SNAP!

 It's a beautifully sunny and warm Wednesday morning here......I know that's not the case everywhere, and believe me I know how blessed I am to live here!

Whilst hanging out the washing, I remembered about HELENA'S weekly photographic meme and, having a quick look around the garden, realised how beautiful and plentiful the freesias are.

What amazes me about these is that (as you can see from the top two photographs) they seed themselves in between gravel and rocks and multiply every year....I've said it before- but ain't Mother Nature wonderful!

Hope there are pretty things to look at in your own gardens my friends

SNAP!

Belatedly joining in with the weekly photographic meme organised by my friend HELENA.

I have just returned from a trip to the USA..... Craig was there on business and I tagged along!

We flew in and out of New York, but the rest of the time we were in Phoenix: whilst there I was taken to a HUGE Asian Supermarket and I was intrigued by some of the produce there:

GOBO (apparently it originates from Japan)

JACKFRUIT (supposedly the largest tree-borne fruit in the world!)

COCONUTS (I thought all coconuts were brown!)

WHITE DRAGONFRUIT

Oh!...and those hands?......

I forgot to mention who took me to said supermarket:

....our very own DEB TURTLE!

.....and her lovely daughter CARRIE!

As always, it was fun to spend some time with these two!

After an early(ish) rise on Sunday morning and noticing what a beautiful sunrise we had over the valley, I decided sunrises would be my theme for this week's SNAP meme, hosted by my friend HELENA

My friend HELENA has come up with another great photographic meme for 2016.....titled SNAP, the idea is 'to share a set of between 2 and 4 images that have a visual link such as colour, shape or subject that form a photo essay (or anything else you care to share as a visual set' 

Like many part of the northern hemisphere, Spring is coming early in our valley:

.....which means the almond blossom is starting to appear...it's sparse at the moment, but give it a week or two and it will be in full bloom.
