Stampin Friends Blog Hop- Just Rewind and Redo

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop.  This month the theme is Rewind and Redo. This means that we are sharing a new project using a technique or project we have done in the past.  I am redoing this project from our January Hop, Birthday Celebrations.  If you are following along the hop, you should have arrived from Steph Jandrow's blog.  Make sure to read through my blog, comment below and then continue to Jo Blackman's blog.

If you get lost along the way, you can find a list of Blog Hoppers at the end of each blog.

Here are the projects I created for our Just Rewind and Redo theme.

Up first is the card I created.

I created the card base with paper from Echo Park and the die from Sizzix.  I then stamped the image from Clearly Besotted- Flower Friends on a piece of White cardstock and die cut it with my Journey Squares.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set with black ink.

I colored the image with my Copics:

Body: W5, W3, W1

Stem: YG13, YG11

Flower: Y15, Y13, Y11.

I then created a tag to match using the same supplies and Copics.  I made the tag with a die from Spellbinders.

Together the projects look wonderful, don't you think?

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment and then hop along with us.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog: Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is July 1st, can you believe it?  Half of the year is over already and I have so much more I want to do.

Today I want to share with you a tag I created for a swap recently.  I used the Prehistoric Family stamp set from Kindred Stamps to create this tag.

The two girls and the sentiments are all from the stamp set.

I used my Copics to color the characters:

Wilma:

Skin: E11, E21, E51, E50

Hair: E08, E13

Lips: R35

Betty:

Skin: E11, E21, E51, E50

Dress and Bow: B23, B21

Hair: 100, C9, C7

Lips: R35

The background paper and ribbon were from my stash.

I loved creating this tag and want to see what you come up with.  Please craft something and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  Also, leave me a comment.

Stampin Friends Blog Hop- Monochromatic March

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop.  This month and the theme is Birthday Celebration. If you are following along the hop, you should have arrived from Maureen Rauchfuss' blog.  Make sure to read through my blog, comment below and then continue to Jo Blackman's blog.

If you get lost along the way, you can find a list of Blog Hoppers at the end of each blog.

Here are the projects I created for our Monochromatic March theme.

If you know me, you know I love pink, so of course I would pick pink for my Monochromatic color.

I used 2 different pieces of pink cardstock from my stash to create the card base.  I then stamped the flower from Cottage Bouquet stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey (retired) with pink ink.  I then stamped one whole flower on another piece of pick cardstock.

I added some pink satin ribbon to the left side of the card and to add interest I tied some pink bakers twine around sections of the ribbon.

I finished the card by stamping the sentiment from the same stamp set and added some pink pearls to the card front.

For my project, I wanted to create a small little box to match the card.  So I pulled out my small milk carton die.

I can't wait to fill this little box and give it to a friend.  I used the same supplies as above, but used grey ink on white cardstock for the flower I placed on the top.  I attached the flower to the box by wrapping some pink bakers twine around the top of the box and tying the flower in.

Here are the card and box together.

Aren't they cute together?  I hope it brings a smile to my friend who receives it.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment and then check out all the other incredible projects from the other ladies this month.

Hello Ring Card

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a card I fell in love with on Pinterest.  Have you ever had a moment when you are looking through Pinterest and say to yourself, I have to make that card.  This was one of them for me.

I am not sure if it was the ring or just the layout with the swatches of different greens, but I loved and made it right away.

I used the Stampin Up Forever Fern bundle.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Leaves to a Good Friend

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today, I have a fun technique card to share.

You first start with a piece of cardstock cut 4 1/4 x 11 and fold in half as usual.

Then you cut from one side a piece measuring 3 3/4 inches, give or take.  Then take this piece and cut it in half.  One of these pieces becomes the bottom and one of the pieces becomes the vertical piece that holds the bottom piece on.

The inside of the card will look like this.

Then decorate as desired.  Here, I used pieces from the Forever Fern bundle from Stampin Up.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Forever Fern Friendship Card

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I am having so much fun with the Forever Fern Bundle from Stampin Up!  I have another fun card today.

This card is a fun fold and opens up on a diagonal.

The card is created by cutting a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock diagonally from corner to corner.  Since you are cutting the piece in half, you actually get two cards out of one piece of cardstock.

I think the gold element in this card really sets the card a part.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's a new month and that means a new anything goes challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  I think with everything is going on, people need a little encouragement, so this card was born.

I created the card with cardstock and pattern paper from Fun Stampers Journey.  I created the kite by seeing a pattern on Pinterest by Mixed Up Craft.  I wanted to use the kite pattern paper so much that I decreased the size of the kite and placed it on a card front.

I used the sentiment from Letter Board Mini's Artist Trading Stamp from Fun Stampers Journey.

I then tied some ribbon scraps to a piece of twine for the end.

I hope you found some inspiration here.  Now please create something original and join the challenge over at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Stampin Friends Blog Hop- Well Wishes

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop! This month’s theme is Well wishes and Pick Me Ups.  If you are following along the hop, you have arrived from Tiziana's blog. Be sure to read through my blog, comment below and continue to Steph's blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find a list of Blog Hoppers at the end of each Blog.

Here are the projects I created for this month’s hop.

Up first is the card.  I created the card using the Forever Fern bundle from Stampin up.

I used ink over the embossed image on the solid green cardstock to add some texture and to bring the image out.

I then used the same embellishments and decorated a Skittles Box to go with the card.

I created the gold netting strip by taking one of the laser cut pieces from the bundle and cut it in half and glued the two strips together to make a long strip.

Together the box and the card, I hope will pick up the person I hope to give it to.  A sweet treat and an encouraging word with pick me up!

I hope you liked the projects I shared and you will have some ideas after continuing with the hop.  Please leave me a comment and keep on hopping.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

August 1st!  Can you believe it? Where did July go?  The first brings a new challenge to Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Today, I would like to share with you a card I found on Pinterest that I thought was unique and fun.  It is called a Pinwheel card.

So, as you can see, the folded pattern paper makes a pinwheel shape on the front.

The inside looks like this.

I used pattern paper and cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then stamped the sentiments, stamps from Spellbinders, with Black Licorice Ink from Fun Stampers Journey.

Here is where I got the pattern.

I hope you will try it.  It is quite easy and fun too.

I'd be lost without you

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a fun card to share with you.  I got the original layout on Pinterest, but after seeing the card, I had to buy this set and create my own card.

I few firsts for me on this card.  First, this is my first slimline card.  I love all the extra space this card gives as well as the unique card you can make.  Second, I just received my first Distress Oxides and had to play with them on the sky area and the grassy areas.  I have to practice with these, but I can see many more ideas and techniques with these in the future.

The stamp set is Car Critters from Lawn Fawn.  The trees are from the Happy Village set, also from Lawn Fawn.
I created the road by cutting each side of a piece of River Stone Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Simple Way Border die.  I then die cut the Fun Stampers In Motion die down the middle for the "track".

I colored all the images with my Copics:
Car: R56, R37, R35, C5,C3, 100, B00, B000
Bears/tree trunks: E27, E23
Trees: YG67, YG17, YG03
Sun: Y15, Y13

I attached the car to a penny and then sandwiched a foam circle between the two pennies and placed them between the "track".

This is a fun interactive card for any age.
Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a great Sunday.  A day of rest for me before another busy week.

I have a fun card for anyone that loves to talk on the phone.

I colored the image with my Copic markers:
Skin: E11, E21, E51, E50
Hair: E57, E35, E33
Desk: G99, G94
Shorts: B37, B34
Phone: C2, C0

I used the Girl Squad paper from Pebbles for the pattern paper.
The stamp set is from Spellbinders.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Welcome to the Neighborhood

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have wanted to make some type of card that we could give to our new neighbors when they move in.

The card base is made with a Whip Cream cardstock, with a layer of Doodlebug pattern paper.  I then cut a strip from the paper with the houses.
I stamped the house from a stamp set from Family and Company from Fancy Pants.
I colored the house with my colored pencils.
I printed the sentiment off my computer.

Hello Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

Well, school is officially started and I have had no time to craft.  I hope to get back on schedule and be able to get back to crafting.

Today I want to share a card I created for my August Card Class.

This was a no stamping card.

The card should have no white background and be able to see through the card, but after asking my mom what she thought, she thought that it needed a piece of white card stock behind the acetate so when you write a message you won't see it from the front.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.

3/11/19

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have a card today that has no stamping.  I know this is not an "usual" card because we always use stamps, but I think you are going to like this.

I started with a piece of Good Life paper with the pink flowers.  I added a strip of the gingham paper and adhered it to the first piece.   I then wrapped and tied a bow with Whip Cream Thread.
I then die cut the word Hello with the Hugh Hello Die out of Rustic Rose Cardstock.  I glued this down to the card panel.  I then added 3 pearls to the bottom corner.
Lastly, I added the panel to the Whip Cream card base with foam squares.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.

I am entering this card in these challenge:
Spring is in the Air Daisy Chain Challenge  #18
Card with a Die Cut The Die Cut Divas #46
Anything Goes Creative Moments #60
