A Cautionary Tale

This morning, I have just done one of the worst things  that any woman 'of a certain age'..and certainly one who owns up to having what Shimelle's post  HERE , calls 'vintage' photos to scrap ;)
....can do. I have looked in the mirror with my glasses on!!!!!

I mean that I have looked at my face, not just a general 'does this look OK to pop out in?' sort of glance...and I'm sure it looks much more lined than it normally does.

I am putting up two theories (apart from the obvious, of course) here, one of which is that wearing your glasses to look at your face must obviously magnify that- which- you-do- not -wish -to- know- about!

The other is that , for the last few weeks I have not been using my usual moisturiser -i.e. moisturiser for wrinkly mature skin

This is mainly because it is more expensive than 'off the shelf' moisturisers AND I have to send for it, adding to the cost. Being on a bit of an economy drive at the moment, and having a couple of moisturisers I had bought 'to do' when I have run out whilst travelling, I decided to use these instead.

Now I know I might be kidding myself, but I have felt my skin a bit dryer this past week or so and was just talking myself around to get an order in. Now that I have actually looked at it, guess what's next on my 'to do' list- yep, an order to LIZ!

Kirsty will laugh at this when I tell her, because I'm always telling her to use the best moisturiser she can afford (or talk ME into buying for her!), as I have always believed that to be the case.

Whichever of these reasons is true, my advice is:
a) don't look in the mirror with your glasses on!
and
b)DO buy the moisturiser for wrinkly mature skin if you can afford it!!

On another note, I just wanted to share this pic of the lovely 'Happy Mail' I received from our friend  MELISSA last week- even the envelope was a work of art!

Thanks Melissa!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
