Michael Madsen being awesome, and a jaw-dropping return from the dead are the highlights here.

• Madsen is always cool. And this tortured, off-kilter character is perfect for him and fun to watch.
  
• A character returned from the dead, someone who had been a big part of the show in season one. It was a total shock, and a great start to the episode.
  
• Another character was murdered. This, however, was easy to predict (from conversations with Deena) and was a weak end to the episode.
  
• The bank siege storyline was just weird. What exactly did Todd hope to achieve? And why did Calista bother to help him take the money, if she was just going to kill him? Frustrating.

• The first episode to really play with the conspiracy angle.
  
• Good scenes for Michael Madsen and Enrico Colantoni as both of their characters enter the storyline more fully.
  
• The best scenes, however, revolved around the main cast. Zora (rapidly becoming my favourite character on the show) and Calista got lots of material showing us more about their characters, while Christian and Deena were put through the standard conspiracy tropes. And looked cool doing it.

First episode to make use of Tricia Helfer, giving her a lot of good scenes (including flashbacks) and adding a lot to the story. Her character’s backstory is interesting and complex. None of this was hinted at before. 9/10

Superb performances from Eddie Izzard and (in the final scenes) Michelle Forbes. Great action and stuntwork, too. Love the shows visuals. They’ve gone for something not realistic, but every effective. 10/10
