Welcome!

YES! You are the right page! I just have a new name! :) After realizing that I do more than just scrapbooking, I've decided to change the name and will be changing the look.. I'd do a whole new blog but I'd hate to have to start all over.
Here you will find scrapbooking ideas. There's a ton of older posts that used the Cricut, but lately I haven't been using it much and well, my sewing machine is gaining more miles by the day.

Trick or Tweet

Halloween is soon approaching.. and ya know what that means?! I get to see Andre in 6 days! Ok ok, it's also time for Trick or Treaters, which I will be missing in IA. So sad as a friend of mine is taking her two adorable twin girls out, and I'm gonna miss it :( But I did get pictures of them trying on their Lamb outfits (they will be 2 in November) and they are SO PRECIOUS!!!

So, since I'm missing it, I'm making them cards, and giving them their 'treats' early (which will probably be something along the lines of Animal Crackers) I also made one for Miss Lilly too, and I'll be getting hers in the mail probably on Tuesday.

I was inspired by Robyn (The Pink Stamper) during a post she did back in September. Here is a link to her post. She did a video with the Imagine using the Create a Critter Cartridge.

The Chickie was cut from Create a critter, the hat and cauldron are from PDDU. The hat was embellished with Stickles (Platinum) and the cauldron with Lime Green. It might be hard to tell, but the orange paper was embossed with Pumpkin Harvest. "Trick or Tweet" printed from my computer (Black Chancery for the Font) Hat was cut in Dark purple cardstock, which shows up a LOT better in person.

Thanks for looking! (and if you haven't already yet, check out Robyn's Blog! She's great!!)

Back To School Blog Hop!

Thanks for taking the time to stop at my blog! I'm so excited, as this is my first time in having a blog on a hop. I'll try not to ramble too much, as there are many stops to go. I'd like to take a moment to thank Sarah over at Pink Cricut, for inviting me to participate! Thanks so much, and I'm looking forward to doing this again! You should have arrived here from her blog, if not, please make sure to check it out!

This blog hop runs from Saturday 8am until Sunday Night at 11:30pm

Be sure to leave a comment, letting me know that you were here (and I LOVE comments!) Plus, as the end of this hop, everyone that comments will be entered to win the New Cricut Cartridge, HAPPY HAUNTINGS, from Memory Miser, who is the Sponsor of this Hop! And Tangee over at Kricut Krazy will be giving away Cindy Loo, donated by ScrappySales.

This has been a crazy week as between work and trying to work on my project, it's been a wonder I've gotten much sleep. This was a challenge for me, as I don't really have any back to school type pictures, and with Lilly being with her father, well, he's not always good about remembering to bring the camera places. However, I know that they have school pictures and "First day of School" and such, and she likes to color and draw, so she can always do that to fill this book up.

For this hop, I did a mini book. The overall size is 10x10. I wanted to do something unique that I haven't done before, so me and my Bind it All got to know eachother a little bit, as we did a few runs cause I've never done more than one set of holes before. After checking out some online tutorials on how to line up the punches, I still think I did it wrong :) But it opens, closes and looks alright, so that's all I'm worried about.

The book is made with Matboard, and I cut the windows out on my cricut. All lettering was done with Cricut Keystone. The bus and the 2nd Grade were cut from Locker Talk. Faces from Paper Doll Dress Up.

Layouts from a Future Scrapper

As promised, here is the wonderful art work that Lilly and I created this weekend! She did 99% of the work - from choosing the images, Choosing the papers, putting the paper on the mat (which she thought was SO COOL that it was sticky.. and surprisingly, with the amount of times that she put her hands on it, "Look Mom, it's sticking to my hands" *giggle* the mat DID NOT loose its stickyness thoughout the day! We did a ton of cuts too!) Anyways, she pressed the buttons, scraped the images off the mat. All I did was cut the paper in half (or pieces when we used a few scraps up)

Here are the paper doll creations that Lilly made this weekend! She is the Mermaid and her sister is the princess. Notice where the waves are? The mermaid (Lilly) is happy looking at the princess (her sister) knowing that even they are in different 'worlds' (Lilly is moving to California at the end of the month.... While her sister will stay in MN) they can still see each other and are close by and they are friends. - Amazing (can't think of the word! - not logic, not theory, not tale.. C'mon help me out!) from a 6 year old

Perfect Pear - Revisited!

This past weekend a Coworker got married! We were invited to the dance, and well, I just HAD to pull out my cricut (even tho I had no urge to LOL) and make her something super cute.

I went back to the Perfect Pear Card - because it's so darn cute! And this time, below you will find 2 cute files - one for a 5x7 Card (which is this one) and one for a 4.25x5.5 card (A2)
You will need Joys of the Seasons and Paper Doll Dress Up for this one!

Cuttlebug - D'vine swirl used for the back
Fun Flock for the leaves
Stickles for the veil and hat accents
and skittles for the veil and bow
I did not use the flowers in the cut file, instead I used Heather Flower Soft.

Perfect Pear

I was inspired by a Cricut Message Board Member - Z-Annie.
She posted an adorable card of a pair of pears - for the "perfect pear".
I adored it and had to make it right away!
Here's a link to her original card - http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=3170134&mpage=1&key=&#3170134
Pears are JOTS, accessories are Paper Dolls

I made these as anniversary cards for my parents (the top one) and my brother (bottom one)
This first one is for my parents - their wedding colors were blue and white. Pears are embossed with Swiss dots, leaf is flocked. Veil is vellum, with stickle and skittle accents. Skittles colored with Silver alcohol ink. Flowers are stickles. Background paper is blue (it looks lavender in the picture) embossed with D'vine swirl.

This one is for my brother and his wife Everything's the same as above card, their colors were gold and purple. Background paper is left overs from their wedding invites that I made.
