Setting patriotic Examples.
--Very many ladies residing on Church Hill, have expressed a desire to contribute their brass kettles to the Government, to aid in making cannon. In so doing, they have but given expression to the latent patriotism which the events of the war have shown to dwell in the breast of every Southern woman. We have no doubt that the ladies throughout the South would make similar contributions, were the matter brought to their attention. As brass is much needed, the Government would do well to tell the ladies their offerings would be acceptable.
