Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge #252 Add a Heart

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is a new month and we are having a love-ly challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner.  The month of February is all about hearts and love. So we want to see your projects with hearts on them.

Here is the card I created using the adorable image from  LeAnn's World 101

The image is titled: LeAnn and Byron Valentine.  I had fun coloring this image.

I don't think the camera caught the colors that well.  I colored the image with Copic Markers:

Skin: E11, E21, E51, E50

His Hair: E49, E47, E44

Her Hair: E29, E25, E25, E51, E39

Dress: R56, R37, R35

Suit: T7, T5, T3, T1

Shoes: T8, T7, T5

Hearts: R37, R35, R56

Flowers: C1, G28, G14, R46, RV35

Shirt: B39, B37, B34

Eyes: B04, B02, B00, E15, E13, E11

Here is a close up of the image:

The card base was made from white cardstock and a deep red.  I then layerd a piece of acetate from Terea Collins to create the background.

I finish the card off with a sticker sentiment I had in my stash from Heidi Grade and an Organza bow.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy New Year! I want to share a project I created for my Besties this past Christmas.  I created this 3-D crafty tote using dies from ScrapDiva.

I embellished the tote with pattern paper from Doodlebug. This is looking at the useful pocket side. The pocket is created using an extra piece of cardstock.

This is looking at the opposite side

Here is a look from the top

You can see on the left side the two pockets I created with some extra cardstock, that makes them useful.  I then used some flocked texture cardstock from Doodlebug to line the inside the bag.
I stuffed the totes with embellishments, candy, socks and chapstick.

Love to Craft- Challenge- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new month, which means a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  The theme is anything goes so let's see that you have made.  Share it with us.

This month I want to share a new paper crafting project I have ventured into. I am loving these 3D shadow box projects.  The one today is of a ladybug.

The file it self is a total of 12 layers to make this picture.  I used my Cricut to cut the layers and then I place each layer on top of each other with a foam strip in between,

The picture does not allow this project to pop the way it is in person, but still worthy of a share.

Now, let's see what you have created lately.  Please leave me a comment and then head over to Love to Craft Challenge Blog and share your project.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

 Hello Crafty Friends,

We are one more month closer to the Christmas season.  It also means I get to share another Christmas Card I created.

Here is the card I created using a stamp set from Stampin' Up.

I am not really into the Santa part of Christmas, but I think this set and card are cute.

I first stamped the border images with black ink on white cardstock.  I then stamped the solid part of the image with red/black.  I then cut out the images by fussy cutting.

I added the twine to the card and then stamped the clothes pins in a soft brown color.  I then clipped the articles of clothing on the line.

I finished the card off, by adding the sentiment at the bottom.

I love Christmas and love to create Christmas cards.  Please leave me a comment and then create a Christmas card of your own and share it with us at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Mix It Up Challenge Blog- Anything Goes with a 3D twist

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Mix it Up Challenge Blog.  We want to see your 3-D projects.  No flat projects here, we want to see the dimension!

Yesterday, I shared a baby banner I created for a Baby Shower that never happened because of the pandemic.  Today, I want to share just a few pages of the almost 29 page album I created for the family with the continued theme from the banner.

Here is the cover.  The theme was hot air balloons.

On the front cover  I created the background using my Cricut.  I then ran some rose ribbon around the far left side.  I cut and assembled the hot air balloons from Miss Kate's Cuttables and placed them in the right top corner.  To finish it, I added some pink and white flowers around the bottom.

Here is a few pages.

I made them kind of generic since I did not know the Mom-to-Be, but I wanted them to be easy for her to just add her photos.

I had fun making this project.  Now it is your turn to create something that is not flat, and has some dimension.  Share it with is at Mix it Up Challenge Blog.  Also, please leave me a comment.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

 Hello Crafty Friends,

New month brings new challenges to the Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  As always, the theme is "Anything Goes", so get creative.

This month I am sharing a banner I made for a Baby shower that never happened. I create a couple of custom pieces for this baby shower, but the pandemic hit and the event was cancelled.  The items were delivered to the family, but the shower never happened.

I created this banner pieces using an old Close to My Heart Cricut cartridge called Art Philosophy and my Cricut. I then used doilies cut in half for the top of the banner pieces.  For a different look, I attached paper straws, cut to length on the top of the banner pieces and ran the twine through the straws.

I embellished the end pieces with pink baby feet on each side.

I loved creating it and the family loved receiving it.
Now it is your turn.  Create a new project and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Please also leave me a comment.

P.S. I am sharing the album for this project in my post for tomorrow, November 2nd!

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am so excited to be joining the Merry Little Christmas Design Team as well.  I love all things Christmas, so being able to create Christmas cards throughout the year will be so much fun.

So let's get started with my first Christmas card in July...

This card was created using the Holiday Jars die set from Queen and Company. I bought the kit last year and I am just getting around to use it.

Everything on the card was included in the kit, except the scallop die I used for behind the jar (Fun Stampers Journey-retired) and the white card stock for the scallop and the sentiment strip.  I used some "faux" snow from Dollar Tree to put in the jar.

I love making shakers and Christmas is a great reason to make cute shaker cards.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Then, join us at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and share your Christmas cards.

Bitten By the Bug 2- Collaboration Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 and we collaborated with Double Trouble.  It is all about layers for this challenge.

For Cuddle Up Day, let's think cozy and warm...  Layer Up!  You MUST use at least one die, punch, or machine cut and include at least two or more layers on your project. Bring on your card layering techniques and Layer Up.

I created this free file form Dreaming Tree, for an upcoming class and thought this was a great "layered up" project.

The layers are are in the flower on the front of the card holder.  It is a total of 7 different layers.  It is such a fun design too.

Here is a close up of the layers.

Thank you for stopping by.   Please leave me a comment.  Then create a project with layers and share it with us here at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Bitten by the Bug 2 has a new challenge today entitled "Fun and Games".  My favorite sport, and I do not watch a lot of sports, is baseball.  I enjoy it because I understand it.  I like to attend games for the fun and fellowship.  So, the fun and games I represented in the challenge was Baseball.

Here is the envelope card I created with a file from My Scrap Chick.

With a few pieces of cardstock and my Cricut, I created a cute envelope card to give to my favorite player.

Here is a look at the back where you could write your message.

Now it is your turn.  Create a project with your Cricut that has to do with fun and games and share it with us a Bitten by the Bug 2.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog- October Challenge

 Hello Crafty Friends,

New month, new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  This month I wanted to share a project I created for my ladies for our crop in August.

The theme of the crop was Mexican Fiesta, so I had to create little pinatas for the treat.

The pinata is created using the die set from Sizzix.  I just used cardstock I had around.

I then filled the little pinatas with Jelly Belly's.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Now it is your turn.  Create a crafty project and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Witches and Ghouls

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 and it is all about Halloween.  Witches and Ghouls are the scary part of Halloween and can be popular among people.  If you know anything about me, I do not do scary for Halloween, so this was a stretch.

I decided on making this Candy Treat box from Dreaming Tree and gifted it to a friend.

It is larger than I expected but, pretty easy to put together.

Here is a close up of the front of the box.

Here is a close up the back picture with the ghouls.

I used cardstock I had on hand to create the box.  It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the ghosts are cut from white glitter cardstock.

Now it is your turn.  Create a Halloween project with your Cricut including witches and ghouls and share it with us at Bitten By the Bug 2.

FYI, she loved it!

Bitten by the Bug 2 in Collaboration with Double Trouble Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

The challenge for the next two weeks on Bitten by the Bug 2 is a collaboration with Double Trouble Challenge Blog.  The theme is baby, so I wanted to make this adorable onesie box from My Scrap Chick.

I used cardstock from my stash and pattern paper from Fun Stampers Journey's Good Life collection.

I cut everything out with my Cricut and then created the box first.

I then put the little vest and tie on to the top using foam squares.  For an added dimension, I added some blue buttons from my stash.

I finished the box off by adding stitched lines with a white pen around the edges.

The box is a nice size and would be perfect for a small gift or candy.

Now it is your turn.  Check out the information on Bitten by the Bug 2 and create your own Baby project and share it with us.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog: Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is July 1st, can you believe it?  Half of the year is over already and I have so much more I want to do.

Today I want to share with you a tag I created for a swap recently.  I used the Prehistoric Family stamp set from Kindred Stamps to create this tag.

The two girls and the sentiments are all from the stamp set.

I used my Copics to color the characters:

Wilma:

Skin: E11, E21, E51, E50

Hair: E08, E13

Lips: R35

Betty:

Skin: E11, E21, E51, E50

Dress and Bow: B23, B21

Hair: 100, C9, C7

Lips: R35

The background paper and ribbon were from my stash.

I loved creating this tag and want to see what you come up with.  Please craft something and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  Also, leave me a comment.

Bitten by The Bug 2- May Flowers

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we start a new challenge with a "May Flowers" theme over at Bitten by the Bug 2.  I love Gerber daisies, so when I saw this cut file from Dreaming Tree, I knew I had to make it for this challenge.

I cut the file with some cardstock from my stash and wrapped the elements around the tea light.

To finish it off, I added the leaves strip to the bottom.  It was really quite simple and is a free svg file from Dreaming Tree.  I could see these at a tea party or wedding as centerpieces as well.

So, now it is time for you to create something with flowers using your Cricut and sharing it with us at Bitten by the Bug 2.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Bitten By the Bug 2- Graduation

Hello Crafty Friends,

Graduation season is upon us and our new challenge is Graduation.  I used my Cricut to make a Congrats banner.

I used Close to My Heart Art Philosophy to cut the banner pieces and the letters.  Then I used cut files from Kate's Cuttables to cut the diplomas, hats, "You did it!" signs stars and swirls.

Here is a closer look at the banner pieces.

To finish the pieces, I added some black enamel dots to each piece.

Now it is your turn.  Create something for graduations with your Cricut and share it with us at Bitten By The Bug 2.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's a new month that means we have a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  This month I decided to create a easel card.

I love easel cards because the card can be displayed for all to see.

This card was made with some pattern paper I found in my stash, I don't even know where I got it.  I just loved the flowers and garden theme.

When you open the card, it stands like this.

A little trick I did was I used a border of a pattern paper and placed across the bottom of the card inside and this can be used to hold the easel part up.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.  Then create your own project and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.
