Fancy Gatefold Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

I found this card on Pinterest and loved it, so I had to try it.

I started with a regular 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Kiwi Slice Cardstock.  I folded this piece as usual for a gatefold card.

The magic comes when  you stamp the image on the front.  I stamped and masked the flowers on the front with the bow from Cottage Bouquet from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then colored the image with my Color Burst pencils, also from Fun Stampers Journey.

Then you place the pieces on the front in such a way that it opens like this.

I used the Good Life Paper collection from Fun Stampers Journey and embellished the insides with it.

Here is the inside, where I stamped one flower and colored with my color pencils.

Here is where I got the instructions.

Happy Birthday Elephants

Hello Crafty Friends,

Birthday cards are always fun to create.  Birthday cards for kids are even more fun to make.  I recently bought this Lawn Fawn set and saw this idea on Pinterest.  I knew I needed to create this.

The card base is created with Tangerine Fusion Cardstock and pattern paper from Fun Stampers Journey.
I stamped the elephants and colored them with my colored pencils.
The sentiment is stamped from a set from Spellbinders with Black Licorice ink.

Simple card, but a fun card to send to the next kid's birthday.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Sorry I'm slow

Hello Crafty Friends,

I love sloths.  There I said it.  I think they are cute.  I think after I watched the "Zootopia" movie and Flash, my love for sloths grew.  If you have never seen the movie, I highly recommend it.  It is a cute movie with a great message too.

The card base is created with Butter Cream Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey, a layer of Coastal Village cardstock from Recollections and then a layer of corrugated paper.
I then stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn on Pool Play Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.
I then stamped the sloth with the tree branch and the party hat on Butter Cream Cardstock and colored the image with colored pencils.
I then stamped the inside of the card with a sentiment from the same stamp set.

I would imagine that a sloth would send out birthday cards late.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Warmest Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are getting closer and closer to Christmas and I am having so much fun creating Christmas cards.  I love Christmas, so Christmas card making is one of my favorite things to do and I can work on them way before Christmas season.

The card I have for you today is a design I had in my mind since I saw this stamp set.

I started with a Fresh Forest cardstock base.  I then added a layer of this beautiful wood grain paper that a friend gave me.  I think it fits the card perfectly.

I then stamped the lantern with Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock, fussy cut the lantern and added a piece of acetate to the back.

I then stamped the candle and colored with my Color Burst Pencils.

The pine needles and pinecones are a die from Fun Stampers Journey that I cut out with Fresh Forest, Oatmeal Cookie and Hazelnut Blend cardstock.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Candy Apple ink on Whip Cream cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by and looking.  I hope you found some inspiration.

I then stamped the image and the sentiment on a piece of Butter Cream cardstock.  I colored the apples with my Color Burst Pencils.
I added some Natural twine to the card, by criss crossing the twine a few times.

5/1/19

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a great day for this first day of May.  This year is flying by.

Today, I would like to share with you a shaker card.  I love making shaker cards, but I think this one is my favorite.

I used the stamp set Peony Blooms for this card.  I stamped the small peony flower with Rustic Rose ink around the white cardstock that I then die cut with the Journey Ovals, with the Peaches and Cream Cardstock to make the window.
I then attached the Whip Cream Cardstock and Peaches and Cream Cardstock together.  Then, I started to make my shaker sandwich.
1. Cardstock
2. Acetate
3. Foam tape
4. Cardstock
I used some sequins from the Sunrise Mix for the shaker part.
I then stamped the big peony flower image on Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink, die cut it with the matching die set and colored the image with the Color Burst Pencils.
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Peony Blooms stamp set with River Stone ink on the Peaches and Cream Cardstock and added that to the card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a fun card to share with you.

The base of the card is Kiwi Slice Cardstock, with a layer of pattern paper from the RSVP Prints.  I then cut a scallop into the base, using Journey Scallops.  I attached a piece of acetate between the pattern paper and the card base.   I stamped the frog from the Stick Around stamp set on Limeade Splash Cardstock and Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink, then used the matching die to cut out the frog.  I fussy cut the eyes and placed them on the frog.
I colored the frog to give him dimension with Journey Color Burst pencils.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was stamped with Black Licorice ink on Limeade Splash cardstock.
To finish the card, I used micro glue dots on the frog's toes to add him to the back of the acetate piece.

Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Cottage Bouquet set, with Black Licorice ink.  I also stamped the daisy from the Cottage Bouquet set with Black Licorice.  I colored the flower with Color Burst Pencils.
I attached the sentiment with adhesive and then added the flower with a foam square.

Hello Crafty Friends,

It has been a whirlwind of a few days.  I have been so busy that nothing but work and home is getting done.

I am back though and have some great things to share with you.

Today, I am sharing another card from the On the Bright Side stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.

I created the background by randomly stamping the images with Black Licorice ink on the Pool Play Cardstock base.
I then die cut Beach Breeze Cardstock, the two scallop borders with Border Basics Die set.  I then anchored these on a strip of Whip Cream Cardstock, that I had stamped with the sentiment from On The Bright Side stamp set and Black Licorice ink.
I stamped the sailboat and lure with Black Licorice ink on Pool Play Cardstock and Whip Cream Cardstock.  I used the Journey Color Burst pencils to color each image.  I then anchored them to the card using foam squares.
I finish the card by adding a piece of Natural Twine around the card and tied it to the lure.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.
