but you cannot participate. But if you are interested I will tell you what this is about.

Hi Ihr nicht deutsch sprechenden Leute: Es tut mir so Leid, aber dieser Post ist für Euch nur nett zu lesen, aber mitmachen könnt Ihr Leider nicht. Fall es Euch aber interessiert, erzähle ich euch darüber.

In December 2012 I started the German speaking swap SWAP°PEN auf Deutsch. I love this name, because it includes the English word "swap" and forms a German verb from a foreign word. The aim was to get the modern quilting community in Germany a bit closer together.

Im Dezember 2012 habe ich den deutschsprachigen Swap = Tausch SWAP°PEN auf Deutsch ins Leben gerufen. Ich liebe den Namen, weil er das englische Wort "swap" beinhaltet und als Verb verdeutscht ist. Das Ziel war, die deutsche Moderne Quiltwelt ein wenig zusammen zu rücken.

And now this swap is really going in round 5!!! This time we swap a pillowcase, miniquilt or tote, BUT there is a minimum of participants of 40 and this could be a challenge. So go and spread the word... in German of course :))).

Und nun geht der Swap wirklich schon in die 5te Runde!!! Dieses mal tauschen wir Kissenhüllen, Miniquilts oder Beutel, ABER es gilt vorher noch eine Hürde zu überwinden. Es müssen mindestens 40 Teilnehmer werden, das ist die Herausforderung. Also geht los und verkündet die frohe Botschaft... :))))

I am so glad I came up with the idea of a German speaking swap: Swap°pen auf Deutsch. I thought there might be some more quilter somewhere in D-A-CH (which means Germany, Autria and Switzerland) - and I was so right ;-).
We are now in the second edition - after making pillows we made totes. What a huge suxess. So many wonderful and talented ladies in our neighbourhood.... glad you came out of your houses ;-). Ok, some of us knew eacht other already LOL

Ich bin so froh, dass ich meine Idee eines deutschsprachigen Swaps umgesetzt habe mit Swap°pen auf Deutsch. Ich dachte mir schon, da müssen doch noch mehr Quilterinnen irgendwo in D-A-CH sein - und ich hatte so recht ;-).
Wir sind gerade mitten in der zweiten Ausgabe - nach Kissen haben wir Beutel genäht. Was für ein riesen Erfolg. So viele wunderbare und talentierte Mädels in unserer Nachbarschaft... schön, dass ihr vor die Tür getreten seid ;-). Ok, einige von uns kannten sich schon vorher LOL

I got a tote or better a bag from the gorgeous Erika. This is a real stunner and I am so happy with my new tote. Look at all these beautiful and clever details! I got also wonderful scraps of fabrics I don´t have and chocolate :)

Ich habe einen Beutel oder doch eher eine Tasche von der grandiosen Erika bekommen. Das ist ein echter Hingucker und ich liebe meine neue Tasche. Schaut Euch bloß die wunderschönen und genialen Details an! Ich habe auch noch tolle Rest bekommen, von denen ich keinen der Stoffe selbst besitze und Schokolade :)

Swap°pen auf Deusch is going in a spring/summer break and comes back in September with pillows - That´s what the most of you want to sew :)!

Nun geht Swap°pen auf Deusch in die Frühlings- bzw. Sommerpause und wir sehen uns im September mit Kissen wieder - auf Euren Wunsch :)!
